  1. Assalamu Alaikum
  2. And welcome back to this Ramadan series, As-Sirat al-Mustaqim "The Straight Path"
  3. After you have seen the signs of Allah around you and inside you.
  4. What is your reaction to that when you realize
  5. that a lot created the universe for you and created you for Him?
  6. When you realize that everything around you is there to serve you,
  7. when you realize the endless amount of blessings
  8. upon yourself in every possible way, whether you realize it and recognize it,
  9. or you don't even realize the blessing. When you see that you have been dipped
  10. and a lot has spoiled you with his blessings
  11. and you've been dipped in his blessings. When you realize
  12. that you have been favored by Allah SWT
  13. and you have been honored and you are the only one around
  14. who has this high level of consciousness
  15. that you understand your existence.
  16. You understand the existence of the universe,
  17. and you understand the existence of Allah Himself.
  18. That your heart can host the greatest thing
  19. in the universe, which is the love of Allah SWT
  20. And this is our second stop on this journey.
  21. The love of Allah.
  22. This love is not born out of nothing.
  23. It's born out of a deep realization and a deep recognition
  24. to what Allah SWT created for you and has already done for you
  25. without ever asking you to do something as that prerequisite.
  26. You were born in this world.
  27. Your mom and dad were there.
  28. The universe was there. Everything was there.
  29. and when Allah gave you, He gave you before He ever asked you
  30. to worship Him.
  31. To pray for Him, to recognize Him.
  32. He already gave you abundantly.
  33. Unconditionally.
  34. My dear brothers and sisters, we have come to a time
  35. where the word "Love", which is supposed to describe
  36. the holiest feeling
  37. and thing that a human can give to anyone else,
  38. to this word being used to describe
  39. the physical pleasure that happens between a man and a woman.
  40. What has happened to the word "Love"?
  41. We want to bring the word "Love" back to its highest place.
  42. I still remember the love of a Palestinian sister
  43. in the State of California, for her autistic kid
  44. who was not covered by insurance.
  45. She fought the State of California and she changed
  46. the entire law of the state to cover autism,
  47. even if it's a prerequisite, even if it is a preexisting condition.
  48. This sister was in her house with her children and a fire caught
  49. the house, she ran out,
  50. then she ran back in to her autistic kid, hugged him so hard,
  51. tried to get him out of the fire, and they found them like that, both dead.
  52. It is one of the most impactful stories that I ever came
  53. across in my life, especially that I knew the mom and her son.
  54. This love of Allah SWT is not mere emotions,
  55. but it is something that turns into action.
  56. This is what we call "The Actions of the Hearts"
  57. Do you actually love Allah for Himself?
  58. in spite of what He has given you or what He will reward you,
  59. even though He has given you so much more than you can thank Him for.
  60. And He will reward you so much more than you can imagine.
  61. But do you love Allah for who He is?
  62. After you saw His signs in His universe and in yourself,
  63. loving Allah SWT translates into action.
  64. You start loving what Allah loves.
  65. So if Allah loves his house, the Mosques, and He loves to see you
  66. there, you go there,
  67. and you hang there,
  68. You start loving whosoever loves Allah.
  69. So you love the believers.
  70. You call them your brothers and sisters in faith and the Prophet PBHU
  71. told us: There are people on the Day of Judgment.
  72. They're not prophets or messengers.
  73. They're not martyrs.
  74. They're not from the highest levels "Seddeqeen"
  75. But the prophets and messengers and the martyrs
  76. and the highest believers envy them on the Day of Judgment.
  77. They sit on seats made out of light.
  78. They said, Who are they Messenger?
  79. He said, Those who loved one another for the sake of Allah SWT
  80. This love you will be immensely rewarded for it.
  81. This love creates a personal relationship between you and Allah.
  82. I always ask people, if I saw you in the market
  83. with your mom and with your brothers and sisters, and I asked you,
  84. who is that older lady with you?
  85. You will always answer: Oh, she's my mom.
  86. No one ever answered me in my life that they will say: She's our mom.
  87. Even though you have so many brothers
  88. and sisters, you will only refer to your mom as my mom.
  89. A lot is the Lord of the universe, the God of everyone.
  90. But is He your God?
  91. Do you have that personal touch?
  92. This is the importance of love.
  93. You know, people who are in love, they lose their appetite.
  94. They lose their sleep, they lose their focus.
  95. They only think about the one whom they love
  96. and they always talk about the one whom they love.
  97. Do you know that's exactly what happens to us in Ramadan?
  98. We lose our appetite. We don't eat.
  99. We lose our sleep.
  100. We pray all night. We talk only about Allah.
  101. We read His book and we're always thinking about Him.
  102. Subhanahu wa Ta'ala "Glory be to Him, the Exalted"
  103. That's why fasting and praying Ramadan is a practical translation
  104. of our love to Allah SWT in the real world.
  105. May Allah accept from all of us and may Allah love us.
  106. As He said in the َQuran: "who love Him and are loved by Him"
  107. He loves them, the believers, and they love Him.
  108. It's a two way relationship and it's the most beautiful thing in this Deen "religion"
  109. if you take it out of Islam.
  110. Islam will become very dry.
  111. If you put it in, it will bring back life and energy to you.
  112. And to your family and the entire Muslim world.
  113. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
