  1. As-salamu alaykum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh "Peace be upon you"
  2. And welcome to this Ramadan "Tawasaw" series
  3. "As-Sirat Al Mustaqim" Straight Path. The first station
  4. that we will define on this journey with Allah SWT
  5. is to define the purpose. Why we are here?
  6. What's the purpose of our creation?
  7. Allah SWT answers that question very clearly in the Quran
  8. when He said: "I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me"
  9. "I have only created the jinn and the human to worship me"
  10. To worship me was translated by Ibn Abbas May Allah be pleased with him
  11. The cousin of the prophet, the translator of the Quran,
  12. as: "So that they would know me"
  13. So the first stop on this journey, that will determine
  14. the entire direction of this journey, is to know our purpose.
  15. And our purpose is to know Allah
  16. So how do we know Allah?
  17. Look around you, my dear brothers and sisters,
  18. open your eyes and look at the universe around you.
  19. And then close your eyes and look at the universe inside you.
  20. Allah has put around us and inside us signs and clues
  21. that will always point us to Him SWT
  22. This is the beauty of Islam that when Allah asks you to believe,
  23. he asks you to believe based on Shahada, to bear witness
  24. in order to be able to bear witness,
  25. you have to read, you have to search.
  26. You have to look, you have to read the signs,
  27. get the clues, and it will all point you
  28. in one direction, which is Allah SWT
  29. And then based on that, you start your journey and you say,
  30. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah,
  31. and I bear witness that Mohammed is this Prophet and Messenger.
  32. I asked myself a question,
  33. and then I went around and I asked others, What did you see?
  34. What did you bear witness?
  35. What did you witness to that made you,
  36. I see and I bear witness and I testify?
  37. A witness is not only someone who saw something with their eyes,
  38. but maybe they heard it with their ears.
  39. But maybe they were in circumstances
  40. and they are called to the stand of witness to be a witness.
  41. So Allah SWT
  42. invites us in the Quran:
  43. (We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves
  44. until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth)
  45. We will show them our signs
  46. around them and in the horizons and inside themselves
  47. until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.
  48. This journey starts with knowing Allah SWT
  49. and Allah has even gave us
  50. greater details when He sent the prophets and sent with the prophets
  51. books and scriptures
  52. in the final scripture, which is The Noble Quran
  53. Allah SWT told you about Himself clearly
  54. through His names and attributes
  55. and through the actions that He does in His creation.
  56. When was the last time you reviewed the names of Allah?
  57. When was the last time you brought them into your life?
  58. Each name secures a different fear.
  59. Each name brings you whole.
  60. Each name reconciles you from inside.
  61. And it makes, you know Allah SWT
  62. on a whole different level, then Allah SWT, in The Noble Quran
  63. showed you his policies, his ways.
  64. That's why one of the beauties of Islam, is that when you deal with Allah
  65. there is predictability
  66. "If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm"
  67. if you stand with Allah, Allah will stand with you.
  68. What we see, my dear brothers and sisters
  69. of our brothers and sisters in Gaza,
  70. and how under the bombs,
  71. and facing genocide and facing a massacre every, day they keep on
  72. going back to this solid foundation. You want to take from me
  73. my God, you will not take it from me.
  74. Just like you want to take from me my land and my home and my family.
  75. The land Allah owns it.
  76. The Earth and the entire universe is owned by Allah.
  77. I belong to Allah,
  78. my family belongs to Allah, and we will all meet in front of Allah
  79. on the Day of Judgment. That "Iman" Faith and faith enables them to go
  80. through the most horrific experiences right in front of our eyes.
  81. May Allah the Mighty and the Majestic
  82. Stop this massacre and this genocide.
  83. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
  84. Not only in the creation around you,
  85. and not only when you look inside you, you see Allah SWT
  86. and not only when you read His book, you become inspired
  87. and you learn so much about Him, but also through your daily life.
  88. When you make a prayer to Allah and Allah answers your prayer
  89. when you go through some miraculous event like life and death situation,
  90. you know you shouldn't have made it alive from that incident, but yet you made it.
  91. And you can see it's a whole new life was written for you.
  92. Allah has given you just another chance.
  93. You can see through your daily life
  94. how Allah the Mighty and the Majestic communicates with you and brings you back to Him.
  95. Maybe you will wake up.
  96. Maybe you will remember.
  97. Maybe you will become awake and alert and aware.
  98. This is the beauty of this faith.
  99. And this is the beauty of a of Allah SWT
  100. I really recommend you, when you go home
  101. and you sit on your devices that you watch the creation of Allah,
  102. I just realized is that there is more
  103. than 369,000 species of flowers,
  104. more than 17,500 species of butterflies.
  105. Allah the Mighty and the Majestic has created all of this for you.
  106. When someone brings you one flower or brings you, you know, a station
  107. or a cage with butterflies in it, oh, you love them for the rest of your life.
  108. But Subhanallah “Glory be to Allah”
  109. Allah created so many flowers, so many butterflies.
  110. Allah has shown you His signs, His beauty, His strength,
  111. His vastness through this universe.
  112. And it's up to you.
  113. What are you going to do with these signs?
  114. Are you going to follow the signs
  115. after you have seen the truth with your eyes?
  116. Or are you going to look the other way and walk away?
  117. Because God "Allah" knows what are your motives and what's your purpose?
  118. And what illusion and delusional things you built for yourself in this world.
  119. This world is nothing but a station on our journey
  120. and this journey for everyone.
  121. We're all going towards Allah
  122. So let's be ready to meet Allah SWT
  123. especially in this blessed month of Ramadan.
  124. May Allah prepare us in this world
  125. for the next world, to be from the winners
  126. and from those whom Allah loves and they love Allah.
