you get to ask Allah subhana wa taala

matter in your life that you want to do
a choice that you want to make something
that could have a huge impact on your
life for example what college should you
go to what profession or major in
University you should choose should you
marry this person or you should not
should you accept this offer job offer
should you even apply to this other one
if two job offers comes to you which one
you should choose all of these things
have a huge impact on your life either
physically emotionally financially or
many times spiritually so then how do we
get Allah subhana T involved why because
we are in a disadvantage we don't know
the future we don't know what's going to
happen tomorrow we don't even know
what's going to happen today by the end
of the day so decisions have
consequences if it is a good decision
you're going to enjoy the sequence of
events that comes after that for the
rest of your life if it is a bad
decision a bad choice you're going to
suffer from the consequences for the
rest of your life Allah subhana wa tala
is not limited by time and space so
Allah knows the future and Allah invites
you to ask him subhana tala about this
matter so what do you do you go and make
W and you pray two Sunnah it could be
any Sunnah in the D in the you know
after sunrise by 15
minutes before after after after before
any two it could be even you woke up in
the middle of the night and you started
praying after you're done with the
prayers and you put your heart in these
two you raise your hands to Allah and
you
say Ya Allah I seek your knowledge in
this matter and I seek your capabilities
your abilities to do things
for Ya Allah you know and I don't
know and you can and I
cannot Allah if you know that this
matter and you name your
matter it's good for
me if this matter that I am about to
choose is good for me
in my matter in my Dean in my dun on the
short term and on the long term look as
a Believer you're also concerned about
the long term and the long term here
doesn't mean later on in life and in
retirement long term also means in your
grave on the day of judgment Heaven
that's long term with this thing that
you looking at be good for you on the
short term and on the long term very pre
precise supplication very precise
Dua if you know that this matter it's
good for
me for my Dean and my and my matter the

term make it my
destiny make it easy for
me then put your blessings in it make it

choose evil and bad for

the Hereafter too

sometimes you want something so bad and
you're not letting go and it's not good
for you but you're so attached to it and
you want it so you're not letting go so
you're asking Allah either you get me
away from it that I don't want to do it
anymore or you get it away from me wow
that's that's beautiful again precise
Dua then at the end what do you

say Allah make my destiny always good
wherever it is whatever it is make it
always good for
me then Ya Allah make me pleased with
the outcome make me pleased with the
destiny that you're going to unroll
because how do we know the answer of the
Dua of many people think that I'm going
to make du right before I go to sleep
then I'm just going to go to sleep and
I'm going to see a dream and in the
dream Allah will tell me whether to do
it or not not true that's like 1% maybe
at best 5% but actually the answer of
the Dua of Will Roll in the destiny that
will happen after you make that prayers
you you will see things going easy easy
easy and it then it happens it
flows or you will find that Things
become harder and harder one obstacle
after another one obstacle after another
and then it's not happening obviously my
dear brothers and sisters before you do
du a few things have to be clear number
one are you making Dua are you trying to
ask Allah about doing something or not
doing it or CH choosing something is it
Halal is it actually permissible what
you're asking Allah about you can't ask
Allah to tell you shall I do this or
shall I not do it when actually it's
Haram Ya Allah um you know shall I rob a
bank or shall I not rob a bank it's
basically Allah already answered that
question for you stealing is Haram you
cannot make a Dua about something that
is Haram number two it should be in
nature ethical you know sometimes things
are not Haram like clearly Haram but
they are unethical like the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us
let not one of you go and ask for a girl
for marriage when you know and your
brother already went and talking to that
girl regarding marriage and they're
talking to each other considering one
another don't go and cross the line
because you're are so frantic and you
want it and you want her for yourself
and you the same goes for girls
like let not one so whatever you're
doing also has to be ethical this is an
eth ethical issue not like just
necessarily halalam pork versus z uh
orange juice versus alcohol this is
actually an ethical issue you have what
you're making about what you're about to
do has to be ethical has to be Halal has
to be in the path of pleasing Allah
subhana wa ta'ala you something that is
Honorable that is good not something
dishonorable like um um I hate this
person and he works for me he didn't do
anything wrong but I'm going to fire him
Ya Allah should I fire him or not that's
just wrong unethical and does not please
Allah it's it's not it doesn't Allah is
good pure and Allah does not accept
anything but Purity so once we make sure
that what we are making isar about it's
Halal it's ethical and it pleases Allah
then we go and pray these two ra whether
in the middle of the night
before
any then we make the Dua and then after
we make the Dua we go on with the matter
like for example I I I I I applied for
two jobs right and I think I like this
job more so then I move on with the
matter I don't just make then I freeze
and then I wait for Allah to answer me
that's also very much wrong conception
about so you have to move on so in a way
when you make
du you already have made your research
also from a Dun point of view let's say
two jobs they're both Halal you have to
make your research which one which job
is paying more which job will allow you
to spend time with your family which job
has more like I mean I don't know day
offs you know sick days whatever which
job has more bonus they're both Halal
they're both good jobs both ethical do
your
research choose one and move on with it
after you make du you go apply take the
interviews move on and then you're going
to see that this what you have chosen
has uh already now moving into make
becoming easy or becoming hard if it
becomes hard and it stands in your way
some people tell me I made
du and I it's not happening it keeps on
one obstacle after another but I really
still want to do it should I continue
pursuing I say man you know you should
get the hint you know Allah gives you a
hint You should take the hint but is
there anything wrong with keep to keep
to keep on trying no there is nothing
wrong with that you just have to accept
Allah's Destiny and that's why I tell
people did you say in your
Dua Allah take me away from it or take
it away from me did you
say you know make it easy for
me did you say Allah make me accept the
outcome because maybe you're making Dua
and you actually don't know what you're
saying because
Dua literally gives you the mindset that
you should have before you make the Dua
so that after the Dua whatever reveals
itself to you through Allah's Destiny
whatever is happening will give you the
hint and you will accept it and you will
be okay with it it's very fascinating my
dear brothers and sisters that we have
this open communication with Allah that
we can actually consult him you know
sometimes people say well I was on the
way to the job and I remember I didn't
make du you don't have to pray before
you could be driving and you make du you
could say it without the two raat
prayers but it's better to say it after
the two raat prayer but don't make it
you know I want all of us to get used to
making this Dua with the smallest thing
believe it or not in the Hadith we have
that the sah the companions of the
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam used
to make
du before going and buying
shoes the smallest thing were an
intimate relationship imagine be go
before you go and buy furniture you make
du imagine before you go and buy not
even the house a house you definitely
need du but what happen if you're just
buying a Furniture what if you are about
to buy a car what if you buy about to
buy a suit or t-shirt or this this gives
you an intimate relationship and it
keeps the relationship between you and
Allah live healthy positive and
interactive this way your faith will not
go down because you're disconnected from
Allah subhana tala but you see Allah's
role active in your daily life
insh may Allah brings for us the best
what is best for us in this world and in
the hereafter
