1. 0:00As-salamu alaykum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh "Peace be upon you"
2. 0:02And welcome to this Ramadan "Tawasaw" series
3. 0:05"As-Sirat Al Mustaqim" Straight Path. The first station
4. 0:08that we will define on this journey with Allah SWT
5. 0:14is to define the purpose. Why we are here?
6. 0:19What's the purpose of our creation?
7. 0:21Allah SWT answers that question very clearly in the Quran
8. 0:26when He said: "I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me"
9. 0:36"I have only created the jinn and the human to worship me"
10. 0:41To worship me was translated by Ibn Abbas May Allah be pleased with him
11. 0:45The cousin of the prophet, the translator of the Quran,
12. 0:48as: "So that they would know me"
13. 0:52So the first stop on this journey, that will determine
14. 0:57the entire direction of this journey, is to know our purpose.
15. 1:03And our purpose is to know Allah
16. 1:06So how do we know Allah?
17. 1:07Look around you, my dear brothers and sisters,
18. 1:11open your eyes and look at the universe around you.
19. 1:15And then close your eyes and look at the universe inside you.
20. 1:20Allah has put around us and inside us signs and clues
21. 1:25that will always point us to Him SWT
22. 1:30This is the beauty of Islam that when Allah asks you to believe,
23. 1:34he asks you to believe based on Shahada, to bear witness
24. 1:39in order to be able to bear witness,
25. 1:42you have to read, you have to search.
26. 1:46You have to look, you have to read the signs,
27. 1:49get the clues, and it will all point you
28. 1:52in one direction, which is Allah SWT
29. 1:56And then based on that, you start your journey and you say,
30. 2:00I bear witness that there is no God but Allah,
31. 2:04and I bear witness that Mohammed is this Prophet and Messenger.
32. 2:07I asked myself a question,
33. 2:09and then I went around and I asked others, What did you see?
34. 2:13What did you bear witness?
35. 2:15What did you witness to that made you,
36. 2:18I see and I bear witness and I testify?
37. 2:21A witness is not only someone who saw something with their eyes,
38. 2:24but maybe they heard it with their ears.
39. 2:26But maybe they were in circumstances
40. 2:28and they are called to the stand of witness to be a witness.
41. 2:32So Allah SWT
42. 2:34invites us in the Quran:
43. 2:36(We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves
44. 2:41until it becomes clear to them that this ˹Quran˺ is the truth)
45. 2:44We will show them our signs
46. 2:46around them and in the horizons and inside themselves
47. 2:51until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.
48. 2:55This journey starts with knowing Allah SWT
49. 3:00and Allah has even gave us
50. 3:03greater details when He sent the prophets and sent with the prophets
51. 3:08books and scriptures
52. 3:11in the final scripture, which is The Noble Quran
53. 3:14Allah SWT told you about Himself clearly
54. 3:18through His names and attributes
55. 3:21and through the actions that He does in His creation.
56. 3:24When was the last time you reviewed the names of Allah?
57. 3:28When was the last time you brought them into your life?
58. 3:31Each name secures a different fear.
59. 3:33Each name brings you whole.
60. 3:36Each name reconciles you from inside.
61. 3:39And it makes, you know Allah SWT
62. 3:42on a whole different level, then Allah SWT, in The Noble Quran
63. 3:47showed you his policies, his ways.
64. 3:50That's why one of the beauties of Islam, is that when you deal with Allah
65. 3:55there is predictability
66. 3:57"If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm"
67. 3:59if you stand with Allah, Allah will stand with you.
68. 4:03What we see, my dear brothers and sisters
69. 4:05of our brothers and sisters in Gaza,
70. 4:08and how under the bombs,
71. 4:11and facing genocide and facing a massacre every, day they keep on
72. 4:17going back to this solid foundation. You want to take from me
73. 4:21my God, you will not take it from me.
74. 4:24Just like you want to take from me my land and my home and my family.
75. 4:29The land Allah owns it.
76. 4:31The Earth and the entire universe is owned by Allah.
77. 4:35I belong to Allah,
78. 4:36my family belongs to Allah, and we will all meet in front of Allah
79. 4:41on the Day of Judgment. That "Iman" Faith and faith enables them to go
80. 4:46through the most horrific experiences right in front of our eyes.
81. 4:51May Allah the Mighty and the Majestic
82. 4:53Stop this massacre and this genocide.
83. 4:55Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
84. 4:57Not only in the creation around you,
85. 4:59and not only when you look inside you, you see Allah SWT
86. 5:04and not only when you read His book, you become inspired
87. 5:08and you learn so much about Him, but also through your daily life.
88. 5:12When you make a prayer to Allah and Allah answers your prayer
89. 5:15when you go through some miraculous event like life and death situation,
90. 5:21you know you shouldn't have made it alive from that incident, but yet you made it.
91. 5:26And you can see it's a whole new life was written for you.
92. 5:30Allah has given you just another chance.
93. 5:32You can see through your daily life
94. 5:35how Allah the Mighty and the Majestic communicates with you and brings you back to Him.
95. 5:39Maybe you will wake up.
96. 5:41Maybe you will remember.
97. 5:43Maybe you will become awake and alert and aware.
98. 5:47This is the beauty of this faith.
99. 5:50And this is the beauty of a of Allah SWT
100. 5:54I really recommend you, when you go home
101. 5:56and you sit on your devices that you watch the creation of Allah,
102. 6:02I just realized is that there is more
103. 6:05than 369,000 species of flowers,
104. 6:10more than 17,500 species of butterflies.
105. 6:14Allah the Mighty and the Majestic has created all of this for you.
106. 6:18When someone brings you one flower or brings you, you know, a station
107. 6:24or a cage with butterflies in it, oh, you love them for the rest of your life.
108. 6:28But Subhanallah “Glory be to Allah”
109. 6:29Allah created so many flowers, so many butterflies.
110. 6:32Allah has shown you His signs, His beauty, His strength,
111. 6:36His vastness through this universe.
112. 6:39And it's up to you.
113. 6:41What are you going to do with these signs?
114. 6:44Are you going to follow the signs
115. 6:47after you have seen the truth with your eyes?
116. 6:49Or are you going to look the other way and walk away?
117. 6:53Because God "Allah" knows what are your motives and what's your purpose?
118. 6:57And what illusion and delusional things you built for yourself in this world.
119. 7:02This world is nothing but a station on our journey
120. 7:06and this journey for everyone.
121. 7:10We're all going towards Allah
122. 7:13So let's be ready to meet Allah SWT
123. 7:16especially in this blessed month of Ramadan.
124. 7:20May Allah prepare us in this world
125. 7:23for the next world, to be from the winners
126. 7:26and from those whom Allah loves and they love Allah.
