  1. Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
  2. and welcome back to Ramadan series with Tawasaw Institute for 1446
  3. Last episode we talked about how Allah SWT
  4. Has created us for a purpose, to know Him, to love Him,
  5. to worship Him and to obey Him and we said we were gonna talk about the love of
  6. Allah SWT, one of the most
  7. beautiful, passionate topics that anyone can talk about. The topic of the love
  8. of Allah SWT in The Noble Quran
  9. is established on two things, two pillars, one of them is way much more important than the other
  10. The first question is, do you love Allah? And the second question, does Allah love you back?
  11. This is a choice that we all have, the love of Allah SWT
  12. is not just a mere emotion
  13. it's not just a once-in-a-lifetime feeling, it is something that you wake up with
  14. and you go to sleep with
  15. It is a choice, it is a realization
  16. After you've looked around in the world and you did your evaluation
  17. Who created me? Who cherishes me? Who sustains me? Who guides me? Who protects me?
  18. Who shows me the way? Who's there for me all the time?
  19. Who is there for me before I even ask? Who knew me before I knew myself? All of this
  20. should trigger something in you, who always answers my prayers?
  21. Who is there for me in this world, in my grave, on the Day of Judgment?
  22. Who created me for a great honor, above and beyond my imagination?
  23. If this does not trigger the love of Allah SWT in you, then what does?
  24. I tell people that if someone brings you a rose, one rose
  25. you know, to work or something, you feel "Oh my God, so much touched!"
  26. especially if there's a relationship, you feel like this person loves you
  27. If they bring a dozen of roses
  28. then they really, really love you. Now, I want to share with you that
  29. on planet Earth, there is over
  30. 386,000 species of flowers, and we're still not falling in love with Allah
  31. On planet Earth, there is over 17,500 species of butterflies
  32. and we're still not falling in love with Allah. The variety of fruits and vegetables
  33. the variety of leaf shapes, the 6,000 stars that we can see with our own eyes at night
  34. that makes the sky at night so beautiful. But now through the James Telescope, you know
  35. the James Webb Telescope, we can see over 2 trillion Galaxies
  36. If that's not going to make you fall in love, then what does?
  37. When you see how Allah SWT has surrounded you with every blessing that you have
  38. right now in your life, including your existence, that you are alive,
  39. that you can think that you are aware, that you know what's going on,
  40. that you know yourself, you know life around you, and you know Allah SWT
  41. If that does not make you fall in love, then what does?
  42. Love in The Noble Quran, it's not just the mere emotions, as I said
  43. it has to be taken from a deeply founded feeling and emotion that comes out of a realization
  44. So it's built on knowledge that then translates into words
  45. that's when we read the Quran, make prayer, make remembrance, remember Allah, all of that
  46. and from that, it turns into action, and from an action, it turns into reaction
  47. like you act good, act good, act good, then in life, things will hit you hard
  48. you react based on that love, knowing that Allah SWT is there for you at all times
  49. This is something that we have to translate
  50. My dear brothers and sisters, Allah describes the believers in the Quran that
  51. (who love Him and are loved by Him)
  52. Allah loves them, and they love Allah back
  53. Allah tells us in the Quran that
  54. (Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him)
  55. They are pleased with Allah, and Allah is pleased with them
  56. It's a two-way relationship, not one-way
  57. Allah SWT has asked us to do things
  58. you know, if we are to look in the month of Ramadan to this whole fasting thing in a different way
  59. you know, when you fall deeply in love, you kind of lose your appetite and you kind of lose sleep too
  60. So you don't eat in the day, nor you sleep at night
  61. Why? Because you are engulfed in this deep feeling of emotions
  62. That's what love does to the human
  63. Isn't it strange that in Ramadan, we don't eat in the day and we barely sleep at night?
  64. Where does that come from?
  65. Maybe you already love Allah SWT and you don't know it
  66. Maybe you really have to look at what you do in a different way and light
  67. When you read His word, in my generation, we used to send letters
  68. you guys now send texts and even texts are no more words
  69. they become the "You" became letter "U" and the I don't know became Idk
  70. and, you know, we used to write long letters
  71. and when someone writes you a letter that you love and this letter is full of love
  72. you read it and you spend the whole night reading it
  73. Isn't it interesting that the whole night of Ramadan, we spend it reading the Quran?
  74. Trying to decipher the meanings in this word and trying to find the love of Allah
  75. SWT in these words
  76. and we can't even go to sleep
  77. Ramadan is a season of total love and devotion
  78. a love that is turned into devotion and into action
  79. that love extends from us loving Allah SWT to us doing good deeds
  80. in the name of Allah
  81. We feed the poor
  82. we help those who are in need
  83. we are there for the one that there is no one there for them
  84. Why? Because we are reflecting God's love into the world and into humanity
  85. and into the universe
  86. My dear brothers and sisters, the word love in the Quran is "Hobb"
  87. and interestingly, Hobb, if you change the diacritics
  88. the other way of reading Hobb is Habb
  89. Hobb and Habb are the same word, just different diacritics
  90. What is the meaning of the word Habb? Seeds
  91. Love in the Quran is like a seed that grows and grows and grows
  92. Allah gave the example of "There is no God but Allah" as a tree
  93. that keeps on growing and giving fruits
  94. "La Ilaha illa Allah" means there is no God but one God
  95. This idea of love and devotion
  96. and I only love You, Allah, the One and alone
  97. I don't love anyone else like I love You ever
  98. You're the only God, so I love You in a special way
  99. there is a special place in my heart that I do not share with anyone else other
  100. than You, Allah
  101. There is another place for Prophet Muhammad PBUH
  102. there's another place for my parents
  103. there's another place for good, righteous people
  104. but the biggest and exclusive place in our hearts is for Allah
  105. we don't share it with anyone else
  106. If we do, we actually end up falling in "Shirk" associating partners with Allah
  107. So love is essential
  108. love is foundational
  109. love goes with "There is no God but Allah" with being a Muslim and a believer
  110. and that's why we turn that love into a way of life, as our Prophet PBUH
  111. showed us
  112. Allah told us in the Quran
  113. (Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me)
  114. and "Me" here means Prophet Muhammad PBUH
  115. Allah will love you and Allah will forgive your sins
  116. My dear brothers and sisters, may Allah the Mighty and the Majestic inspire that light
  117. you know, Imam Al-Ghazali was trying to explain what is "Hidayah" guidance
  118. What happens when someone wakes up one day and feel that they just want God
  119. and faith and they want to do beautiful things and philanthropy work in their life?
  120. What is that?
  121. He said,
  122. It's a light that Allah throws in the heart of the person
  123. Let's pray to Allah SWT to throw that light of love in our hearts because it will give us
  124. endless energy and we will start worshipping Allah
  125. not because we have to, but because we want to
  126. We will move from being pushed towards our faith and towards Allah to being pulled
  127. by the attraction and the gravity of the beauty of Allah SWT
  128. May Allah inspire that to our hearts
  129. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
  130. Wassalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
