  1. Welcome back to "As-Sirat al-Mustaqim" Ramadan series
  2. We will continue today with the ways Satan uses
  3. to attack you as a believer.
  4. The fourth strategy that Satan deploy is when Allah SWT said:
  5. (Satan only makes them ˹false˺ promises and deludes them with ˹empty˺ hopes.
  6. Truly Satan promises them nothing but delusion)
  7. Satan promises you, it's a fake promise, it's an empty promise.
  8. And he gives you wishes, you know.
  9. And I see that.
  10. Subhanallah, especially in the financial world,
  11. because people have this urge to make money, so much money
  12. in a short time, how many people got, you know, hurt by the cryptocurrency?
  13. By the stock market? By the real estate market?
  14. Making irrational decisions
  15. in hope that they will make a lot of profits
  16. Allah SWT asks us to use our mind and to take our time
  17. and to make Istikhara prayer before we make such a decision.
  18. Subhanallah, the fifth strategy that Satan
  19. deploys, Satan has a strategy
  20. he wants to put in between you enmity and hatred.
  21. This strategy, my dear brothers the sisters, is what usually destroys homes
  22. between a husband and wife, anger and hatred, between parents
  23. and children, anger and hatred, between business partners,
  24. enmity and hatred between, you know, sometimes
  25. brothers and sisters from the same mom and dad or brothers and sisters.
  26. Even in faith, they were strong and beautiful.
  27. They did not realize that Satan does not like that relationship
  28. and the love in the name of Allah without a legitimate reason
  29. turned into hatred and enmity and anger.
  30. We should be always aware of that and always think, think, think
  31. before we take a decision, utter a word, or cut off a relationship.
  32. May Allah the Mighty and the Majestic unite us around his love, Ameen
  33. The six strategy that (Satan) will deploy in your life
  34. is when Allah SWT asks us to enter Islam in its entirety
  35. (O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps)
  36. and do not follow the steps of Satan, if you think Satan
  37. is going to come to you and tell you from day one "Become an non-nbeliever"
  38. He's not going to do that.
  39. He knows you are not going to do that.
  40. But what Satan do, takes you in steps. First,
  41. makes you do minor sins here and there.
  42. If he succeeds, he'll move you to major sins
  43. so that you'll break the covenant between you and Allah SWT
  44. If he doesn't succeed, Satan will come to you and look at your worship
  45. and he will let you do the less important worship more than the more important.
  46. He would make you pray all night.
  47. And when it comes to Fajr, you fall asleep and you don't pray Fajr
  48. He will make you always prefer something
  49. less than more, if he doesn't succeed.
  50. Also, Satan will come to you and make you impressed with your own self,
  51. with your own worship
  52. So it leads to arrogance and ego that is not healthy
  53. and Allah does not love that.
  54. Then Satan moves to another level.
  55. He start talking about you adding to the faith
  56. or taking away from the essentials of the faith which we call "Bida'a"
  57. This is one of the worst paths that Satan could beautify
  58. in the eyes of the believers. And then the highest level is "Kofor"
  59. Disbelief completely losing your faith
  60. or Shirk, associating partners with Allah SWT
  61. Now, why does Satan do that?
  62. Because misery loves company
  63. and Allah told Satan that he's cursed
  64. because He gave him a command
  65. and He gave him a chance after chance after chance to correct himself,
  66. and Satan said: "No, I'm not correcting myself.
  67. I'm not going to bow down to Adam.
  68. I will not take the chances I am his vowed enemy"
  69. That's when Allah casted him out of His mercy.
  70. Therefore, Satan wants you to go with him to hell now.
  71. We seek refuge in Allah
  72. We are Muslims, we're believers,
  73. we have a better mind and heart than that and we can beat Satan at his own game,
  74. the seventh strategy that Satan deploys is to make
  75. you forget the remembrance of Allah SWT
  76. Allah said in the Quran:
  77. (Satan has taken hold of them, causing them to forget the remembrance of Allah)
  78. Satan took complete
  79. hold of some people that they forgot the name of Allah.
  80. They forgot the Dhikr Allah SWT
  81. Look how PBUH puts a shield around us from Satan
  82. You read Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas, 3 times each in the morning
  83. Plus Ayah Kursi, you have a shield right now.
  84. You do that in the evening, after Aser, before Maghrib, you have a shield right now
  85. you say Bismillah before you eat, you have a shield from Satan,
  86. and he will not eat from you.
  87. Before you go to sleep.
  88. You say Bismillah, you have a shield around you, Satan
  89. will not bother you in your sleep.
  90. Constant Dhikr blocks out Satan from you
  91. Satan's number one goal is to make you drop
  92. that remembrance of Allah, so that he can penetrate
  93. and enter your heart and mind through the other strategies.
  94. And that's why Alhamdullilah for the month of Ramadan.
  95. And we should keep it after the month of Ramadan in order
  96. to stay away from Satan and close to Dhikr of Allah
  97. The eighth strategy of Satan is to betray
  98. you and leave you alone when you think he will stand with you.
  99. Allah the Mighty and the Majestic said in the Quran:
  100. (And Satan has always betrayed humanity)
  101. he gives you this delusion
  102. that if you do what he's asking you to do,
  103. if you dare,
  104. you're just dare, because, you know, daring gives you the illusion
  105. that you are strong and powerful, that he will be there for you.
  106. And when you think, okay,
  107. I got people around me, I will be protected, no one can touch me.
  108. Then you go and do the evil they ask you to do,
  109. and then you'll find yourself alone.
  110. One of the most beautiful examples, Sheikh Mohammed Rateb Al-Nablus
  111. gave, is like someone went to the judge
  112. and he put a case against someone else.
  113. So the judge asked him, What's your case?
  114. He said, This person made me jump
  115. and fall into this hole that is full of sewer water
  116. while I was wearing a white suit, going to a wedding.
  117. So the judge asked him, did he push you?
  118. He said, no, he didn't push me.
  119. Did he scare you and
  120. put a knife on your neck and said, if you don't jump, I will kill you?
  121. You said, no, he didn't force me
  122. Did he pushed someone else, who pushed you?
  123. He said No. He said, Then what's your case?
  124. He said, he only asked me to jump into the sewage water and I just jumped.
  125. That is exactly what Allah SWT
  126. says about Satan in The Noble Quran
  127. that Satan gives a Khotba on the day of judgment
  128. in this Khotba, basically he's saying: "I had no power over you
  129. except that I invited you to do what is wrong and Haram and disbelief.
  130. And you listened to me and you did it
  131. so do not blame me and blame yourself.
  132. I cannot help you.
  133. And you cannot help me"
  134. Subhanallah, this is one of the worst strategies of a Shaytan Ar-rajeem
  135. May Allah protect us from that.
  136. The ninth strategy of Satan
  137. is what Allah said in his book:
  138. (And do not let Satan hinder you, ˹for˺ he is certainly your sworn enemy)
  139. Do not let Satan and repel you from faith
  140. and make you resentful towards faith.
  141. If you notice yourself that every time
  142. you want to go to the Mosque, you feel like you don't want to go.
  143. Oh, people are judgmental.
  144. Oh, I can't. This is from Satan!
  145. If you find yourself every time you want to go and hang out with good company
  146. and you want to just like, you know, come back to your religion
  147. No, no, no, no.
  148. They don't like you. You're not one of them.
  149. You don't belong there.
  150. Stay away.
  151. You will feel you are an outcast.
  152. This is from Satan
  153. when you feel yourself, you really want to just sit down and read Quran
  154. and then suddenly you think about 10 things and you know,
  155. you're busy with this and this and that and none of them is important.
  156. This is from Satan, to repel you and make you resentful towards
  157. your own faith, towards your good deeds, towards good people, towards good places.
  158. And when you come to do what is evil,
  159. he makes it beloved, then nice and easy and attractive.
  160. That's the time you say,
  161. I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan
  162. And finally, the 10th strategy of Satan is
  163. he becomes your Qareen
  164. and he recruits you to his party
  165. like a membership in his party were Makoni shaped by Angela who?
  166. (And whoever takes Satan as an associate, what an evil associate they have!)
  167. Allah SWT says that Satan keeps giving you company, company, company.
  168. And then he makes you join the party of Satan
  169. (They are the party of Satan)
  170. The party, the group of Satan
  171. When you find yourself always leaning to hanging out with the wrong crowd,
  172. that's always doing something wrong and hurtful
  173. and harmful to your heart and mind and soul.
  174. Think of this Ayah, and walk out of that
  175. crowd and repent to Allah and ask.
  176. Allah's help and Allah's aid, for Allah
  177. will come to your aid and will answer your heart.
  178. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
  179. This concludes the ways and strategies of Satan
  180. that he deploys to attack you and deviate you
  181. Insha'Allah, tomorrow we will talk about how you can protect yourself effectively
  182. against Satan, Insha'Allah.
