  3. start with are essential for every
  4. believer
  5. the name al-hakim and the name hikmah
  6. this nabal hakeem is mentioned in one of
  7. the most beloved surahs to muslims
  8. around the world which is suratiya sin
  9. allah says after all
  10. quran but also in surat al-qamr allah
  11. describes the quran as
  12. an extensive wisdom
  13. now interestingly it's very usual even
  14. in any language when you describe a book
  15. you say this is a book of wisdom or a
  16. book full of wisdom
  17. and when you describe a human you say
  18. this is a wise man
  19. it's unusual to describe a book as a
  20. wise book
  21. is very interesting because allah
  22. subhanahu ta'ala describes himself
  23. as
  24. hakim it's one of the names of allah the
  25. wise one subhana ta'ala his word allah
  26. gives it the same name

  29. what is hikmah and how can that help us
  30. in our daily lives
  31. hikmah is defined by different scholars
  32. throughout the ages with different
  33. definitions they're all beautiful
  34. but hikmah is to do the right thing and
  35. say the right thing at the right time at
  36. the right place for the right reasons
  37. using the right words but also hikmah is
  38. to know
  39. the reason behind things or to see
  40. through things
  41. why because instead of looking at things
  42. from the outside and being
  43. deceived by their appearances you
  44. actually see through them
  45. wisdom
  46. is not to go through trial and error and
  47. trial it saves you from that it saves
  48. your time and energy because you kind of
  49. know how things will end up being at the
  50. end so you save yourself so much pain
  51. and suffering the teachings of the quran
  52. dear brothers and sisters will
  53. both give us wisdom and make us wise
  54. which is something that is becoming less
  55. and less and less in this world after
  56. all allah in the quran said whosoever
  57. allah gives him wisdom he has given him
  58. an abundance of goodness
  59. make the quran a source of wisdom and
  60. may allah
