  1. in alhamdulillah
  2. Allah for
  3. we thank Allah subhah wa tala as he
  4. should be thanked and we bear witness
  5. that there is no God but one God
  6. Allah and wear witness that Muhammad
  7. sallu alai wasallam is his prophet and
  8. messenger the
  9. final May Allah's peace and blessings
  10. and salutations be upon
  11. him my dear brothers and sisters Subhan
  12. Allah every the beginning of the reminds
  13. us
  14. of and is a word that is comprehensive
  15. and
  16. inclusive of all the
  17. different you know components of Islam
  18. be it the inner Dimension
  19. ofh all the pillars of IM or applying
  20. the pillars of
  21. Islam or staying away from Haram all to
  22. avoid the and the things that Allah has
  23. forbid us starting from to to
  24. to the major sins and all the sins it
  25. also includes in the word tawa the good
  26. morals and manners and fulfilling your
  27. words you want to know the meaning of
  28. the word tawa go to Ayah number
  29. 177 inah bak and you will see the
  30. comprehensive meaning of it Subhan
  31. Allah we are right now in the beginning
  32. of the month
  33. of the month in which the prophet
  34. sallallahu alaih wasallam was born even
  35. though there is different narrations was
  36. it the 12th was it the 19th was it the
  37. 27th but we know it was on a Monday and
  38. most likely from deciphering from the
  39. Muslim historians and the early
  40. Generations it's you know the 12th but
  41. the date is not as important as the
  42. event itself it's with that birth that
  43. Allah subhana T send the final prophet
  44. and Messenger to the world stage
  45. sallallahu alaihi wasallam to make a
  46. fundamental
  47. change the prophet sallallahu alaihi
  48. wasallam was definitely as I said before
  49. he was an anomaly he was not like his
  50. life story and his life accomplishment
  51. and his umah after him was unlike any
  52. other umah before him sallallah alaihi
  53. wasallam truly truly he was unique and
  54. special and every way we know
  55. that and they were military leaders and
  56. S DA andan they were both Kings right
  57. and especially
  58. s these are the only two prophets that
  59. actually LED an army say mus led a
  60. nation right but for someone to be the
  61. leader of the army the leader of the
  62. nation the prophet the messenger the
  63. husband the father and to score a high
  64. success on all friends in all fronts
  65. that's unique
  66. toam to see
  67. 120,000 people attending the final seron
  68. in that is very unique for his um during
  69. the the 30 years for Islam to spread
  70. after his death sallallahu alaihi
  71. wasallam after after his death more than
  72. it spread in his life that's unique to
  73. the umah of the Prophet sallallahu
  74. alaihi wasallam when we read the stories
  75. of the prophets and Messengers most of
  76. them had few followers and the followers
  77. could not take it to the next level even
  78. we read in the story of Sanam after his
  79. death his kingdom plunged and the
  80. Israelites split into two 10 tribes in
  81. the north that were completely anti High
  82. religious and two tribes in the South
  83. that were attached to the city of
  84. Jerusalem and that's quickly after the
  85. death of
  86. s for the um of the Prophet sallallahu
  87. alaihi wasallam to survive after that
  88. for 1300 years moving from one Dynasty
  89. to another that kept the religion
  90. standing up that preserved the dean from
  91. the preservation of the Quran to the
  92. preservation of the Arabic language
  93. starting with the
  94. the Quran started being preserved in
  95. written format in the of
  96. abak started ordered AB to preserve the
  97. grammar the Arabic grammar then to
  98. preserving the because Islam spread so
  99. fast that there was so many questions
  100. that the um had to produce Under
  101. Pressure like Al IM
  102. abif who was a student of IM
  103. to the IM of Malik in
  104. IM IM Malik to IM who had the old maab
  105. in Iraq and the new mhab in Egypt to IM
  106. Ahmed that settled in Damascus and
  107. before that he was in Bagdad these they
  108. had to answer the huge amount of
  109. questions that were asked because Islam
  110. spread so fast and very so many new
  111. situations where where they presented
  112. themselves and the musl Muslim um had to
  113. graduate a scholar under pressure and
  114. these four imams are just out of when
  115. you study out of 18 imams at that time
  116. that were some of them the teachers of
  117. those imams but their M did not spread
  118. because their students did not carry the
  119. maab the way these four M carried and
  120. the final maab IM Ahmed he did not even
  121. think of himself as a fak he started the
  122. movement you know officially because
  123. before him imami has documented the
  124. Hadith but he officially started the
  125. movement of um registering the Hadith
  126. and of his students was IM alkari and
  127. then the movement of Hadith came and
  128. they preserved the Hadith from
  129. theid to the um Dynasty to the abbaside
  130. dynasty to the mamluks in Egypt to the
  131. Ottomans for 1300 years Islam stood
  132. strong on Quran and Sunnah preserve the
  133. dean preserve the mainstream of Islam
  134. there is an anomaly to this umah no
  135. other um before the prophet sallallahu
  136. alaihi wasallam was able to accomplish
  137. what this umah has accomplished we are
  138. in the year
  139. 2024 and it was only in the
  140. 1924 100 years to the dot that the
  141. Ottoman Empire collapsed and you and I
  142. were born in a new reality new situation
  143. that that even needs a whole new and a
  144. new whole new generation of that can
  145. help us to navigate these new Waters
  146. that we are you know in where there is
  147. no Khalifa no muslim um United and in
  148. front of your eyes and in my eyes we are
  149. seeing how we are paying the price
  150. because there is no umah this is what
  151. you and I are witnessing today is not
  152. the normal for, 1300 years this was not
  153. this is unique this is different this is
  154. you know and now we're going back for
  155. the first time Islam is chased and in
  156. every corner like it was chased in mekah
  157. aluk like the prophets before Muhammad
  158. s like before him like how they were
  159. chased the followers
  160. of all of the sudden the Muslim umah is
  161. in a new reality going back to the days
  162. of mecah and some of the days of Medina
  163. where they are under sanction Siege
  164. embargo attack in every possible way the
  165. goal is to wipe out this umah from
  166. history make no mistake about it that
  167. there's some people when they sit down
  168. they are bitting that the 1300 years
  169. will end you know very quickly and this
  170. umah will be wiped out the depth of the
  171. Muslim umah is being attacked Iraq Egypt
  172. philistine this is the depth of the
  173. Muslim umah this is the heart of the
  174. Muslim umah that has been preserved all
  175. the way till 1924 now no longer the
  176. British came and took festine and
  177. imagine imagine the audacity before they
  178. take festine before they won the first
  179. World War already in 1917 they promised
  180. Palestine to the Zionist movement not to
  181. the Jewish people to few people the
  182. Zionist movement before this 1917 the
  183. first world war is not done yet it got
  184. done in
  185. 1918 imagine the audacity and the Heart
  186. of the Muslim um has been ripped I still
  187. remember in the uh lectures of she Ahmed
  188. deat he has he said I have a an advice a
  189. for the Jewish people you are in the
  190. heart of the Muslim um imagine the whole
  191. body is one thing and the heart when you
  192. put a new plant you know planted art new
  193. transplant in the art the body will
  194. reject it that's why they have to give
  195. so much medicine to suppress the body
  196. whether it's a kidney transplant or a
  197. heart transplant so he said I advise you
  198. that you become like the rest of the
  199. body accept Islam for Islam will bring
  200. you back to true Judaism and true
  201. Christianity right because the heart is
  202. on a whole different level it's like a
  203. foreign heart in a in a certain body so
  204. my dear brothers and sisters this at
  205. this moment in history that we are in
  206. Demands a reflection from your side
  207. demands that you say okay let's imagine
  208. we are at the time of the prophet
  209. sallallahu alaih wasallam in Mecca
  210. number one I have to preserve my own
  211. Dean and
  212. IM there's no avoidance to the three
  213. steps that Allah put for us in this Dean
  214. number one to seek knowledge don't be
  215. ignorant about your faith everyone
  216. around you is now is asking you about
  217. Islam don't don't make your answer oh I
  218. don't know Islam I'm not the I'm going
  219. to ask the she I'm going to give you the
  220. number Islam is your religion as much is
  221. is the Sheik's religion seek knowledge
  222. number one but seeking knowledge without
  223. turning it into step number two and
  224. three is also not good which is Allah
  225. said that seeking of knowledge has to go
  226. in an internal Dimension it has to
  227. change you inside out and it has to be
  228. explicit on the external dimension in
  229. your words and actions this is what you
  230. have to do you have to save yourself
  231. from Hellfire but Allah said in the
  232. Quran and save your family spouse and
  233. children and in the last I brought the
  234. issue of the relationship between
  235. parents and children and I shared with
  236. you ayat from the Quran and I showed you
  237. how the approach of the Quran to the
  238. relationship between parents and
  239. children is very deep
  240. sophisticated and unbelievable not the
  241. way we say it but that if you trace how
  242. Allah subhana wa tala through the words
  243. of the Quran taught us how to deal with
  244. our parents it's a whole new demographic
  245. why because my dear brothers and sisters
  246. at this point when there is no Khalifa
  247. and there is no official Muslim um
  248. the only way we can maintain ourselves
  249. is through a strong Muslim individual
  250. that builds a strong Muslim family that
  251. builds a strong Muslim Community a
  252. strong Muslim Community will be will not
  253. be made of weak families and a weak and
  254. a family will not be strong from weak
  255. individuals so the individuals in the
  256. family have to be strong and as much as
  257. we like to put the blame and the focus
  258. on our children I say to you
  259. what Allah put the responsibility on the
  260. shoulders of us the parents not the
  261. children what Allah is asking from your
  262. child towards you he's asking of you
  263. towards your own parents I know many of
  264. us have hit their 40s and 50s but then
  265. many of us still our parents are alive
  266. are you practicing with your parents
  267. what you want your children to practice
  268. with you are you tracing the words of
  269. the Quran the last I shared with you how
  270. the Quran approaches the relationship
  271. between parents by asking the father to
  272. do the same with his parents the
  273. grandparents that he's asking his child
  274. to practice with him and the
  275. sophistication of the Quran that Allah
  276. used words
  277. like and we explain the the meaning of
  278. the
  279. word and we explained that and Allah
  280. told us
  281. be thankful to me and to your parents
  282. another D damic that we explained in the
  283. last that Allah asked of
  284. us befriend your parents and we said
  285. it's not a friendship of equals but it's
  286. a friendship of a parent with their
  287. children whether you are the mom or dad
  288. that when Allah said in the
  289. Quran speak to them in a generous
  290. honorable way when Allah in the Quran
  291. expects us
  292. that our parents will grow older in at
  293. our
  294. homes that when your parents reach of
  295. old age with you with you now if your
  296. parents don't want to live with you
  297. that's their choice you cannot force
  298. them but if they want to live with you I
  299. tell many of the marriage counseling
  300. that I do it's because of parents-in-law
  301. I tell the man husband and wife parents
  302. are off limits
  303. but
  304. she his father and mother are very
  305. difficult I understand nobody's saying
  306. the parents the parents-in-law sometimes
  307. are easy but now your job the wife and
  308. the husband whether the one who's
  309. difficult are the parents of the wife or
  310. the one who difficult are the parents of
  311. the husband the husband and wife have to
  312. come together as a team and work
  313. together with the difficult parents not
  314. work against each other if your parent
  315. is difficult you don't need to deny it
  316. you can say my parent is difficult but
  317. Allah commanded us to be good to our
  318. parents so you and I will work with my
  319. difficult parents I will not work
  320. against you I will work with you this is
  321. our test in life sometimes your test in
  322. life is a difficult parent or a
  323. difficult parent-in-law you cannot
  324. choose your test you cannot say oh
  325. because they are difficult I don't want
  326. them in my house parents are off limit
  327. between in the problems between husband
  328. and wife parents are always welcomed in
  329. your house not only to visit but to live
  330. with you where do I get that from from
  331. the
  332. Quran when they reach one of them or
  333. both of them of old age at your house
  334. there is an expectation
  335. there alhamdulillah we live in a
  336. different country and most of the time
  337. our parents are not living with us
  338. though we wish that they were living
  339. with us but if they are difficult that
  340. is your test in life now as a husband
  341. and wife you need to come together and
  342. figure out how to deal with that
  343. difficult parent you become a team not
  344. enemies my dear brothers sisters Allah
  345. expects us in the
  346. Quran humiliate yourself with your
  347. parents lower the wing of humility and
  348. humbleness it's okay you can be Arrogant
  349. with anyone else which anyway arrogance
  350. has zero tolerance in Islam for
  351. arrogance but with parents is completely
  352. unacceptable humility and mercy my dear
  353. brothers and sisters these words each
  354. word of them is a lecture 45 minutes
  355. with aat from the Quran what today I
  356. wanted to close the circle when what did
  357. Allah tell us not to do with our parents
  358. when Allah
  359. said do not scream and raise your voice
  360. with your
  361. parents this is what our problem with
  362. what's so-called teenager which we said
  363. there is nothing called teenager in
  364. Islam there's a child or an adult but
  365. with young adults is that they are what
  366. that they raise their voice well my dear
  367. brothers and sisters try to you as a
  368. parent when you talk to them not to
  369. raise your voice so that they don't
  370. raise their
  371. voice my dear brothers and sisters Allah
  372. told taught us through the example of
  373. prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
  374. wasallam Ann Malik who was the servant
  375. of for 10 years gave us an example that
  376. puts like at the top and he's always at
  377. the top he's always ahead of us that's
  378. why he's our role model he said I served
  379. the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
  380. 10 years never did he tell me for
  381. something that I did why did you do that
  382. and never did he tell me for something
  383. that I didn't do that I was supposed not
  384. to do why you didn't do that so both
  385. ways he never why because wasallam
  386. understands as a master that that
  387. doesn't work why did you do that okay
  388. where is the lesson instead of doing
  389. that tell him what to do you should have
  390. done this and this why did you do that
  391. breaks the relationship anger argument
  392. feeling L down feeling intimidated but
  393. you should have done that it's the
  394. positive now most of us cannot do that
  395. but you you can start the training you
  396. can start the Journey of change why
  397. didn't you do what I told you to do you
  398. can say it in a different way can you do
  399. what I ask you to do it's the same
  400. statement one in the positive one in the
  401. negative wasallam Malik said he never
  402. screamed at me nor he gave me that
  403. feeling that he hates me that's why he's
  404. our role model I know we're not there I
  405. know you're saying well I'm not like
  406. that that's why alhi wasall is your
  407. model imagine my dear brothers and
  408. sisters died as a Allah did not mention
  409. that in the Quran but Allah mentioned
  410. that he was good to his parents and he
  411. did not give his parents a hard
  412. time he was good to his parents he
  413. applied but and he was not ja rebellious
  414. hard to deal with and disobedient again
  415. and again and again and that's a hint
  416. for us that if your child disobeys you
  417. once or twice it's okay once a week or
  418. this you work around it but if your
  419. child is obeying you disobeying you once
  420. in a while and your statement to them
  421. you always don't listen to me now you
  422. have destroyed your child he doesn't
  423. listen to you one out of 10 can you
  424. acknowledge the nine just like you're
  425. acknowledging number
  426. 10 you don't make a rebellious don't say
  427. to your child you're disobedient you're
  428. bad you're a loser you're not good all
  429. of that will not get him anywhere use
  430. the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu
  431. alaihi wasallam use the Quran look how
  432. Allah speaks about yah in a empowerment
  433. sense oh take the book with strength can
  434. we talk to our children like that take
  435. the Quran with strength instead of
  436. you're not a good Muslim you don't pray
  437. you don't fast you don't do this well if
  438. your child is by now 18 and you haven't
  439. trained him since he was a child I don't
  440. know to blame the child or to blame the
  441. parent but at least say mashallah you
  442. have it in you you are a good person
  443. you're a good Muslim you're strong you
  444. can do this again the language of the
  445. Quran is on the
  446. positive we give him wisd wisdom and
  447. judgment as a young person
  448. was good to his parents he was
  449. not speaking as an infanta who faced Cru
  450. crucifixion and Allah saved him from
  451. crucifixion what does he say in his as
  452. an
  453. infant my dear brothers and sisters is
  454. you know that when when the person does
  455. wrong again and again and again and
  456. again how did your child reach to that
  457. let's reverse and let's start it's never
  458. too late many of the parents feel
  459. embarrassed they know they did wrong
  460. they know they didn't raise their
  461. children well so what's their uh coping
  462. mechanism to run away not talk to the
  463. child no sit down with your child and
  464. say listen you were my firstborn son I
  465. didn't have children and I you know you
  466. are the experiment you are the we
  467. experimented with you and then we
  468. applied the rest on your children joke
  469. about it you know whatever I did wrong
  470. as a parent Allah does not we don't
  471. condone what is wrong oh because I'm a
  472. parent I can do what is wrong and I can
  473. get with it and you have to accept it
  474. wrong is wrong right is right sit down
  475. with your child have a conversation it's
  476. never too late even if he's 28 years old
  477. he's never too late you will make them
  478. whole and complete maybe your child has
  479. been crying his whole life to hear a
  480. good word from you to to tell him that
  481. you are out of him to go back to the
  482. Quran and Sunnah style which is
  483. emphasizing that which is positive my
  484. dear brothers and sisters the language
  485. of the Quran is very beautiful Allah
  486. taught us what not to do as well as he
  487. taught us what to do with the parents
  488. the Dynamics are sophisticated deep
  489. complicated and it's not as simple as we
  490. like to do it relationship between
  491. parents and children is not relationship
  492. between master and slave it's not just
  493. listen to me and that's it no it's a
  494. it's a relationship it's a relationship
  495. yet the parents have their respect the
  496. children have their should be treated
  497. with love and care and mercy but that
  498. will save our families if we save our
  499. families we will be strong Community if
  500. we're strong Community then we will be
  501. able to survive under pressure like the
  502. people of Gazza has been surviving under
  503. pressure my comment has been for the
  504. last three watch the movies the one
  505. minute clips that come from Gaza the
  506. amount of attachment between the parents
  507. and the children is
  508. unreal you find a 50 years old crying
  509. over his father because he passed
  510. away like a five years old the five and
  511. the 15 and the 25 and the 35 and the 55
  512. they all have a strong relationship with
  513. their parents and their kids have a
  514. strong relationship with them can we
  515. learn something from that because
  516. definitely we're not facing their EX
  517. exam and tests definitely we're not
  518. facing their trial and tribulation and
  519. it's getting worse by the day in
