Mentorship Training

All mentor applicants are required to attend our transformative training experience — and this year, it's bigger and better than ever. By merging with Camp Continuum, our mentorship training is a holistic, game-changing program designed to elevate your leadership, deepen your emotional intelligence, and strengthen your connection to Islamic values.Through interactive workshops and expert-led sessions, you’ll grow in:

Leadership & Teamwork
Emotional Intelligence & Self-Regulation
Spiritual Growth & Islamic Character

You’ll be guided by renowned professionals including Dr. Farouk Dey, Dr. Pakeeza Ali, and others at the top of their fields.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
✅ Attentive to Details & Instructions
Able to follow guidance carefully and carry out tasks with precision and reliability.

🤝 Team Player
Works well with fellow mentors, volunteers, and staff to maintain a collaborative and positive environment.

🗣️ Strong Communication Skills
Can communicate clearly and respectfully with both youth and adults, including giving instructions and offering support when needed.

🧒 Good with Kids
Enjoys working with children and youth, showing patience, kindness, and the ability to connect with them meaningfully.

⏱️ Punctual & Reliable
Shows up on time, honors commitments, and can be trusted with responsibilities.

💡 Takes Initiative
Proactive in helping out, stepping in when needed, and looking for ways to improve the camp experience for everyone.

🌙 Values-Aligned & Spiritually Grounded
Respects the Islamic atmosphere of the camp and aims to be a role model in character, behavior, and spiritual conduct.

Junior Mentors & Lead Mentors

Junior Mentors:

Arrive by 10:00 AM

Providing support to lead mentors by:

Facilitate sports, art, and science activities

Study the material and be able to teach it to the youth

Help take kids to bathroom

Prep for salah

Be present with the youth at all times,

Avoid phone usage and any distractions not related to the program.

Camp Expectations

Location:MCA Khadijah Banquet Hall, Turf, and Basketball Court

Time/Date:
July 21-July 31 Mon-Thursdays 10AM-3:30PM

Plus Tentative Meetings as scheduled.

Expectations:- Attend trainings and meetings- Arrive by 10 AM sharp-

Be present and attentive through the duration of the camp

Availability:If you commit to the below dates, please try your best to arrive on time. If you know you are not available, please let us know at least 3 days prior of the camp day, so we can find a substitute.

If a last minute emergency occurs, or you are unable to make it on time, please let us know asap
