The Truth is Clear | Your Relationship With Allah Ep.13 | Sh. Alauddin ElBakri | Ramadan Series
Shaykh Alauddin ElBakri
2 moments mention “Relationship with Allah”:
- Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
- my dear brothers and sisters welcome back to Tawasaw's Institute Ramadan series for the year 1446
- Praise be to Allah Lord of all worlds, in the last episode we talked about how Allah
- in the verses of fasting said that He wants for us ease not hardship, exposing what Allah
- wants for us, makes the relationship with Allah clear. It's fascinating to me in Surah An-Nisa
- that Allah SWT in verses 26, 27 and 28 each verse Allah tells us what He
- wants for us and I think we don't pay attention to these verses
- in verse number 26 Allah SWT says:
- (It is Allah’s Will to make things clear to you, guide you to the ˹noble˺ ways of those before you,
- and turn to you in mercy. For Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise)
- Allah SWT wants to explain things to you in detail, by the way this verse came
- after the verse of how to choose a spouse, how to get married, who you're allowed to marry, who
- you're not allowed to marry, how we should not have boyfriends and girlfriends
- with open relationship for years but we should get to know and get married and that's
- the honorable way, then Allah says Allah wants to explain things in you. One thing about Islam
- that it's not a mysterious religion, it's clear it's crystal clear and that makes practicing
- this faith easy, you don't have to really figure things out because they're complicated, there's
- so much room for reflection, for depth, for understanding but at the end of the day
- the message is clear and what is demanded of you, what is wanted from you and what is wanted
- for you is clear, Allah SWT says Allah wants to make things clear for you and
- He wants to guide you and He wants to guide you like He guided the nations before you
- and Allah wants to bestow His repentance upon you and Allah the Mighty and the Majestic is all-knowing
- all-wise, this verse really strikes me as very beautiful and clears so many issues for me personally
- how Allah the Mighty and the Majestic set up this religion clear guidance and if you break the law, if you
- make a mistake, commit a sin that there is an open door for repentance and for forgiveness
- It's not the end of the road, it's not a dead end but rather there is a way back
- and a way to recover because Allah does not expect from us that we never make a mistake
- and we never sin but Allah expects from us that we're quick on our feet that we will
- turn and stop what we're doing wrong and turn and stand on our feet. Repentance in Islam is
- one of the most practical issues and teachings of Islam, first stop what you're
- doing wrong, second, intend not to do it again, because if you don't stop, what's the point
- of repenting? You should stop, you repent, you should show Allah some remorse, you should feel bad
- Why did I do that? How in the world did I do that? I should have not done that!
- When you show Allah that remorse and regret and you follow that with the prayers "Please, oh Allah
- forgive me" Oh Allah, please forgive me, the most beautiful prayer
- on the night of Night of Al-Qadr
- "Oh Allah you are a Lord that loves to forgive so forgive me oh Lord of all worlds"
- then the best part about repentance is that you follow a bad deed with a good one, I love
- how Islam invites us to move forward not get stuck in the past, Satan comes to you and makes
- you stuck in the past, how bad? Makes you feel guilty, makes you feel regretful, makes you
- feel stuck and he doesn't want you to go to the next step in which "Okay, I did what's wrong
- now I'm gonna do what is right" Satan will not let you do that, you should tell yourself:
- "If I had energy to do what's wrong, I should have energy to do what is right" and you should
- move from there forward. Now in the next verse, verse number 27, Allah reveals to us
- another thing that He wants for us
- (And it is Allah’s Will to turn to you in grace, but those who follow their desires wish to see you deviate entirely)
- Again, Allah in this verse repeats His want for us
- that we should repent and that the people around us who follow their desires, they want
- us to lean far away from the straight path and from the path of Allah, in this verse, Allah
- exposes one of the obstacles and the enemies of the believers, bad company, do not surround
- yourself with people who are always indulging themselves in fulfilling their desires
- with no limits thinking that that's an achievement, anyone can indulge themselves in fulfilling
- their desires with no responsibility to a point that it will kill them that's not an
- achievement, the one who rises in life even in the financial world is the one who says
- "No" to himself "No" to comfort "No" to laziness "No" to ignorance, "Yes" to hard work, these are
- the people who succeed in life, people who just indulge themselves in comfort and
- in desires they go nowhere in life, and that's why Allah says:
- (And it is Allah’s Will to turn to you in grace)
- and Allah wants to grant His repentance for you so then you have to engage yourself in
- the five steps of repentance, stop what you're doing wrong, intend not to do it again
- show remorse and love, make prayers and follow a bad deed with a good one, Allah SWT
- in this verse warns us of bad company and environment as it will take us far away from the path
- of Allah SWT, in verse number 28, Allah exposes to us and tells us something
- else that He wants for us
- (And it is Allah’s Will to lighten your burdens, for humankind was created weak)
- Allah wants things to be lighter for you, why? Because the human has been created weak
- So look, Allah is acknowledging for you, on your behalf, that you're weak, that you're not
- this ultimate superman, no, you are weak, so Allah wants things to be lighter for you, this
- determines the relationship between us and Allah, do we see Islam as something light
- and make things lighter? Do we see Islam as something beautiful and it makes things more beautiful?
- Do we see it something that gives us energy, that gives us enthusiasm, gives us purpose
- to do good things in life? If you look at your religion and at your faith like that
- your relationship with Allah will be such a joy and such an energy and such a source of synergy
- and happiness and peace Glory be to Allah that we are all looking for. It strikes me that Allah
- says in the Quran, Allah wants things to be "light" for you this word "light" has made it
- to so many languages even in Urdu, in Persian, in Turkish, in so many other languages "Light"
- you know, Glory be to Allah, when you become a practicing believer you feel lighter, you feel lighter
- with the love of Allah, lighter with what Allah wants for you, lighter with no sins
- lighter with good deeds, energetic, floating, flying, soaring, reaching to new levels
- May Allah SWT grant us that energy
- Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
- May God’s blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions
