1. 0:00Welcome back to "As-Sirat al-Mustaqim" Ramadan series
2. 0:03We will continue today with the ways Satan uses
3. 0:07to attack you as a believer.
4. 0:09The fourth strategy that Satan deploy is when Allah SWT said:
5. 0:14(Satan only makes them ˹false˺ promises and deludes them with ˹empty˺ hopes.
6. 0:16Truly Satan promises them nothing but delusion)
7. 0:19Satan promises you, it's a fake promise, it's an empty promise.
8. 0:25And he gives you wishes, you know.
9. 0:28And I see that.
10. 0:29Subhanallah, especially in the financial world,
11. 0:32because people have this urge to make money, so much money
12. 0:35in a short time, how many people got, you know, hurt by the cryptocurrency?
13. 0:40By the stock market? By the real estate market?
14. 0:43Making irrational decisions
15. 0:46in hope that they will make a lot of profits
16. 0:49Allah SWT asks us to use our mind and to take our time
17. 0:54and to make Istikhara prayer before we make such a decision.
18. 0:58Subhanallah, the fifth strategy that Satan
19. 1:01deploys, Satan has a strategy
20. 1:04he wants to put in between you enmity and hatred.
21. 1:09This strategy, my dear brothers the sisters, is what usually destroys homes
22. 1:14between a husband and wife, anger and hatred, between parents
23. 1:18and children, anger and hatred, between business partners,
24. 1:23enmity and hatred between, you know, sometimes
25. 1:27brothers and sisters from the same mom and dad or brothers and sisters.
26. 1:32Even in faith, they were strong and beautiful.
27. 1:34They did not realize that Satan does not like that relationship
28. 1:39and the love in the name of Allah without a legitimate reason
29. 1:43turned into hatred and enmity and anger.
30. 1:48We should be always aware of that and always think, think, think
31. 1:52before we take a decision, utter a word, or cut off a relationship.
32. 1:57May Allah the Mighty and the Majestic unite us around his love, Ameen
33. 2:01The six strategy that (Satan) will deploy in your life
34. 2:04is when Allah SWT asks us to enter Islam in its entirety
35. 2:09(O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps)
36. 2:17and do not follow the steps of Satan, if you think Satan
37. 2:22is going to come to you and tell you from day one "Become an non-nbeliever"
38. 2:26He's not going to do that.
39. 2:27He knows you are not going to do that.
40. 2:29But what Satan do, takes you in steps. First,
41. 2:33makes you do minor sins here and there.
42. 2:37If he succeeds, he'll move you to major sins
43. 2:41so that you'll break the covenant between you and Allah SWT
44. 2:47If he doesn't succeed, Satan will come to you and look at your worship
45. 2:52and he will let you do the less important worship more than the more important.
46. 2:57He would make you pray all night.
47. 2:58And when it comes to Fajr, you fall asleep and you don't pray Fajr
48. 3:01He will make you always prefer something
49. 3:04less than more, if he doesn't succeed.
50. 3:07Also, Satan will come to you and make you impressed with your own self,
51. 3:12with your own worship
52. 3:13So it leads to arrogance and ego that is not healthy
53. 3:17and Allah does not love that.
54. 3:19Then Satan moves to another level.
55. 3:21He start talking about you adding to the faith
56. 3:24or taking away from the essentials of the faith which we call "Bida'a"
57. 3:28This is one of the worst paths that Satan could beautify
58. 3:31in the eyes of the believers. And then the highest level is "Kofor"
59. 3:35Disbelief completely losing your faith
60. 3:39or Shirk, associating partners with Allah SWT
61. 3:43Now, why does Satan do that?
62. 3:45Because misery loves company
63. 3:49and Allah told Satan that he's cursed
64. 3:52because He gave him a command
65. 3:55and He gave him a chance after chance after chance to correct himself,
66. 4:00and Satan said: "No, I'm not correcting myself.
67. 4:03I'm not going to bow down to Adam.
68. 4:05I will not take the chances I am his vowed enemy"
69. 4:09That's when Allah casted him out of His mercy.
70. 4:12Therefore, Satan wants you to go with him to hell now.
71. 4:17We seek refuge in Allah
72. 4:18We are Muslims, we're believers,
73. 4:20we have a better mind and heart than that and we can beat Satan at his own game,
74. 4:26the seventh strategy that Satan deploys is to make
75. 4:30you forget the remembrance of Allah SWT
76. 4:33Allah said in the Quran:
77. 4:35(Satan has taken hold of them, causing them to forget the remembrance of Allah)
78. 4:40Satan took complete
79. 4:41hold of some people that they forgot the name of Allah.
80. 4:46They forgot the Dhikr Allah SWT
81. 4:49Look how PBUH puts a shield around us from Satan
82. 4:55You read Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas, 3 times each in the morning
83. 4:59Plus Ayah Kursi, you have a shield right now.
84. 5:02You do that in the evening, after Aser, before Maghrib, you have a shield right now
85. 5:07you say Bismillah before you eat, you have a shield from Satan,
86. 5:10and he will not eat from you.
87. 5:11Before you go to sleep.
88. 5:12You say Bismillah, you have a shield around you, Satan
89. 5:15will not bother you in your sleep.
90. 5:17Constant Dhikr blocks out Satan from you
91. 5:23Satan's number one goal is to make you drop
92. 5:27that remembrance of Allah, so that he can penetrate
93. 5:30and enter your heart and mind through the other strategies.
94. 5:34And that's why Alhamdullilah for the month of Ramadan.
95. 5:38And we should keep it after the month of Ramadan in order
96. 5:41to stay away from Satan and close to Dhikr of Allah
97. 5:45The eighth strategy of Satan is to betray
98. 5:49you and leave you alone when you think he will stand with you.
99. 5:54Allah the Mighty and the Majestic said in the Quran:
100. 5:56(And Satan has always betrayed humanity)
101. 6:00he gives you this delusion
102. 6:03that if you do what he's asking you to do,
103. 6:06if you dare,
104. 6:07you're just dare, because, you know, daring gives you the illusion
105. 6:11that you are strong and powerful, that he will be there for you.
106. 6:16And when you think, okay,
107. 6:17I got people around me, I will be protected, no one can touch me.
108. 6:22Then you go and do the evil they ask you to do,
109. 6:25and then you'll find yourself alone.
110. 6:27One of the most beautiful examples, Sheikh Mohammed Rateb Al-Nablus
111. 6:30gave, is like someone went to the judge
112. 6:34and he put a case against someone else.
113. 6:36So the judge asked him, What's your case?
114. 6:39He said, This person made me jump
115. 6:43and fall into this hole that is full of sewer water
116. 6:48while I was wearing a white suit, going to a wedding.
117. 6:53So the judge asked him, did he push you?
118. 6:56He said, no, he didn't push me.
119. 6:59Did he scare you and
120. 7:01put a knife on your neck and said, if you don't jump, I will kill you?
121. 7:06You said, no, he didn't force me
122. 7:08Did he pushed someone else, who pushed you?
123. 7:09He said No. He said, Then what's your case?
124. 7:12He said, he only asked me to jump into the sewage water and I just jumped.
125. 7:17That is exactly what Allah SWT
126. 7:20says about Satan in The Noble Quran
127. 7:23that Satan gives a Khotba on the day of judgment
128. 7:27in this Khotba, basically he's saying: "I had no power over you
129. 7:32except that I invited you to do what is wrong and Haram and disbelief.
130. 7:38And you listened to me and you did it
131. 7:41so do not blame me and blame yourself.
132. 7:45I cannot help you.
133. 7:46And you cannot help me"
134. 7:48Subhanallah, this is one of the worst strategies of a Shaytan Ar-rajeem
135. 7:53May Allah protect us from that.
136. 7:55The ninth strategy of Satan
137. 7:58is what Allah said in his book:
138. 8:00(And do not let Satan hinder you, ˹for˺ he is certainly your sworn enemy)
139. 8:06Do not let Satan and repel you from faith
140. 8:10and make you resentful towards faith.
141. 8:14If you notice yourself that every time
142. 8:16you want to go to the Mosque, you feel like you don't want to go.
143. 8:19Oh, people are judgmental.
144. 8:21Oh, I can't. This is from Satan!
145. 8:23If you find yourself every time you want to go and hang out with good company
146. 8:28and you want to just like, you know, come back to your religion
147. 8:31No, no, no, no.
148. 8:32They don't like you. You're not one of them.
149. 8:34You don't belong there.
150. 8:36Stay away.
151. 8:37You will feel you are an outcast.
152. 8:39This is from Satan
153. 8:40when you feel yourself, you really want to just sit down and read Quran
154. 8:44and then suddenly you think about 10 things and you know,
155. 8:48you're busy with this and this and that and none of them is important.
156. 8:51This is from Satan, to repel you and make you resentful towards
157. 8:56your own faith, towards your good deeds, towards good people, towards good places.
158. 9:02And when you come to do what is evil,
159. 9:06he makes it beloved, then nice and easy and attractive.
160. 9:10That's the time you say,
161. 9:13I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan
162. 9:15And finally, the 10th strategy of Satan is
163. 9:20he becomes your Qareen
164. 9:23and he recruits you to his party
165. 9:26like a membership in his party were Makoni shaped by Angela who?
166. 9:28(And whoever takes Satan as an associate, what an evil associate they have!)
167. 9:34Allah SWT says that Satan keeps giving you company, company, company.
168. 9:40And then he makes you join the party of Satan
169. 9:43(They are the party of Satan)
170. 9:46The party, the group of Satan
171. 9:49When you find yourself always leaning to hanging out with the wrong crowd,
172. 9:55that's always doing something wrong and hurtful
173. 9:58and harmful to your heart and mind and soul.
174. 10:01Think of this Ayah, and walk out of that
175. 10:04crowd and repent to Allah and ask.
176. 10:07Allah's help and Allah's aid, for Allah
177. 10:11will come to your aid and will answer your heart.
178. 10:14Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
179. 10:16This concludes the ways and strategies of Satan
180. 10:20that he deploys to attack you and deviate you
181. 10:24Insha'Allah, tomorrow we will talk about how you can protect yourself effectively
