Enduring With Grace | Your Relationship With Allah Ep.19 | Sh. Alauddin ElBakri | Ramadan Series
Shaykh Alauddin ElBakri
- and welcome back to taas Institute
- Ramadan series for 1446 hij my dear
- brothers and sisters we're about to
- embark on a list that Allah mentioned in
- the Quran a few of us noticed this list
- but it is essential and it sets the tone
- for the rest of your life this list is
- the list in which Allah
- says and Allah loves these type of
- people and in another set verses Allah
- says and Allah does not love those type
- of people it really is very interesting
- it strikes me on a very high level that
- when you have fallen in love with Allah
- subhana wa ta'ala not only you love
- Allah but you love what Allah loves and
- you love what who Allah loves right if
- Allah loved the Salah then we love the
- Salah if he loves fasting we love
- fasting and if Allah loves the righteous
- the good people the charitable people
- then we love them too and Allah in the
- Quran talks to us on a very high level
- because he knows that we have taken this
- journey of Iman from knowing Allah to
- loving Allah to establishing a
- relationship with Allah we call it
- worship to obeying Allah Allah expects
- from us to build the relationship on
- love now all what Allah has to say is I
- love this typ these type of people I
- love this action and we will jump on it
- and for Allah to say I don't love these
- type of people and I don't love these
- actions and we will like run away from
- it this is a very beautiful Dynamic it's
- very high class it's very like moist
- it's very connecting it's really about
- our relationship with Allah subhah wa
- ta'ala which is the topic of this series
- the first type that I want to make
- mention for you
- is the people who
- have sometimes when it said in a
- masculine it means a masculine and
- feminine and in two places in the Quran
- Allah
- specifies the those who practice sa
- amongst men and amongst women what is
- the meaning of the word sa usually it's
- translated to patience and usually the
- word patience is translated to waiting
- for something bad to get away and move
- on that's not what sa is sa if we
- translate it to English it will
- translate to more perseverance endurance
- and that's why it translates into four
- dimensions the First Dimension to
- have to have patience on obeying Allah
- you see again when something good
- happens in life and let's say people are
- praying doing their thing but now they
- became very Rich they drop it they don't
- have sa they lost their consistency they
- lost their persistency they think now
- they don't need it so Allah says the
- first thing that you should have is to
- consistently endure and persevere in
- your obedience to me whether what is
- hitting you is good times or bad times
- you should continue on your journey with
- Allah this should not affect you time
- and events and circumstances should not
- affect your performance you should have
- a steady performance second type of sa
- is to have sa away from Haram whether
- you have going through easy times or
- hard times you're going to be
- consistently away from that which is
- forbidden just having too much money or
- having easy times should not lure you
- and should not attract you to just drop
- this whole Haram and start doing
- whatever you want the third type of sa
- is and those who have over what happened
- to them what happened to them could be
- one of five things the major like if we
- are to theme tests and trial and
- tribulations in the Quran is the lack of
- security loss in health loss in wealth
- loss of loved ones and the stress that
- comes from relationships Allah mentioned
- them in the Quran and mentions that he
- will test us with that again there is
- expectations this world is a world of
- test Allah will test you but he will not
- leave you alone he will test you but he
- will give you the answers that's
- guidance and he will stand with you
- that's help and that's we
- say Ya Allah we we want to worship you
- we commit to worshiping you and we
- commit to asking you for help because we
- need your help so this is how the
- believer lives his life Allah is telling
- us in the
- Quran we will test you with loss of
- security loss of wealth loss of Health
- loss of loved ones and stress in
- relationships but Allah
- says give Glad Tidings to those who have
- sa oh my god get hard times and
- difficult times come with a Glad Tidings
- yes who are these who are these
- consistent and they endure these Hard
- Times those that when a Calamity hits
- them they say to Allah we belong and to
- him we shall return meaning to Allah I
- belong Allah is my we Allah will help me
- in this situation Protect Me Guide Me if
- I go through pain and suffering he will
- reward me he will protect me he will
- guide me he will help me go through
- it I belong to Allah Allah takes care of
- his
- own and when I go back to Allah whatever
- pain and suffering I'm going through he
- will reward me for it this pain and
- suffering is not going anywhere again
- what we said in the earlier nothing goes
- unnoticed unrecorded or unrewarded with
- Allah subhana tala this are the three
- types of to be consistent with his to be
- consistent away from Haram to be
- consistent with your faith and not lose
- your IM when you go through hardship
- that's why we
- mentioned to think positively of Allah
- you keep your faith when you go through
- hard times you don't lose it because
- that's when you need your faith the most
- who runs away on Allah when he needs
- Allah the most I think only a fool will
- do that you run away from Allah when you
- need Allah the most that's the most
- unintelligent thing that one can do and
- that's why that takes us to the fourth
- level of in which Allah subhana tala
- tells us
- that to be patient with Allah subh tala
- to see Allah's big plan if you read the
- story of
- mam you know he's escaped being
- slaughtered as a baby raised in the
- house of the Pharaoh away from his
- parents then he came back back to his
- parents then he discovered that he's an
- Israelite then he killed one of the
- pharaoh's guards then he ran away to
- median then he lived in Medan then he
- came back it is one struggle after
- another yet he had he had patience with
- Allah's plan for him many people when
- they're young they don't have patience
- I'm telling you from experience trust
- Allah Allah will build you day by day
- year by year build your strength he'll
- test you make you stronger test you make
- you stronger 20 years from now you will
- be happy with what you see because you
- stuck yourself with Allah subhanahu wa
- taala so Allah in the Quran tells
- us seek the help of and you're like seek
- the help of patience yes because now you
- understand patience to be performing
- enduring consistent
- persistency perseverance it doesn't mean
- sit down and do nothing sa is an action
- it's a very active action Subhan Allah
- and it goes well as the prophet
- sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- said patience is half of faith and it's
- one of the early commands by the way in
- the Quran if you look at and then one of
- the early
- things Allah
- says and before it
- in one of the early commands that of the
- Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam was
- asked to follow and endure and what a
- good job did he do mashallah May Allah's
- peace and blessings be upon him and may
- Allah grant us patience because Allah
- says Allah is with those who have
- patience give the Glad news and good
- tidings Allah loves and since we are on
- the list of whom Allah loves and he
- mentioned that he loves in his book this
- is our first category it's easier said
- than done but inshallah day by day year
- by year Allah will inspire us to
- practice
