of the Quran taught us how to deal with
our parents it's a whole new demographic
why because my dear brothers and sisters
at this point when there is no Khalifa
and there is no official Muslim um
the only way we can maintain ourselves
is through a strong Muslim individual
that builds a strong Muslim family that
builds a strong Muslim Community a
strong Muslim Community will be will not
be made of weak families and a weak and
a family will not be strong from weak
individuals so the individuals in the
family have to be strong and as much as
we like to put the blame and the focus
on our children I say to you
what Allah put the responsibility on the
shoulders of us the parents not the
children what Allah is asking from your
child towards you he's asking of you
towards your own parents I know many of
us have hit their 40s and 50s but then
many of us still our parents are alive
are you practicing with your parents
what you want your children to practice
with you are you tracing the words of
the Quran the last I shared with you how
the Quran approaches the relationship
between parents by asking the father to
do the same with his parents the
grandparents that he's asking his child
to practice with him and the
sophistication of the Quran that Allah
used words

parents don't want to live with you
that's their choice you cannot force
them but if they want to live with you I

that I do it's because of parents-in-law
I tell the man husband and wife parents
are off limits
but
she his father and mother are very
difficult I understand nobody's saying
the parents the parents-in-law sometimes
are easy but now your job the wife and
the husband whether the one who's
difficult are the parents of the wife or
the one who difficult are the parents of
the husband the husband and wife have to
come together as a team and work
together with the difficult parents not
work against each other if your parent
is difficult you don't need to deny it
you can say my parent is difficult but
Allah commanded us to be good to our
parents so you and I will work with my
difficult parents I will not work
against you I will work with you this is
our test in life sometimes your test in
life is a difficult parent or a
difficult parent-in-law you cannot
choose your test you cannot say oh
because they are difficult I don't want
them in my house parents are off limit
between in the problems between husband
and wife parents are always welcomed in
your house not only to visit but to live
with you where do I get that from from
the
Quran when they reach one of them or
both of them of old age at your house
there is an expectation
there alhamdulillah we live in a
different country and most of the time
our parents are not living with us
though we wish that they were living
with us but if they are difficult that
is your test in life now as a husband
and wife you need to come together and
figure out how to deal with that
difficult parent you become a team not
enemies my dear brothers sisters Allah
expects us in the
Quran humiliate yourself with your
parents lower the wing of humility and
humbleness it's okay you can be Arrogant
with anyone else which anyway arrogance
has zero tolerance in Islam for
arrogance but with parents is completely
unacceptable humility and mercy my dear
brothers and sisters these words each
word of them is a lecture 45 minutes

Allah tell us not to do with our parents
when Allah
said do not scream and raise your voice
with your
parents this is what our problem with
what's so-called teenager which we said
there is nothing called teenager in

with young adults is that they are what

parent when you talk to them not to
raise your voice so that they don't
raise their

prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi

the top he's always ahead of us that's

something that I did why did you do that
and never did he tell me for something
that I didn't do that I was supposed not
to do why you didn't do that so both

positive now most of us cannot do that

didn't you do what I told you to do you
can say it in a different way can you do
what I ask you to do it's the same
statement one in the positive one in the

feeling that he hates me that's why he's
our role model I know we're not there I
know you're saying well I'm not like
that that's why alhi wasall is your
model imagine my dear brothers and
sisters died as a Allah did not mention
that in the Quran but Allah mentioned
that he was good to his parents and he
did not give his parents a hard
time he was good to his parents he
applied but and he was not ja rebellious
hard to deal with and disobedient again
and again and again and that's a hint
for us that if your child disobeys you
once or twice it's okay once a week or
this you work around it but if your
child is obeying you disobeying you once
in a while and your statement to them
you always don't listen to me now you
have destroyed your child he doesn't
listen to you one out of 10 can you
acknowledge the nine just like you're
acknowledging number
10 you don't make a rebellious don't say
to your child you're disobedient you're
bad you're a loser you're not good all
of that will not get him anywhere use
the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam use the Quran look how
Allah speaks about yah in a empowerment
sense oh take the book with strength can
we talk to our children like that take
the Quran with strength instead of
you're not a good Muslim you don't pray
you don't fast you don't do this well if
your child is by now 18 and you haven't
trained him since he was a child I don't
know to blame the child or to blame the
parent but at least say mashallah you
have it in you you are a good person
you're a good Muslim you're strong you
can do this again the language of the
Quran is on the
positive we give him wisd wisdom and
judgment as a young person
was good to his parents he was
not speaking as an infanta who faced Cru

crucifixion what does he say in his as

infant my dear brothers and sisters is
you know that when when the person does
wrong again and again and again and
again how did your child reach to that
let's reverse and let's start it's never
too late many of the parents feel
embarrassed they know they did wrong
they know they didn't raise their
children well so what's their uh coping
mechanism to run away not talk to the
child no sit down with your child and
say listen you were my firstborn son I
didn't have children and I you know you
are the experiment you are the we
experimented with you and then we
applied the rest on your children joke
about it you know whatever I did wrong
as a parent Allah does not we don't
condone what is wrong oh because I'm a
parent I can do what is wrong and I can
get with it and you have to accept it
wrong is wrong right is right sit down
with your child have a conversation it's
never too late even if he's 28 years old
he's never too late you will make them
whole and complete maybe your child has
been crying his whole life to hear a
good word from you to to tell him that
you are out of him to go back to the
Quran and Sunnah style which is
emphasizing that which is positive my
dear brothers and sisters the language
of the Quran is very beautiful Allah
taught us what not to do as well as he
taught us what to do with the parents
the Dynamics are sophisticated deep
complicated and it's not as simple as we
like to do it relationship between
parents and children is not relationship
between master and slave it's not just
listen to me and that's it no it's a
it's a relationship it's a relationship
yet the parents have their respect the
children have their should be treated
with love and care and mercy but that
will save our families if we save our
families we will be strong Community if
we're strong Community then we will be
able to survive under pressure like the
people of Gazza has been surviving under
pressure my comment has been for the
last three watch the movies the one
minute clips that come from Gaza the
amount of attachment between the parents
and the children is
unreal you find a 50 years old crying
over his father because he passed
away like a five years old the five and
the 15 and the 25 and the 35 and the 55
they all have a strong relationship with
their parents and their kids have a
strong relationship with them can we
learn something from that because
definitely we're not facing their EX
exam and tests definitely we're not
facing their trial and tribulation and
it's getting worse by the day in
Northern Gaza because of the uh uh
starvation and don't let people if ask
the Islamic organizations if they tell
you that they are able to pass the
support to our brother Gaza don't say no

organizations that work every day

don't let the media they're playing on
