Isra & Miraj @ Averroes High School
Shaykh Alauddin ElBakri (unverified)
1 moment mention “Youth”:
- um we're just going to start with uh
- introducing all the the teachers with
- saying a word to the community and then
- we'll pass it along to chef dean so um i
- think i will start with
- anyone who volunteers this is a
- microphone by the way i just found that
- out so you're supposed to hold this and
- talk from it
- all right
- is it good can you hear
- me should i just speak normally
- okay ah somehow
- so i mentioned today in our 10th grade
- class because alhamdulillah we got to
- see our i got to see the tail end of
- what usted siddique was sharing
- and he was sharing this nice video about
- the israel and the mirage and what was
- interesting i was thinking about it
- afterwards reading the room like
- are people into this does it make sense
- and then i was thinking about my own
- personal experience with these kinds of
- stories and i remembered that in my
- travels on my way to becoming muslim
- this was probably one of the first
- stories i was actually told about and i
- remember how disconnected i felt from it
- and i remember sitting there like
- okay yeah yeah stories are great but
- like i'm looking for the ultimate truth
- right now so like
- you know
- um can you give me like how things
- really are because i thought it was just
- a myth i thought it was like you know
- some symbolic maybe
- story so i was like no i just want like
- the real capital truth team like i don't
- know i don't want the stories
- and um
- it took time for me to really
- one really believe the story but then
- have that deeper understanding that
- there's an outward meaning yes that you
- take that yes this literally is what
- happened but then there's lesson upon
- lesson upon lesson to learn from it but
- you have to put in effort and work on
- yourself to start to understand what
- kind of lessons you can get out of it it
- takes time to reflect right so we're
- talking in 10th grade today also about
- why do we need to actually spend time to
- reflect and think about things more
- deeply and take time to question stuff
- so you don't have to just take the story
- and maybe there's a part of you that's
- like did this really happen
- um
- did this really happen
- is this real
- [Music]
- so if we were in a muslim community or a
- muslim country that would have been the
- then
- calling us to god
- but here we're called to this thing
- called time
- interesting
- yeah
- the irony right
- so we're in a society where we're trying
- to remember god and this keeps happening
- and we have to keep putting in the
- effort right so don't give up if the
- stories don't make sense if you feel
- disconnected it's okay
- but keep trying keep putting in the
- effort and inshallah things will make
- more and more sense
- [Music]
- is it does it um
- i i have very little
- little to add that other than to say i
- guess i'm i'm i'm still back where you
- were i also caught part of uh brother
- zadik's class today and i just meant to
- pop in and then i found myself seated
- and then i found myself engaged and then
- i found myself oh no i'm going to run
- late for my own class so i got out of
- there um
- but yeah i just want to say thank you
- for letting me be here and get closer to
- these stories and to the meanings and to
- you all and it's been a pleasure and i
- look forward to it continuing so thank
- you
- anyone need this thing does it do does
- he do anything
- oh okay yeah
- um
- oh okay
- uh islamic so um
- kind of building up on what sister
- danielle mentioned
- um about time i'm i'm going to try to
- not build science into it but i may not
- be able to resist right
- but do understand
- and what comes to mind is the
- environment in which this
- event happened
- the situation the timing
- um
- one of the toughest if not the toughest
- times on the prophet saws and then this
- happened
- so
- that in one is a lesson for us
- you know like when the going gets tough
- the tough get going so to say right
- also uh reminds me
- of allah says that he does not
- burden any soul
- more than they can bear
- right so if tough times come
- they came on the prophet sallam the
- relief is common
- right
- so the one thing and here comes the
- science again it was it was difficult
- for people in those times to
- you know understand that when there were
- no planes flying about there were no
- rockets going to the moon and so on so
- forth
- it makes it slightly easier for us
- and if anybody is interested
- look into
- the space time issues
- time is only one directional for us
- right
- and more and more you learn about
- science and more and more scientists
- learn about it it can happen time is not
- a limit for allah so these are the
- thoughts that come to mind i couldn't
- resist building a little science into it
- so that's it
- one thing i've learned about islam it's
- about service to others service to
- mankind and i'm
- i'm delayed to say that in my class
- eighth in action particularly in the
- last three days the number of light
- bulbs have gone on
- and i see possibility this we're going
- to conclude this year with massive
- service to others and i'm going to be
- helping you in providing lots and lots
- of energy because man we need it
- so i just wanted to say this school is
- about service it's not just about you
- know fractions and compound
- covalent bonds
- it's about service and
- you know rock and roll
- i don't know i'm more of a please tell
- me early let me prepare for
- my speech type of guy
- i'm not one who just you know on the fly
- thinks of things
- is he sub-tweeting
- but uh for me uh
- i don't know if you guys know this but
- the entire year in developing muslims
- we've been pretty much working on
- character
- and so like when you hear these stories
- and
- you learn about the prophet and the way
- that he carried himself and the things
- that he had to endure
- a lot of is about character
- and so we constantly work on that and
- try to get you guys to understand and
- see things that will benefit you and and
- and make your character stronger
- and so i hope that we're accomplishing
- that and you're moving forward and you
- are better than you are when you first
- came to various this year in charlotte
- so
- i'm gonna
- okay
- uh i too
- like to be prepared
- ahead of time
- but i'm doing that
- [Laughter]
- okay
- that was good so but one thing that i
- will say um the idea came to me to share
- the video that i shared today number one
- it was for you but it was for me as well
- uh every time i go back and revisit the
- story there's something new that i i
- take from it so i took something new
- from it today uh i had read narrations
- about uh certain things that the prophet
- alaihis
- saw
- during the
- raj
- his ascension and also on the way back
- and
- one thing that i took away this year was
- the story of the handmaiden of
- the daughter of
- and
- the way that that story i'm trying to
- figure out what was the connection why
- was it mentioned here you guys know the
- story
- um
- the daughter of faraon has a handmaiden
- and she was combing her hair
- and one day the comb fell from her hand
- and she said bispinda to get the call
- and
- the daughter said when you said
- bismillah you met my father right
- and she said no she said i meant the
- lord of my lord and his lord
- and she says well how do you feel about
- this if i tell my father what you said
- and so she uh says
- danny and in words that it's okay and so
- pharaoh informed about what happened
- and so
- he tells her that listen
- if you decide that you have a lord other
- than me
- then i'm going to
- punish you
- by having you throw
- your children into this cauldron
- along with you and so the story goes
- that she's she stayed firm and resolute
- in her belief
- and her children were put in that
- cauldron but she said by the way the
- conditions there's one condition and
- that is that
- you uh
- that you bury me and my daughters my
- children in the same place
- by the way i skipped one important part
- when they were coming back down they
- smelled the fragrance
- uh a very strong fragrance was very very
- beautiful and the prophet peace be upon
- him actually where that was coming from
- and it was coming from uh this the
- handmaid in this this servant
- but anyway she stayed firm and resolved
- and i'm trying to figure out what's the
- connection between that story and the
- story of islam islam and i realized that
- it's coming at a time when the prophet
- allah is really
- undergoing it's right after the year of
- sorrow the year where he loses
- the year where he loses
- he loses his strong support
- the muslims were being boycotted
- so it's a time where
- people are being tried and tested
- and even in that time he stays firm
- and in allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala gives
- him with the khasa they call it
- something
- special or
- a gift that's given to him and that's
- what took place so there's so many
- lessons to learn every year there's
- something new that you get out of it
- this is the first time i realized that
- that story had a connection in terms of
- giving you an example of being firm and
- resolute on your faith and in your
- belief so
- at a time where people's faith and
- belief was being really tested so it's a
- good lesson to learn from them and
- there's so many you could you could
- spend the whole day on those lessons
- my job is to
- test people with resilience
- and
- on the spot so that they can perform
- it's just a joke
- um
- jazakallah for being here we're so so
- excited about these events this is what
- bear was about it's about an opportunity
- to explore beyond the classroom um
- without much more time wasted i want to
- invite shakaladdin to come up and
- enlighten us with some uh some uh
- inspirational talk and uh we'll all join
- in the back inshallah
- thank you what's up
- get you out of the sun find some shade
- brother
- um
- it's not necessarily it might be more
- you see the palm trees
- in the middle we can go amongst the palm
- trees and be like in a circle right
- so um
- the only good speaker is the one who is
- aware of the state of his listeners so i
- we have one of two options um
- is one is we we stay here and i speak
- or we find somewhere
- uh
- under shadow of palm trees
- would it be sitting on the floor on the
- ground on the ground
- so my question is
- if we take a vote of staying here how
- many
- if you take a vote of going there how
- many
- so
- i'm thinking i'm gonna with this son i'm
- gonna have to you know
- anyway half an hour yeah so half an hour
- here or half an hour there
- no i feel i i i i'm both i'm fine both
- ways but i'm thinking i want them to pay
- attention not be like when is this man
- gonna stop talking you
- know so final vote if you want to stay
- here raise your hand
- if you want to leave raise your hand
- okay so bismillah let's get up
- i think
- the movement
- you
- right
- there's plenty of shade there by the way
- plenty of
- shade
- very good
- there over here
- okay
- all right maybe we can all uh
- start with
- um
- oh
- [Music]
- [Music]
- [Music]
- [Music]
- [Music]
- give us a small taste but uh the whole
- uh event of alistar walmart was moving
- from
- the city of mecca to the city of
- jerusalem
- and so there was that movement
- and i don't know if allah wanted to give
- us a small taste of that
- but we were sitting there
- and we had to move here
- so there was a movement from one place
- to another i don't know so maybe this
- was meant to be
- and
- under palm trees
- i feel i'm back in medina
- or in mecca
- uh telling you
- about the story of alistar mirage and it
- wouldn't matter that you were the second
- or third generation after the prophet
- like you could have been the children of
- the sahaba the companions
- the fellows of the prophet sallallahu
- alaihi
- and
- it could have been you could have been
- that it wouldn't matter
- uh if you were not living at the time of
- the prophet you were not living maybe
- one generation later or 15 hundred
- generations later is still the same
- uh so alhamdulillah
- so the story of alice
- is
- very beautiful and very long and very
- detailed and so many lessons that could
- be learned
- and i know like some of you are sitting
- here you're 14 15 16 17 18 19 maybe
- and you're already studying mashallah in
- so
- how could the story relate to you why do
- you need to know about the story well so
- many reasons
- but
- this story has a lot to do
- with
- stress
- and depression
- and the name of the game today in our
- world
- is stress and depression so the united
- nation
- uh has released a report a year ago
- that for the next 50 to 100 years
- the main cause for chronical non-chronic
- diseases
- you know
- chronic and non-chronic diseases is
- actually
- stress and depression heart attack high
- blood pressure high cholesterol
- stroke you name it the stuff that kills
- comes from stress and depression
- and the whole world right now is trying
- things so
- uh there's two trials one is through
- medical medic medication medical drugs
- or through actually what we call the
- holistic approach like how
- do you
- approach this so they started talking
- about spirituality they started talking
- about faith you know to incorporate that
- because that
- thing
- that
- faith helps people in their daily life
- so
- why is this very very very important
- insha allah i think we can be less
- comfortable than completely laying down
- so maybe we can sit down may allah bless
- you
- you can easily uh yes if we can sit down
- that would be fantastic
- so
- if i were to run for you
- just in three minutes
- if you can be patient with me
- three minutes to run for you ten years
- of the life of the prophet sallallahu
- alaihi
- right
- so
- who knows the prophet salallahu sallam
- received the first revelation at what
- age
- huh
- 40 years
- and these are four lunar years which
- means he was 39
- in the solar years because the
- lunar years are shorter so they come
- faster
- so 40 years of lunar years
- he became a prophet sallallahu alaihi
- wasallam and for three years
- he was inviting people who are close to
- him who knows who was the first believer
- khadijah
- and not only khadijah was the first
- believer a woman but she is the first
- one that made wudu and prayers after the
- prophet salallahu learned how to make
- the abolution the wubu the washing
- before prayers and prayers
- he prayed behind jibril alaihissalam and
- then he went home and khadijah was the
- first one to make wudu and salah behind
- the prophet sallallahu alaihi very good
- so he invited people around him who can
- give me another name who believed in the
- early days yes
- was his uncle
- so abu talib actually did not declare
- his shahada but some people said he had
- it in his heart we don't know yes
- abu bakr thank you yes
- ali thank you may allah bless you you
- guys knocked out the first
- boy and the first man wonderful
- ali
- himself who else so we have khadijah abu
- bakr ali
- hamza later on
- and huh
- omar later on
- the boy the adopted son of the prophet
- sallallahu alaihi who for 10 15 years he
- was called zaidab muhammad but then
- allah said call them back to their
- fathers right so these few people so for
- the first three years islam spread to
- around 30 40 people became muslim
- it was private dawa under the cover not
- announced not declared and the people of
- makkah started hearing of it right so
- now after three years the prophet
- sallallahu salaam allah told him stand
- up and declare the message so he stood
- up and declared the message
- what was the message
- what was the
- message what was the message
- yes so
- if you look at me inshallah what was the
- message that the prophet
- stood up and declared at age 43
- to the people of mecca what did he stand
- up and invite them to what
- what is islam stands on one statement
- may allah bless you you see you know the
- answer
- so amazing so he stood up and declared
- for them the message now
- why is this relevant you guys are
- learning you know service and you're
- learning how to stand up and how to
- become you know stewards of this earth
- and the society
- do you think people of mecca had a
- problem with islam because islam invited
- to the worship of one god
- do you know do you think that's why they
- had a problem why did they have a
- problem
- they had a problem because
- it invited for uh it invited people and
- it asked people for a total reformation
- total change
- way of life
- it has to change
- the social
- status so it called for social justice
- it called for
- political justice it called for
- economical justice
- and that's why quraish
- had a problem the tribe of quraish in
- the city of mecca had a problem with the
- prophet sallallahu alaihi not because he
- invited them to worship one god instead
- of many do you want me to tell you why
- that was not the problem i'll tell you
- so much it was not the problem that they
- offered him we will worship your god one
- year and you worship our gods one year
- how about we compromise does that sound
- to you someone that care about their god
- does that sound to you that someone is
- very religious and very firm on their
- faith
- no so what was it
- it wasn't about worship one god or
- multiple god it was about you're asking
- us to change the way we treat our slave
- that us and our slaves are created by
- the same god and that they are actually
- equal to us
- you're asking us to treat women as if
- women are equal to men you're asking us
- to
- stop charging interest that makes the
- rich richer and the poor poorer
- you're asking us to change the way we
- run our elections we are asking us to
- change our way of war affairs we make a
- living out of war you're asking us to
- have peace and the rule of law who wants
- a rule of law we can't even make a
- living like that
- you understand
- you're asking us to stop discrimination
- you're asking us to stop racism you're
- asking us to stop
- everything and change everything so
- quraish realized that the prophet
- sallallahu alaihi islam was not just
- after you know just lets people believe
- and that's it
- people
- you know they they realize that what he
- they realize that he's after something
- bigger same thing with with moses by the
- way the pharaoh realized if i let the
- israelites go and leave
- and there are no more slaves
- to me
- then that's going to create an upheaval
- social change then another group of
- people will say we don't want to be
- slaves and they don't want to believe
- they want to leave then another group of
- people so the pharaoh had a problem even
- with just moses saying can we please
- leave we will leave you alone in egypt
- can we please leave insha allah
- so
- maybe
- some people need to be like uh if you
- find yourself so much
- attracted to talk to the one next to you
- you maybe change your seat and sha allah
- so that you can pay attention
- all right
- so
- that's why the journey of alistar mirage
- was important so after
- three years of private dawah two years
- by the fifth year in mecca
- the prophet sallam told us the
- companions go to abyssinia emigrate
- leave the country
- they're gonna torture you to death and i
- cannot protect you
- leave to abyssinia and they left
- and then two years later it even got
- worse and he said leave to abyssinia
- again so there was probably you can
- count them on your hand the number of
- people who were
- who stayed in mecca do you know what
- leave to abyssinia means these people
- never left their country never left
- their city and some of the people who
- left were rich and from a strong tribe
- and they
- it was the last thing for them to leave
- some of the people that believed in the
- prophets could represent today bill
- gates
- jeff pesos
- tim
- cook larry ellison
- you know
- it represents big names there was only
- group of handful of rich people one of
- them was uthman do you know that uthman
- in the fifth year who's from the tribe
- of beni umayya
- his cousin is abu sufyan number two in
- command after abu talib number two
- personality when abu talib died abu
- sufyan became the leader uthman left to
- abyssinia
- do you understand
- otherwise they would have killed him
- okay seven years now to the mark the
- prophet is 47 years old
- most of the believers left to abyssinia
- the prophet is left with few people do
- you know what quran said okay so the
- muslims left and the weak left because
- we can't torture them anymore so what is
- left who's protecting prophet muhammad
- the muslims are gone
- the only one who's protecting him is his
- own tribe so let's boycott his own tribe
- so three years seven eight and nine
- right or eight nine and ten you can go
- like that
- the most the muslims the few muslims
- that were left and the tribe of bani
- hashem
- where
- something was done to them
- it was siege sanction and embargo
- do you know what that is
- can you tell me what steve sanchez and
- embargo is
- when a country declares seizure in
- another country do you know what's
- happening right now
- what the whole world is doing against
- russia for example
- yeah they're called
- they're putting sanctions
- we're not gonna deal in business with
- you
- we're not gonna buy from you we're not
- gonna sell you and you cannot even buy
- from anyone else
- basically they surrounded them it was a
- siege do you know what the siege is when
- you surround a group of people and they
- cannot go anywhere
- it was a sanction and it was embargo
- three in one
- yes
- [Music]
- that's a different story and that
- happened after the prophet
- but no problem but what you're what
- you're trying to say is people wear
- their back was to the wall see sanction
- and embargo you understand yes
- embargo is
- you cannot trade you cannot
- exchange business
- boycott thank you allah bless you
- understand
- do you understand that
- do you know what muslims and the tribe
- of bani hashem do you know what they
- went through
- they went through hunger to death
- two people died because of hunger one
- was the wife of the prophet khadija two
- was abu talib his uncle do you know that
- i'm going to ask you a question how
- would you feel if your mother died of
- your hunger in front of your own eyes
- how would you feel if your own father
- and mother and brothers and sisters one
- by one started dying because you can't
- eat
- you see guys this didn't happen this
- didn't happen many years ago do you know
- just
- just 10 years ago there was a sanction
- on the country of iraq do you know that
- do you know how many children died
- because of that sanction
- half a million children
- 500 000 that was from 1990 to the year
- 2000
- and it passed on to
- and then it turned into a war after
- sanction do you know why children were
- dying not enough food not enough drink
- and no vaccine do you know why you know
- how they're trying everyone please take
- a vaccine please take a vaccine today
- they used to say i don't know i'm not a
- scientist i don't know how you can make
- this said because we're afraid that
- country is going to make chemical
- weapons out of vaccine i don't know how
- you make chemical weapons out of vaccine
- i think it's not possible but i'm not a
- scientist
- you understand
- anyone of you here is born in the 90s
- anyone is born in the 2000s
- raise your hand between 2000 2010
- okay 2003 we invaded iraq do you know
- for 13 years before we invaded iraq iraq
- was under siege sanction and embargo
- and half a million children died
- you understand
- so what i'm trying to say here is these
- things didn't only happen in the past
- and they never happened again they
- actually keep on happening
- all right
- so now the prophet salallahu who died
- who died that is relevant yes
- you are the right answer now now
- comes his uncle his internal support and
- his external support
- who is left for the prophet sallallahu
- alaihi
- his internal support at home his wife
- is dead
- his external support that's the one who
- stood up between him and all the leaders
- the statesman of his time
- is done
- so internal support and external support
- i'm going to ask you a question
- and you don't have to raise your hand
- how many of you felt that you reached to
- the point where you have you feel no one
- is there for you and no one can help you
- you're just alone
- and you're stuck in your own stress and
- depression alone
- and know what is there for you
- this is a human experience you don't
- have to raise your hand like your back
- is to the wall no one even if they
- wanted to cannot help you
- this is what we call a human experience
- each and every one of you i'm very sure
- have experienced
- high level of stress or high level of
- depression or high level of what
- of confusion do you know what the
- prophet salallahu did he went to another
- city next to the city of mecca but that
- city had an old animosity between it and
- between the people of makkah called the
- city of
- had two three tribes
- the city of had two three tribes very
- big very huge
- it's next and it's on a mountain and
- it's green and they grow grapes and
- apples oh my god it's like the heaven of
- arabia five
- it's like on a high mountains the
- weather is cool and nice and you even
- get cold empires
- very nice weather you got it so
- rasulullah went there what did the
- people of thailand do to the prophet
- when he went and invited them to islam
- after 10 dark years
- huh
- they stoned him they threw stones at him
- until he started bleeding
- do you know
- the prophet sallallahu alaihi sallam sat
- down and made the dua
- that dua triggered so many things one of
- which is
- the night journey and the ascension to
- heaven i want you to listen to this dua
- and i want you to repeat after me allah
- i complain to you
- my weakness the weakness of my strength
- it's what you call oxymoron
- the weakness of my strength my strength
- is weak
- so imagine my weakness
- my strength is weak
- i complain to you the weakness of my
- strength
- and my plans are not working
- whatever i'm planning for 10 years it's
- only been getting worse and worse and
- worse nothing is working
- and how insignificant i am in the eyes
- of the people look what they did for me
- lokia allah what they did in mecca
- three years of sanctions
- they are in control like we couldn't
- even escape we are under siege
- okay repeat after me and tara be
- so what he's saying
- to whom you're leaving me
- to
- someone who is close to me because the
- the people in the city of mecca they're
- all cousins but the cousins makes tribes
- tribes tribes the tribes their fathers
- were brothers so they're all cousins
- basically
- so he said to whom you're leaving me to
- the people of mecca that control my life
- or to the people of taif that stoned me
- look how they attacked me
- you are the lord of the weak
- the disadvantaged the oppressed and you
- are my lord i'm gonna ask you a question
- listen to the words carefully ya allah i
- complain to you the weakness of my
- strength
- and the inefficiency of my plans
- and how insignificant i am in the eyes
- of the people and it does do you see
- the
- guys you are turning from children to
- adults
- and i remember vividly and clearly when
- i turned from a child to a dog you know
- what was the most thing that used to con
- to to frustrate me confusion
- i don't know what do i need to do
- i don't know what's next in my life i
- don't know
- which college should i go to i don't
- know if i even want to go to college
- altogether
- i don't know what job do i want i don't
- know what i want to do next
- and i know that my mom wants me to do
- something and my dad wants me to do
- something and my this wants me to resign
- and i'm confused
- and then very easily you fall into
- depression
- you know what the prophet was saying
- he's saying yeah allah i am making plans
- and my plans are not working
- my strength is weak
- and i am so insignificant in the eyes of
- the people
- this is your story and my story this is
- not only this this is the story of every
- human that will go through these stages
- that will go through these experiences
- if you're not mad at me
- if you're not mad at me i don't mind the
- struggle but i just actually don't even
- know maybe i did something wrong
- what did i do
- ya allah if you're not mad at me i don't
- mind it
- like even the prophet sallallahu alaihi
- we think you guys think that the prophet
- is walking on clouds the whole time yeah
- i know i know they're going to do siege
- and embargo but i am the messenger of
- god it's not going to affect me i'm
- going to be so strong i'm superman
- this is how we imagine prophets and
- messengers are
- you know when
- when allah told moses and the children
- of israel to leave the pharaoh and he
- said go to this point so he went to this
- point and he was surprised
- everyone was surprised in front of them
- is the sea and behind him is the pharaoh
- and his soldiers
- they said we gonna be caught
- what a plan what is what kind of plan is
- this
- you brought us to our death we're going
- to either drown or get slaughtered
- and moses said
- name my lord is with me and he will
- guide me what do i do allah say take
- your staff and hit the ground with it
- you see when you watch these things you
- think they came someone sat down so with
- big white imagination and imagine
- something called magic wand
- the magic one traced itself back to the
- staff of moses just remember
- there's no magic wand the only magic
- wand that existed was the staff of moses
- it could turn into a snake if he throws
- it on the ground it could split the sea
- it could he hit the rock with it
- 12 springs gushed out of one trough one
- rock every spring was for one tribe of
- the israelites there were 12 tribes
- because of the 12 children of israel
- who's jacob
- magic carpet guess who had a magic
- carpet
- speaking animals what did allah tell us
- you think this is someone just imagine
- that oh very big imagination this is all
- narrated generation after generation
- solaman spoke to the birds spoke to the
- ants
- understood the language of the ant
- spoke to the bird long conversation back
- and forth
- spoke to the jinn
- oh the genie of aladdin i can show you
- the world you know
- you understand
- who had the magic carpet sulaiman alayhi
- who had the jimmy not one jimmy the one
- who built the temple most of them were
- of the gin
- it was so significant do you know what
- was the temple built off it was mostly
- glass especially the floor and there was
- running water under the so when the
- queen of sheba of yemen came and she
- walked in allah said she left her skirt
- because she thought she was going to
- step into water she did not realize that
- this is a glass
- who manufactured that the gin not one
- the magic wand is the staff of moses
- there is human beings and finally the
- unicorn
- where did it come from
- and where's the word burak comes from
- bark and what's bark lightning the speed
- of light
- what did the prophet ride from mecca to
- medina something that he could
- understand something the space machine
- looked like a horse
- because that's what he's used to riding
- you give him a car he's not
- you don't even know to get inside or to
- sit outside
- if you've never seen a car how do you
- ride this thing
- you understand
- and you think i'm laughing you go to
- some countries in pakistan in the bus
- there's more people sitting outside the
- bus and then there's people inside the
- bus as a matter of fact it's a
- disadvantage to be inside the bus
- that's where the hut on oh you get the
- view on the top of the bus people are
- fighting to what's on that you know you
- just want to hold very well because when
- the driver hits the brake you're going
- to be in front of the bus the first
- passenger who will land will be you so
- you have to be always holding tight to
- the back of the bus you understand
- so allah gave him something you know
- today it says oh there's a unicorn it
- has to have a
- a one horner and it has to have wings by
- the way in in the narrations that we
- have it didn't have wings and it didn't
- have a horn
- that's just addition
- because how could a horse fly without
- wings
- right so they made they gave the horse
- wings
- that's the addition of human beings
- so
- there's a journey
- today if you tell a person oh i took a
- plane from mecca
- to amman jordan
- which happens all the time do you know
- how long is the flight 45 minutes
- one way
- if the prophet salallahu was today and
- he took a flight from mecca to amman
- jordan or from mecca to jerusalem and
- from jerusalem back to mecca nobody will
- say oh my god did you lose your mind
- because everybody's doing it
- so the first part of the journey
- explained the second part of the journey
- it's getting explained right now
- what's what's the desire of all
- scientists today physicists
- astrophysicists
- time travel
- do you i just wanna
- maybe end with this so maybe then we can
- open a discussion
- guys if i tell you
- if i tell you i went to a place called
- kuala tengano
- and i swam with the turtles you know the
- big leatherback green turtles you know
- human thighs
- and
- we they give us the babies because
- they're still born but there is oil and
- oil spills so they give us and they give
- us like a toothbrush and a special
- cleaning solution and we clean the small
- turtles that just broke out of the egg
- and once we clean we have to send them
- to a specialist and if he says they're
- ready then we release them back into the
- sea i did that
- so i'm going to ask you a question
- do you doubt that i did that do you
- think i'm lying to you
- why do you think i'm not lying to you
- how do you believe the news because you
- believe what
- the source of the news you understand so
- kuala tringano is a state in northern
- malaysia everybody goes there for
- snorkeling you don't even have to do
- scuba diving
- you you when you swim there it's like
- you're swimming in a fish tank every
- fish has a different color
- mind-boggling
- coral reef and you also get to swim with
- the sharks too which i did
- but they're not white tip sharks they
- are black tip sharks so i'm not going to
- claim so much carriage they don't eat
- you they don't do anything to you
- but they look scary
- they look like a shark
- and they circulate you they go like they
- really check you out but their mouth is
- not in the front of their mouth in the
- head it's under
- so they're like feeders like but they're
- like
- two times my size and they circulated
- and circulated and circulated and i
- didn't freak out because of the sharks i
- out because of another fish that
- nobody told me it's gonna come from the
- bottom up it's called barracuda
- as big as a van i swear to allah i
- thought i was going to be
- going to be
- i was going to be swallowed
- you know by the fish because it kept on
- going up and opening its mouth bigger
- and bigger and bigger i've never seen a
- fish that big and i think it's water
- also the effect of light on the water
- maybe it looked two three times bigger
- than its actual size but i'm looking
- down i forgot about the sharks i'm like
- where do i go from here i can't swim i'm
- not going and it's going up and up and
- there is three of them why because how
- they you have to swim under the bridge
- and they throw chicken pieces of chicken
- that's how the sharks come to swim
- around you but they didn't tell me there
- is and i'm like
- you know
- i don't even speak the language
- and they're like barracuda barracuda
- don't worry about it
- i think i'm going to be but a swallowed
- not barracuda you know so it's
- unders unbelievable but do you doubt
- that i told you is a lie
- because you trust the source you
- understand it's very easy for you
- go to your google when you go home and
- just put koala trangano and then you see
- everything i told you it's not a it's
- not a big deal it's everywhere you can
- go tomorrow i actually my dream
- inshallah is to
- take people to trips to these places to
- enjoy
- this unbelievable because it's just like
- a
- you don't think it's possible until you
- see it so in kuala tringano
- i saw three buses full of girls
- stopping on the beach so i'm like
- they're all wearing hijab like you girls
- and they're all wearing like long shirts
- and and i'm like okay
- that's nice that they came to sit on the
- beach three buses i think
- around 150 girls
- all went down and swam like fish because
- they were born in on the island
- with their hijab
- and it was quite a scene because you you
- know you never think that's possible you
- think if you go to the beach to swim
- like basically you just have to take off
- your clothes
- and that's the only option i was really
- shocked and nobody even looked at them
- it's so normal that ladies go down with
- the hijab nobody's even looking i was
- the only one i'm like okay i don't need
- to look right
- because i'm like everybody's like oh
- yeah that's life that's normal yeah
- these muslim girls come from all the
- universities around malaysia and the
- high schools and this is a place where
- they come they camp for three four days
- and they swim and what's the big deal
- wow i didn't think that's even possible
- i'm talking about nikabi's like you
- understand guys
- like some of them were hijab some of
- them were in the cabin they're all
- swimming
- and they just got up and had a towel and
- wrapped themselves and got back into the
- bus and went back to where they came
- from
- so it's really interesting so
- this is called when you trust the
- narrator you trust what he says so i'm
- gonna tell you something to us have you
- seen the day of judgment
- have have you seen heaven or hell it's
- all unseen to us
- now if someone comes to you trusted
- source and says
- i saw heaven and hell
- with my own eyes
- and that source is trusted then
- believing in life after death and
- day of judgment and heaven and hell
- is not even an issue anymore to us it's
- no more believing in the unseen it's
- actually believing in a solid knowledge
- from a solid source like it depends if
- if you think of me as a liar
- none of you will believe but i swear by
- allah i did everything i told you and
- more
- i did parasailing and i you know and i
- did god knows and jumped off the with
- the you know the parachute and million
- things right
- i did more but the idea is
- like you trust the source when you trust
- the source then you trust the story and
- when quraish the prophet do you know
- that the prophet didn't tell quraish
- about the mirage about going up
- ascension in heaven he just told them
- about the first part and they went crazy
- he knew if he told him the second part
- they will actually like totally reject
- him so he just told them the first part
- abu jahl looked at the prophet and he
- said today you look good muhammad
- you look good what happened he said
- yesterday i visited jerusalem and abu
- jahl
- the vows enemies the vowed enemy of the
- prophet said you went to jerusalem yes
- would you say that to the rest of the
- people he said yes i would do. so babu
- jahil ran and invited all the leaders of
- quraish and said listen to what muhammad
- that's it today we're done with this man
- today his message will die
- now they know the prophet saw
- has not been to jerusalem before so when
- he said i went to jerusalem and i came
- back they said then describe for us
- jerusalem
- and the prophet panicked
- because he didn't pay attention when he
- went in the night journey it was all
- night he couldn't see like
- so the prophet salallahu said the image
- of jerusalem came right in front of my
- eyes in the horizon and i started
- describing it to them door by door
- window by window
- they said we stoned but don't believe
- you you just
- learned that image from someone else who
- described it to you he said i'll give
- you another sign there are people when i
- was on my way back there is a tribe that
- is coming
- this tribe
- lost a camel a camel ran away on it and
- when you say a camel that's a wealth
- that's like a ten thousand dollars ran
- away on you right
- and they were chasing it and that the
- description of the camel is such and
- such and this tribe is at such a such
- distance from madi from mecca if if i
- saw them right they're gonna arrive
- after two weeks
- so
- now
- after two weeks a tribe comes exactly
- and they ask them have you lost a camel
- they said yes how did you know they said
- describe the camel for us and they
- described it was exactly how the prophet
- saw described it
- so the first half of the journey was
- from mecca
- to jerusalem
- second part of the journey was from
- jerusalem
- now that second part
- is where the time travel happened okay
- so we are here today right the prophet
- was 1400 years ago we're here today
- right still earth god knows will goes
- through a long time you understand
- and then life on earth will collapse
- because our star is bound to die and
- when our star dies it's going to implode
- and it's going to expand all the way to
- planet earth and our earth will
- vanish
- and then the universe will go into
- becoming a cold place as allah described
- in the quran and the stars will go far
- away as allah described in the quran you
- know what allah said in the quran there
- will come a time that when you look at
- the sky you will see no stars
- the stars will be put off their light
- will be put off do you know what they're
- saying right now
- stars will die and the universe will
- become a cold place and you will look in
- the sky if earth survives and you will
- barely see a star or two
- that's already ayat in the quran 1400
- years ago
- when the light of the stars will put off
- either
- or even
- when the light of the sun will be put
- off like extinguished which is the death
- of our star the sun and when the other
- stars will also disappear and die
- imagine if you were at the time of the
- prophet
- and someone is telling you the sun light
- will die and you would see no more stars
- at night you would have said what kind
- of talk is that
- you understand
- [Music]
- so why is this important because guys we
- don't build our faith anymore so look at
- the time travel
- time travel
- had to happen from 14 years 100 years
- ago
- all the way till life on earth ended
- and they're talking about hundreds of
- millions of years if not billions of
- years and then
- another creation
- which is another
- heavens and earth and then the day of
- judgment and us us resurrected and then
- after the judgment people went to heaven
- or hell and then after that the prophet
- saw the people who are enjoying heaven
- and the people who are in hell he saw it
- with his own eyes
- do you know how much time travel is
- there
- [Music]
- that's trillions of years in the future
- and then after going to the future he
- had to make it back to his time you
- understand
- so the time travel both to the future
- and back to the past already happened
- and at that time there was no physicist
- that was even thinking remotely that
- that's possible there was nobody even
- claiming such a thing people didn't
- think traveling to the future is
- possible but traveling to the past is
- possible and all of that the most that
- we're thinking about that your soul
- keeps on coming back coming back in a
- different body sometimes you come back
- as a human sometimes you come back as a
- cockroach somebody can come back as a
- rat as a snake or you come back as a
- holy person
- until your soul is liberated and you
- don't have to come back again you
- understand with me
- so
- you know i just wanted to again
- talking about this
- i can spend literally to give it it's
- right it needs around six to eight hours
- of deep explanation
- but
- if you ever got depressed in your life
- you need to listen to the story of
- israel
- if you've ever felt confused so confused
- that you don't know what's going on
- you don't know what you're gonna have to
- do next in your life read the story of
- israel if you ever got stressed to the
- point of like you feel you're about to
- snap
- read the story of allah it's a human ex
- story and
- and you know
- you're saying but why should i read it
- is
- happen to the prophet it's not going to
- happen to me no no no
- [Music]
- it can't happen to you
- who can tell me how we can go into
- israel
- [Music]
- [Music]
- ship to mars
- the bird is answering me
- how can you do is
- today you not the prophet
- it doesn't have to be physically
- yeah
- do you know the prophet actually told us
- how to do maharaja
- in a hadith
- three words
- where did the prophet receive that you
- should pray five times a day
- where
- do you know
- yes
- do you know after we meet qiyam and roku
- and sujud then we sit down in the
- position of tashahood
- do you know that position of tashahood
- is like the the
- this the same way the prophet sat down
- in the presence of his lord and we
- muslims don't believe that god is a body
- physical he's beyond he created the
- physics
- he created the physical his men he's
- beyond
- your mind cannot comprehend the idea of
- who god himself is because our mind
- stops when there is no time in space if
- you tell me something has happened
- outside of time and space my brain stops
- this is what
- this is what physicists today are saying
- can we even get it
- is our mind even capable of calculating
- certain physics
- outside the realm of time and space our
- brain cannot even go there
- but we're sure it's part of the equation
- but can we ever think of that equation
- can we ever get our mind to think
- outside the realm of time on space maybe
- we need to teach it to a machine and
- then the machine can do the calculation
- i say to you come to me when sheikh
- come
- in any time and no time what does that
- mean your brain cannot get it shall i
- come yesterday
- i can't come here shall i come today no
- don't come today shall i come tomorrow
- don't come tomorrow come at a time of no
- time
- your brain will stop functioning
- where do i come to you come at a place
- of no place
- how can your brain functions your brain
- stops when you say a place of no place a
- place where there is no space
- and no place
- you understand
- so i'm going to stop here and i'm going
- to see if you have any questions
- did i confuse you did i
- yes
- yes
- he was a muslim
- he was a muslim but he was from benidi
- and he was always trying to
- help and support
- yes
- became muslim in the seventh year
- and upon the news of him becoming a
- muslim and hamza becoming a muslim
- they people from abyssinia some of them
- came back thinking allah became muslim
- but it was only omar and hamza who
- became muslim
- and that made a huge difference in the
- status of the believers
- right
- it was like you know how
- we have george bush
- and donald trump
- imagine george becoming a muslim
- and start defending islam in america
- that's how it is yes
- time
- yes
- sorrow and sadness
- yes the prophet the prophet salallahu
- like low point in terms not of his faith
- but in his reality his reality was a
- very low point
- so god took him on this journey
- and then because for the prophet to
- continue after that for another 13 years
- he had to
- have a a very major experience
- imagine 10 years and things are getting
- worse by the day
- so yes very good question
- i'm going to ask you yes
- how did he
- so there was
- as we say seven skies
- and now they're talking about we have
- time
- wet
- depth height so these are four dimension
- plus seven makes it eleven so they're
- talking about the multi-dimension
- universe so are these seven skies are
- the other seven dimensions we don't know
- we leave it up to god but the idea is
- this guy had action
- huh
- we don't know exactly
- if you were to ask me
- in the first guy he saw adam in the
- second sight he saw john the baptist and
- jesus
- and we know
- jesus jesus was left body and this is
- called time dilation that's what
- einstein's
- theory of relativity it's dumb dilation
- which is time passes to me different
- than to you
- who knows the story of the youth of the
- cave
- how long did they stay in the cave
- yeah but they did not age 300 years
- because they were in a zone of time
- dilation that cl the clock was ticking
- in the cave different than it was taking
- outside the cave
- it's called time dilation it's what all
- what einstein theory of relativity is
- all about
- you can go to youtube and put time
- dilation and watch it
- i will explain to you how that my clock
- that you know
- the higher you go
- the slower the
- so basically your head is aging
- slower than your feet
- yeah that's why you
- no actually slower not higher
- not faster
- they put a clock on the plane and they
- shoot it up and leave another clock on
- the ground the one on the plane ticks
- slower than the one on the earth
- because the faster the speed
- the slower the time
- so everyone has his own time zone
- there's no unified universal time in the
- whole world
- it's not one time
- so on earth we count time by 24 hours
- and minutes what if you go to a planet
- that the planets revolve around itself
- every 48 hours
- every day will be 48 hours so how are
- you going to calculate your age
- how are you going to calculate your time
- the speed and the gravity affects the
- running of time
- yes
- i'm going to ask you a question
- suffer
- [Music]
- so from what we know in like
- thousands of years back people used to
- live longer
- and our age has been getting shorter and
- then now with the advancement of science
- it went longer
- more and more and more
- so we went from longer age to shorter
- age and now we are back getting to a
- longer age
- um yes
- do we want to get back to where we are
- but i don't think that's real
- that's tick tock real
- not real life real
- i met a person that is older than 100
- years that was my grandfather
- was 104 when he passed away
- and he was very very healthy he could
- have lived another 20 years
- but the problem is uh they messed up his
- medication which led to kidney failure
- it wasn't his fault actually was the
- doctor's fault
- but anyway
- i'm gonna ask you a question
- if i go from here to san francisco
- on the back of a horse how long would it
- take me
- from here to san francisco
- on the back of a horse
- on the bridge on the bay bridge
- best four hours you think
- half a day i would say four to six hours
- if i go from here to san francisco
- in a car how long would it take me
- 45 minutes or not if i go from here to
- san francisco
- on a rocket
- huh
- what makes the distance shorter
- what makes that time shorter
- and what is making the speed higher
- that the means of transportation the
- cause of transportation
- if i want to go from here to san
- francisco
- and the means of transportation is allah
- himself how long would it take me
- huh
- no time
- you get the point guys
- how in the world did the prophet go from
- mecca to mid to jerusalem from jerusalem
- to
- beyond our universe
- yes if you're trying to talk about
- even with the journey of
- above the barack is not even there
- it's we don't need the barack anymore
- the animal
- so you guys if i take
- you i went from here to san francisco
- minutes because i was launched with a
- rocket or with one minute then you will
- believe me right
- do you know what the verse that i read
- in the beginning of the surah says
- subhanallah
- glory be to the one to god who took his
- servant muhammad from mecca to jerusalem
- in one night
- so did prophet muhammad said i took the
- transportation
- or what who took him there
- god you understand
- so the faster the means the stronger the
- means of transportation the less
- problematic to understand that the
- journey was faster
- you understand
- so that's why
- and because the sister was talking about
- also
- very as we all when we grew up we heard
- the story of israel and we're like wow
- did that really happen yes but when you
- grow up and you realize who was the
- cause
- because none of you will be surprised if
- i say i went from here to
- l.a in five minutes on the back of a
- rocket none of you will be surprised
- and time travel and space travel
- happened and continues to happen
- do you understand guys that there's
- people in our history
- we cannot prove it but this is what they
- wrote
- they're like in jerusalem they will say
- bismillah
- and they will make the intention that
- they will be in front of the ka'ba they
- take one step and they're in front of
- the kaaba do you understand
- we have stories like that
- in our history
- we cannot prove it scientifically nor we
- have a quran to confirm it but people
- did that
- it's not a big deal for me to believe it
- if allah took his messenger
- someone can do that
- shall we call it today that's it
- inshallah we're done
- any question
- how could the story of israel marriage
- help you if you are going through stress
- huh
- don't give up
- okay how would the story of israel
- marriage
- thank you help you
- if you're going through stress
- how about if you're depressed
- hardship is
- hardship gets rewarded
- what if you feel depressed and confused
- huh
- turn to allah do you know what's your
- problem guys and what's my problem in
- every human problem
- is many times
- we want to be god ourselves
- and you want to figure out everything
- yourself to me i don't care how i figure
- it out if allah can help me figure this
- out i'm very happy
- less pain less suffering so i will just
- have to make dua to allah call upon
- allah
- you always try to carry the load
- yourself i don't know what to do well
- nobody knows what they're doing
- i mean
- at certain point in certain subject each
- one of us is in a way unsmart what do
- you call that stupid
- one of us is stupid in one way or in one
- this you can't figure out everything
- sometimes
- you don't need to even figure that out
- you know what i have learned in life
- sometimes there is a problem
- like you you get so stressed
- about how to solve it
- you're so stressed you're so depressed
- do you know what's the best way to to
- what to do
- do nothing
- and leave it to god do you know i'm so
- surprised i've lived long enough to
- realize sometimes you're like oh my god
- what do i do
- nothing do nothing just leave it alone
- and things will get sorted out by
- themselves
- just combine that do nothing with ya
- allah help me please god help me out
- i'm confused figure it out for me do you
- know what's
- do you know what's
- basically saying god i'm confused
- inspire me to do the right thing do you
- understand god
- you don't have to figure out everything
- yourself
- god can figure it out to you
- i'm going to ask you a question you
- enter a
- a competition you know that cube that
- you have to match it you don't know so
- then they say you can bring a partner
- with you so you find a guy that is very
- smart in this thing
- so this guy says i can help you so you
- enter the competition because you can be
- too and and you you start the
- competition and you
- take the cube and all what you have to
- do is take the cube
- and then some of them can do it in what
- five seconds what's that what's the
- world record
- four seconds
- so 12 seconds
- one cube this thing huh
- six seconds
- okay so i'm going to ask you a question
- which way is better in that competition
- you trying to do it yourself of good to
- someone who knows how to do it
- you understand that's all what you have
- to do in life take your matter and give
- it to allah say you figured it out
- i'm gonna wait here for your decision
- and then you go and live your life happy
- and not trying to figure out everything
- certain things we have to figure them
- out and certain things are already
- figured out for us we already have halal
- haram good bad right wrong
- we have ethics we have rules we have red
- lines we don't cross it we don't steal
- we don't lie we don't cheat we don't
- kill
- we don't hurt people for no reason these
- are already figured out but there are
- certain things like what do i do do i do
- this or do i do that
- ask god and give your matter do you know
- what you know the man who believes in
- musa he's who at the time of moses he
- said he got so stressed out because they
- want to kill moses and he was in the
- house of the pharaoh he was one of the
- pharaoh families he said
- in allah i delegate my matter to allah i
- don't know how to solve this problem let
- god take care of it let god protect
- moses
- i don't know how to figure it out
- yes
- right
- so i have to choose between two things i
- want to go to law school i want to go to
- medical school
- and i go
- and tie my camel i take the law school
- exam i take the medical school exam
- that's my part
- but i'm stressed out which one of the
- two
- so i threw my part and then the one that
- i get
- the past then allah figured it out for
- me
- what if you were
- oh the worst one what if you failed them
- both
- [Laughter]
- you're very optimistic masha'allah
- what do you pass them both
- then you pray again
- one
- something is going to reveal itself to
- you
- you just do your parts
- we
