  1. Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
  2. Welcome back to Tawasaw Institute Ramadan series for 1446, your relationship with Allah SWT
  3. Now in the last episode we explained how do people react
  4. when hardship hits them after ease. There is another incident that happens in life very
  5. frequently and it throws off the relationship between the person and Allah SWT
  6. It's the opposite, it's when good times happen after hard times. The interpretation of the human
  7. for that is when goodness hits you and you bounce back, the first thing is "Withholding" you want it only
  8. for yourself, you don't want to share it with others. But the other reaction of the human
  9. is that the human feels that this is specifically for me, "I am so great, I am so close to Allah
  10. that God gave me all of these blessings" (Ungrateful) and (Boastful)
  11. Allah SWT says that the human will become
  12. (Prideful and boastful)
  13. which means "Farih" is when you become so indulged and insatuated
  14. with the blessings that you are showing it off, that you don't care about the feelings around you
  15. of the people around you, that you don't see maybe they don't have what you have, you're just
  16. living it, ignoring the rest of the world and on the top of it, you're boasting and you may be
  17. boasting in front of someone who's in a dire need. That's not nice, that's not kind, that's not
  18. passionate, that's not human and ethical, and Allah SWT wants a different reaction
  19. from us but the human, his reaction and his interpretation is
  20. (They boast, "My Lord has honoured me!")
  21. My Lord has personally chosen me for His blessings. I am chosen, I am better, I am successful and they'll
  22. rub it in your face and they won't even feel shy and you're like "Oh my God why this person is
  23. talking like that?" It's not like you are the only successful person in this world, there's so many
  24. other people that's successful and more successful than you. So humble yourself down and have some
  25. humility with other people. My dear brothers and sisters Allah tells us that when the human is hit
  26. with hardship he makes so much prayer but when the hardship is gone he walks by as if he never called
  27. Allah, as never begged Allah on his knees and on his face. He walks out like he has been the
  28. greatest man or woman that ever lived. Allah SWT does not like that, Allah
  29. mentions in the Quran that the person actually forgets
  30. (They ˹totally˺ forget the One they had cried to earlier, and set up equals to Allah)
  31. He forgot that he used to pray to Allah SWT and he made for Allah equals and partners
  32. This happened also in The Noble Quran when people, Allah mentions when people are on the
  33. ship and then the tornado comes, the storm comes and then the waves are like mountains. People
  34. will pray to Allah SWT with so much sincerity and they say "Oh Allah if You save
  35. us we will dedicate our lives to You!" and usually people at that time they're calling only on one
  36. God, they're not calling on multiple Gods. That's because the instinct kicks in, the pure human innate
  37. nature kicks in. There's only one God and when Allah SWT takes them to the safety
  38. what do they do? Then they go back to their "Shirk" as if they never asked Allah before
  39. I've experienced that myself, I fly a lot and one time people around me, I was so disturbed they were
  40. drinking, laughing this and that and then air turbulence hits and the airplane was going right
  41. and left and up and down. Everyone stopped drinking, everyone started crying, everyone
  42. started calling upon God and the Lord and once the turbulence were gone it's like it's magic or
  43. something it's like not real. Everyone went back to drinking and everyone went back to laughing
  44. as if nothing happened before
  45. This ability to switch back and forth, when Allah SWT
  46. gives us good times after hard times it's another experience. One experience we go with Allah when
  47. we go through hardship, another experience we go with Allah when we go through ease
  48. That ease should make us say Alhamdulillah "Praise be to Allah"
  49. That peace and that ease and that abundance after scarcity
  50. should make us closer to Allah SWT more humble with the people
  51. share the blessings with others, humble ourselves, not show off, not put people down and rub it in their faces
  52. This is not who we are as Muslims, this is not what we learned from our Prophet PBUH
  53. the most blessed man, the most chosen human, yet the most humble human that you will ever meet
  54. People fell in love with him because of his humbleness and ease and familiarity and smile
  55. This is who we want to be, we want Allah's blessings on us to actually
  56. be a blessing because without faith what you consider to be a blessing might be a curse
  57. and what you consider to be a curse might be a blessing. So that's why Islam and faith gives us
  58. a different lens that we look through the lenses of the Quran, the lenses of the Sunnah and we
  59. evaluate events in life and hardship and ease in a completely different way. It strengthens
  60. the relationship with Allah SWT, it makes it stronger whether it's hard times or easy times
  61. May Allah the Mighty and Majestic make us like that all the time
  62. strong relationship with Him
  63. May Allah make us from those that He has been pleased with them and we're pleased with Him
  64. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
  65. May God’s blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions
