3 moments mention “Ramadan”:

  1. Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
  2. and welcome back to our Ramadan series "As-Sirat al-Mustaqim"
  3. This third station is very crucial and important
  4. as it comes after reciting the word of Allah.
  5. Then going through the process of Tazkiyah
  6. And then now you can get into learning the details of the book.
  7. What happens
  8. if you learn the details of the book before going through the process of Tazkiyah?
  9. You could potentially become a corrupt scholar because you never went
  10. through the Tazkiyah and the Taqwa and the Tarbiyah and the growth.
  11. Now when Allah says:
  12. (Teach them the Book)
  13. and He teaches them the book.
  14. Let's explore something and liberate our imagination
  15. from something that we need liberation from.
  16. If I were sitting down with you right now and I asked you,
  17. do you have the Quran with you?
  18. Is it somewhere? Immediately your mind and imagination
  19. will go to the physical copy of the Quran
  20. Right?
  21. And maybe recently you will think about the copy of the Quran on your phone.
  22. But majority of the Muslims,
  23. when they think of the Quran, they think of that book on the shelf.
  24. When Allah SWT used the word Al-Kitab
  25. Al-Kitab didn't look like today's version of books.
  26. Meaning, believe it or not, the Companions and the Prophet PBUH
  27. did not see the Quran in its current modern
  28. form of two covers and you know, papers like this, stacked,
  29. and you open one after another.
  30. So what did they think of the Quran?
  31. If I walked in the mosque of the Prophet PBUH
  32. I asked the companions, does anyone of you have the Quran with him?
  33. What are they going to think?
  34. They don't have that point of reference.
  35. They're going to think, oh, you mean I memorize
  36. something that you don't memorize that you want me to teach you? Yes.
  37. Remember, my dear brothers and sisters, the Quran, Allah SWT said
  38. in it is the explanation of everything for the human, especially his blind spot.
  39. And that's why when people say: How did Allah
  40. say that in the Quran there is a mention of everything?
  41. I mean, in the Library of Congress, there is over 32
  42. million books written in 470 languages.
  43. But yet you say this Quran has everything in it?
  44. Yes, because if you look at the Quran as a book, then you've failed your own self.
  45. But if you start thinking that the Quran, as Allah said
  46. "Wahi" and "Wahi" is an inspiration.
  47. It is words.
  48. It is something alive and living and giving.
  49. Subhanallah, it is the word of Allah
  50. and it is one of His descriptions, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala
  51. He speaks His word and He utters His word, whenever He wants, however He wants,
  52. and the word of Allah when it comes to us, when you think: Oh! It's the Wahi
  53. that came to Jibril, to Prophet Mohammad, then to me through a chain of narrators.
  54. Now the Quran can have an endless amount
  55. of information, and it depends how you access it.
  56. In the Quran, there's certain topics. One,
  57. Allah SWT talks about Al-Emaniyyat, believing in Allah,
  58. the angels, the books, the messengers, you know, the divine destiny,
  59. the day of judgment, so much. Allah in the Quran speaks about Al-Ibadat,
  60. prayers, fasting, charity, you know
  61. Hajj and Umrah, all of that.
  62. In the Noble Quran, Allah SWT talks about the morals and manners,
  63. which is a big, integral part of Quran. In The Noble Quran,
  64. Allah talks about the laws that should govern the individual
  65. and the family and the community and the society.
  66. These are the laws of Islam. in The Noble Quran, Allah SWT
  67. talks about how to manage our life.
  68. What's our mission in this world?
  69. What is our vision?
  70. What is the strategy?
  71. What does Allah expect from you in the over goal?
  72. That's why Allah calls and the Quran, in the Quran
  73. as The Straight Path because it has all the details
  74. that lead to Allah and lead to that which is most straight
  75. and most bringing you forward in your life.
  76. Subhanallah. Also, in The Noble Quran,
  77. Allah SWT speaks about the stories
  78. of the Prophets and Messengers and the nations that came before us.
  79. It is amazing how Allah SWT
  80. teaches us the laws and the codes
  81. Through stories.
  82. I mean, if you were to translate the Surah of Yusuf PBUH to do's
  83. and don'ts, you will probably come up with over 100 do's and don'ts!
  84. But when Allah put it in a form of a story,
  85. which is an actual true story that happen, it's not history,
  86. it's actual story that happened.
  87. Look at how many ways you can learn just through the stories.
  88. And that's the style of The Noble Quran
  89. My dear brothers and sisters, when you want to learn The Noble Quran,
  90. the system requires is that you have a teacher
  91. and you have the book and the teacher is teaching you the book.
  92. And this Quran reached to us through a chain of narrators.
  93. I mean, Subhanallah
  94. there are millions upon millions of memorizers of the Quran,
  95. but there is memorizing the Quran to recite it,
  96. and then there is understanding the details.
  97. Allah Has said in his book
  98. that He Has given a special understanding of this Quran.
  99. To the scholars of this Ummah "nation"
  100. so that in turn, they could teach it to the public.
  101. Now, Alhamdulillah, that we are in the month of Ramadan.
  102. Did it occur to you what's going on every night?
  103. The Quran was revealed at night, Layat Al-Qadr
  104. and every night you go to the mosque
  105. to hear the Quran and listen to the Quran
  106. from the mouth of the Imam to your ears and to your heart.
  107. This is how every year, every Ramadan,
  108. the Ummah goes back to the chain of narrators,
  109. because they're hearing it from their Imam, and the Imam heard it
  110. from his imam, his Imam, his Imam to the Prophets PBUH
  111. without us knowing who are becoming part of the chain of narrators,
  112. which is something beautiful, at least we are part of the chain of the listeners
  113. and we are connected with Allah SWT and with Prophet Muhammad PBUH
  114. through our Imam who recites in Taraweeh prayer
  115. May Allah accept your recitation, stick yourself to the Quran.
  116. It is the way of Allah, the road of Allah,
  117. the guidance of Allah, the wisdom of Allah, and the mercy of Allah.
  118. All in His book, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. May Allah the Mighty and the Majestic
  119. resurrect us on the day of judgment with the people of the Quran
  120. and make us enter Jannah with the Shafa'a of the Quran amenable.
  121. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen,
  122. and praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds
