  67. always beautiful beautiful performance
  68. uh may allah reward you guys
  69. halfway across the globe but here with
  70. us virtually so thank you once again
  71. so like they said of course we'll have
  72. uh much more nasheed later on um but for
  73. now i want to just take a moment to
  74. formally uh thank you all for being here
  75. and joining us it is 601
  76. p.m um and our program has officially
  77. started we got warmed up with the in
  78. team uh with some beautiful vocals uh
  79. today is a big day not only will we have
  80. a uh many speakers that we'll be
  81. chatting with um but we will be
  82. announcing the tech the award today is
  83. the award ceremony for the why do i love
  84. this little law um competition that went
  85. on and um i my name is shafiq i am an
  86. active volunteer with stalazzo
  87. i
  88. really really appreciate what pawaso has
  89. going on here uh several years ago when
  90. um i had the opportunity and pleasure to
  91. help out with the lasso i
  92. really realized there's something
  93. special for the youth
  94. um being formed i was at the end of my
  95. youth and beginning of my i guess you
  96. know non-youth or adulthood whatever you
  97. want to call it so i was i was really
  98. able to observe both sides of this
  99. this this group of people coming
  100. together uh to remind each other to do
  101. good and and on that note a little bit
  102. of history of colossal it began in 2014
  103. it was essentially a youth enrichment
  104. program started at sbia uh but really it
  105. evolved to much more than that into its
  106. own nonprofit um in 2019 and the
  107. organization tawaso speaks to the
  108. mission that we carry out because
  109. linguistically it means a group of
  110. people who actively advise and support
  111. one another and that was the feeling i
  112. sensed early early on when we would
  113. gather at sbia and have events like this
  114. in person pre-covet days
  115. um
  116. so also continues to uh
  117. aim to inspire muslim youth through
  118. faith companionship and service to
  119. become leaders and the best version of
  120. themselves in addition to
  121. overall vision is to connect with muslim
  122. youth with each other and with their
  123. local centers massage it and leaders so
  124. that they can serve and grow their
  125. communities that being said i will have
  126. the honor and pleasure of passing on the
  127. torch to um your amazing host uh live
  128. hussein who will make sure
  129. uh you know your evening goes smoothly
  130. and we all reap the benefits uh of
  131. tonight inshaallah live as a first year
  132. student as a tuna she's a proud granada
  133. islamic school alumni and she's a
  134. die-hard they'll also volunteer um and
  135. you know it's my pleasure to introduce
  136. her and pass on the microphone to her
  137. and we'll be seeing you later on
  138. throughout the program
  139. yeah i'm really excited for this event
  140. tonight inshallah everything will go
  141. smoothly i wanted to add regarding to
  142. oso um
  143. one of our main missions here
  144. you know based on the observation
  145. recently that youth in our community are
  146. constantly being pressured by negative
  147. influences right so we kind of recognize
  148. the need to empower muslim youth through
  149. mentoring through learning through
  150. volunteering and so this speech
  151. competition that we're doing
  152. actually falls into one of five methods
  153. that we use to achieve our math our
  154. mission which is learning mentorship
  155. identity community service and then
  156. leadership and so
  157. to promote leadership in our youth we've
  158. been doing public speaking training
  159. we've been doing debates and
  160. competitions like this one today so
  161. through these various programs inshallah
  162. we hope to instill values of speaking up
  163. for one another right empathy
  164. responsibility and respect and youth
  165. involved in our organization and of
  166. course thanks to all of your support and
  167. involvement we hope to continue on this
  168. journey of inspiring our muslim youth
  169. insha'allah
  170. and to start off of course
  171. any event we are going to have some
  172. recitation by
  173. zakariya in sha allah and i'll pass it
  174. on to sheikhala al-baqri to introduce
  175. him inshallah
  176. born and raised in morocco
  177. currently resides in the beautiful city
  178. of mcnas
  179. and recites the quran comfortably with
  180. the riwaya of hafsa and masha'allah
  181. a world-class party actually he won the
  182. best party in the muslim world a few
  183. years back masha allah a world-class
  184. moonshid
  185. nasheed of the love and the praise of
  186. allah and his prophet and messenger and
  187. a world-class human being and a brother
  188. that i love to see and hang out always
  189. with masha allah beautiful company and
  190. and very good in at hiking also masha
  191. allah so uh
  192. please uh help us to start with a
  193. recitation from al-quran

  213. we would love uh for you to
  214. makes
  215. for us which is insha allah in two
  216. minutes
  217. um alhamdulillah
  218. so um
  219. what's the plan sister liba for the uh
  220. next we're going to have uh
  221. the mother if so that people know who
  222. are watching how are we going to handle
  223. the next few minutes inshallah
  224. definitely inshallah so throughout the
  225. night after we have our event we're
  226. going to have a 10 or 15 minute break
  227. from maghrib during that time we're
  228. going to have some nasheeds playing in
  229. case you have some little kids or you
  230. come back early you want to listen
  231. they're beautiful mashallah
  232. and then um
  233. we are going to have
  234. a winner of our speech competition
  235. followed by
  236. a speaker
  237. and we're gonna go through that process
  238. throughout the whole night we're not
  239. gonna tell you if the winner is first
  240. second or third you're gonna have to
  241. wait to the end for that but it
  242. definitely we're gonna have some winners
  243. throughout and so you're gonna hear
  244. clips of their speeches that they turned
  245. into us
  246. and then we're gonna have a speaker
  247. speak to us insha'allah we have lots of
  248. speakers throughout the night and that's
  249. how it's going to go i'm really excited
  250. inshallah alhamdulillah so
  251. the adhan is in one minute
  252. i think and then we are going to be back
  253. there will be after the adhan
  254. two minutes probably of break and then
  255. the brothers from the in team will step
  256. in and given a sheet so that the
  257. children and the people who are not
  258. praying you know the this can they are
  259. they can watch
  260. and then what time we're gonna go back
  261. to the program start again i believe
  262. it's
  263. starting 6 25 inshallah 6 25 inshallah
  264. to 6
  265. 30 so we're breaking i think from 6 15
  266. uh
  267. all the way
  268. to 6 25 or 6 30 insha allah so that's
  269. the plan
  270. and um
  271. i think
  272. um
  273. yes inshallah inshallah so the
  274. the mic is yours
  275. hold the finger
  276. along with
  277. alone

  408. beautiful young inshaallah future imam
  409. rashid sheikh insha allah so
  410. sister sadie if you can display his
  411. speech
  412. assalamu alaikum my name is rashid today
  413. i'm gonna talk about why i love
  414. rasulullah i love rasulullah because he
  415. had the best character
  416. he was kind
  417. merciful
  418. loving
  419. to everyone
  420. when he went to taipe
  421. to spread the message of islam
  422. nobody listened to him
  423. they drove them out of the city
  424. pelting stones at him
  425. the prophet was
  426. bleeding
  427. from head to toe
  428. sandals were filled with blood
  429. he was filled with grief and this was
  430. one of the sad day of his life
  431. when he
  432. reached outside of
  433. taif
  434. prophet muhammed was standing and
  435. angel jibril came with angel mountains
  436. and said yeah muhammad if you want i can
  437. take these two mountains and crush
  438. the city of thailand
  439. the prophet said no do not do that even
  440. though
  441. hey i want the city to become a muslim
  442. city and
  443. the children to become muslims someday
  444. prophet was even though the prophet was
  445. emotionally
  446. physically hurt
  447. he said no to the angel
  448. that
  449. even his heart had so much mercy in him
  450. that's that's why i love
  451. rasulullah because he had
  452. he was immersive
  453. out of this world unbelievable
  454. very captivating and uh
  455. heart melting masha'allah and next
  456. actually from the elementary also
  457. another contestants and by the way you
  458. know
  459. people have been submitting for two
  460. weeks i am not one of the judges i don't
  461. get involved i don't even know how to
  462. judge the speeches
  463. but um i i have the access to watch them
  464. so i have been crying on and off every
  465. time i watch one of these videos it
  466. revives the
  467. the hope and the love and the amazing
  468. like inshallah the future is better
  469. we're going to watch another amazing
  470. speech by
  471. our sister liba
  472. khan
  473. not the libra that is introducing the
  474. program but
  475. i guess the name libra comes with lots
  476. of talents masha allah go ahead
  477. i am seven years old and i am in second
  478. grade
  479. why do i love prophet muhammad
  480. sallallahu alaihi he was solo
  481. our prophets muhammad sallallahu alaihi
  482. wasallam had many great qualities like
  483. being caring
  484. forgiving
  485. truthful respectful and always remain on
  486. path of justice
  487. i would like to talk about his forgiving
  488. and humble nature by describing the of
  489. atamaka this was one of the greatest
  490. event in the life of prophet sallallahu
  491. alaihi wasallam
  492. bismillah
  493. [Music]
  494. [Music]
  495. the people of america killed many of his
  496. companions and family members of
  497. prophets
  498. but when foot they boycotted his family
  499. for three years
  500. and tortured him oh and
  501. he was in position to take revenge
  502. yet he just forgive
  503. while entering he said
  504. that day was the day of mercy and he
  505. forgave everyone
  506. while entering the city of makkah he was
  507. not arrogant he humbled himself put his
  508. head down declaring the praise of allah
  509. subhanahu wa tala
  510. reciting
  511. again and again
  512. he came back victorious to the people
  513. who tortured who harmed him for years
  514. and he forgave them
  515. this is a sunnah this is the fact of
  516. allah
  517. mercy compassion and forgiveness this
  518. from this we learn we need to forgive
  519. people even if it is hard and to be
  520. humble
  521. may allah make her a pleasure to the
  522. eyes of their parents
  523. and all the participants i'm telling you
  524. it was i guess for the judges it was
  525. very very hard
  526. uh to judge between all of these kids
  527. they were all amazing masha'allah sister
  528. liba what do we have next
  529. masha allah all right next up we are
  530. going to have our first speaker and i
  531. will introduce her a little bit before
  532. she comes on
  533. dr hibba abneven she is a physician by
  534. training who obtained her medical degree
  535. from damascus medical school in syria
  536. and then she obtained her masters of
  537. public health from northeastern
  538. university in boston she worked for
  539. several years at the massachusetts
  540. department of public health as a women's
  541. health consultant before moving to
  542. california
  543. she has been working as an independent
  544. muslim health consultant and educator
  545. for eight years
  546. dr hibba is currently working as a
  547. part-time academic researcher at the
  548. muslims and mental health lab at
  549. stanford university please welcome dr
  550. hippa
  551. sister
  552. raheem
  553. allah
  554. for inviting me and it's an honor to be
  555. with you all today and um let me set my
  556. uh alarm for five minutes because he
  557. said that we'll be talking for five
  558. minutes
  559. so insha allah i will make it five or
  560. less
  561. inshallah
  562. he asked me uh you need to talk in five
  563. minutes why do you love rasulullah
  564. and i was thinking like subhanallah um
  565. every day every day why do i love
  566. rasulullah i have so many reasons why i
  567. love him
  568. and then actually i i was not like able
  569. to describe
  570. my love um
  571. unless i remember one quote by imam
  572. razali and i can't agree more what he
  573. said he said imam gazali
  574. beauty
  575. is the reason why we fall in love with
  576. people so when they have a beautiful
  577. character we fall in love with them and
  578. the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi
  579. wasallam he was the most beautiful
  580. allahi indeed
  581. subhanallah
  582. this is how i describe why i love him
  583. because i can feel that love in my daily
  584. life in every situation i go through
  585. subhanallah as a mother as a wife as a
  586. daughter as
  587. a physician you know in my work with my
  588. friends subhanallah as a neighbor so um
  589. i wanted to
  590. share my experience
  591. uh just like in few minutes in three
  592. words
  593. uh i hope that you take it as you know
  594. for the youth take it as a you know a
  595. takeaway message and allah it will help
  596. you in your life insha'allah as it
  597. helped me three words
  598. knowledge
  599. and
  600. love
  601. and the third word dua
  602. so remember the three elem knowledge
  603. love and
  604. how is that islam this is subhanallah
  605. increasing my knowledge um to know who
  606. is my prophet this is actually one of
  607. the best things ever
  608. i have you know made in my life
  609. subhanallah is to know who is my prophet
  610. muhammad
  611. and that made me love him so much
  612. subhanallah and get closer to him
  613. and benefit from that and apply what i
  614. learned in my life
  615. in different situations of how i
  616. remember him
  617. was with me if prophet
  618. he do subscribe
  619. so
  620. when i was young in your age i started
  621. studying the seerah i studied it from
  622. different resources alhamdulillah
  623. different books and with muslim scholars
  624. and it helped me a lot building that
  625. knowledge and love and the trust and
  626. being proud of my prophet muhammad
  627. and alhamdulillah my husband he did the
  628. same when he was young so when we got
  629. married to each other we benefited a lot
  630. from his
  631. how he treated his wives how he treated
  632. his daughters
  633. and how he treated women in general in
  634. his society at that time so subhanallah
  635. it's really beautiful the more you know
  636. your prophet the more you fall in love
  637. with him so remember this adam
  638. um the second thing is um
  639. he says you know like in the quran
  640. allah
  641. so if you really say muhammad tell them
  642. if you want really love allah follow me
  643. follow muhammad me muhammad muhammad so
  644. allah will love you back so subhanallah
  645. loving prophet muhammad and following
  646. his sunnah
  647. help me discover the path
  648. to allah
  649. and and i felt i feel it
  650. the second thing
  651. is
  652. love the second word so you study the
  653. seerah and you try to apply it in your
  654. life
  655. and one tip i learned that when i was
  656. like asking myself one day how
  657. um you know how can i increase the love
  658. of a prophet
  659. and i heard one sheikh telling
  660. subhanallah on youtube saying this is a
  661. practical tip it's very practical he
  662. said
  663. try to practice sending salam and salah
  664. every day to prophet muhammad
  665. not just during your you know your salah
  666. prayer no but even
  667. um when you you remember him in the car
  668. for example when i'm driving my car they
  669. say allah
  670. subhan allah i'm talking about my
  671. experience i i i i can feel the
  672. difference in my life subhanallah and
  673. the benefits of how the sending salah to
  674. prophet muhammed helped me the last
  675. thing um is uh
  676. always make the
  677. make dot to allah to
  678. increase the love of prophet in your
  679. heart and to make you insha allah
  680. among the people who get the shafa he
  681. will be your intercessor in the day of
  682. judgment
  683. allah benefit us from your knowledge
  684. and masha allah dr
  685. teaches
  686. [Music]
  687. you know
  688. about puberty to girls masha allah
  689. directly through her and we also through
  690. tawasa and her success has been
  691. masha'allah the class has been a great
  692. successor
  693. and inshallah we see you more and more
  694. and more
  695. our young talented speakers we're so
  696. enthusiastic engaging and passionate so
  697. we are going to move on to our middle
  698. school level speakers and present one of
  699. our middle school winners right now
  700. inshallah inshallah
  701. so uh the next will be inshallah we will
  702. display maryam farhat in sha allah
  703. and see what she has
  704. to say very amazing speech and talented
  705. younger inshallah
  706. this was our lesson today
  707. i hope you guys learned something your
  708. homework assignment would be to write
  709. five to seven sentences about why you
  710. love prophet muhammad sallallahu alaiha
  711. salaam alaikum guys see you tomorrow
  712. when i was young my mom always told me
  713. to love prophet muhammed
  714. and don't get me wrong he's an amazing
  715. person
  716. but you can't love someone just because
  717. you're told to
  718. sorry but i kind of have to go right now
  719. [Music]
  720. what i mean by that is his love to me
  721. was so powerful that it made me want to
  722. love him back
  723. i could talk about this in any situation
  724. for example my mom loves me so i love
  725. her my friend loves me so i love her
  726. back
  727. this was what caused me to love
  728. rasulallah
  729. you may ask me how do you know that he
  730. loves you
  731. well prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi
  732. wasallam always talked about how he
  733. loved his ummah and how he was awaiting
  734. the moment when he would see us
  735. nsm thematic reported the messenger of
  736. allah peace and blessings be upon him
  737. said
  738. i wish i could meet my brothers
  739. the prophet's companion said are we not
  740. your brothers
  741. the prophet said you are my companions
  742. but my brothers are those who have faith
  743. in me although they never saw me
  744. prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi salam
  745. also saved his dua for us
  746. what i mean by that is allah subhanahu
  747. wa
  748. has given every prophet and messenger
  749. one dua that will be accepted
  750. every prophet before him has used this
  751. dua in the world for himself
  752. except for rasulallah
  753. it is narrated in sahih muslim that he
  754. said i have kept it from my own mouth
  755. and i will use it for them on the day of
  756. judgement and my dua will be o allah
  757. forgive my entire ummah he said aloha
  758. could have used this toward for his
  759. uncle abu talib when he was on his
  760. deathbed and died as a disbeliever
  761. if he wanted to he could have asked
  762. allah to cause his uncle to embrace
  763. islam
  764. or for hadith
  765. and his children one day passed away
  766. he could have asked the law
  767. to allow his family to be with him until
  768. he passed away
  769. for all these hard moments in his life
  770. but he chose us his ummah over his own
  771. family
  772. this is why i love
  773. for he rasulullah us more than anyone
  774. else could
  775. prophet muhammad solo allah has said i'm
  776. suffered for us just because he soloized
  777. him loves us and i love him too
  778. like a movie production
  779. may allah bless him bless her parents
  780. who helped her
  781. fascinating
  782. and inshallah maybe we'll ask for our
  783. last time
  784. our brothers at m team to do the final
  785. nasheed for us as masha'allah they have
  786. another engagement that they have to go
  787. to so please go ahead brothers
  788. together

  812. of this
  813. we are very proud and honored to be part
  814. of this uh barakah even inshallah
  815. and we hope inshallah in the future we
  816. could uh go there physically inshallah
  817. maybe
  818. what do we have
  819. next insha allah we are going to move on
  820. to our young and upcoming speakers the
  821. high school and college level winners in
  822. sha allah
  823. um
  824. yes inshallah
  825. and
  826. we are
  827. going to share the
  828. screen inshallah and i will share with
  829. you
  830. we will see
  831. one of our contestants
  832. um
  833. amazing sister uh
  834. inaudible
  835. why do i love rasulullah sallallahu
  836. a thousand things come to mind he's our
  837. messenger he bore allah's love letter to
  838. humanity he's a mercy to mankind
  839. he warned us about janna and he showed
  840. us the way to jenna
  841. and while all of that is true
  842. is that really why i love him
  843. or are these just facts in a history
  844. book memorize them in my head but never
  845. hold them in my heart
  846. so why is it that i love rasulullah
  847. sallallahu they can send them
  848. not just respect not just admire
  849. but love
  850. i love him because he knew me before i
  851. knew myself
  852. he cried for me tears dripping down the
  853. palms of his hands and the recesses of
  854. the night
  855. um
  856. before i even had a name
  857. i love him because he thought of me long
  858. before my heart began its ticking clock
  859. and the blissful piece of my mother's
  860. womb
  861. i love him because he remembered me when
  862. i was still in the company of the angels
  863. before i had forgotten when my feet were
  864. placed on this earth
  865. i love him because he mentioned me
  866. he mentioned me proudly in the company
  867. of the best his ummah who would love him
  868. without seeing him he would follow his
  869. way blinded with his love deafened with
  870. his praise and speechless in his all
  871. i love him because he loved me
  872. i love you because you love me
  873. i love you because you wait for me cup
  874. in hand by your gotho
  875. i love you because you won't accept your
  876. agenda until i have entered mine
  877. i love you because you hear me and you
  878. answer me when i pray for you
  879. i love you because you hurt for me you
  880. gave for me and you broke for me
  881. allah
  882. i love you because i have never deserved
  883. your love your affection your thoughts
  884. your tears and yet you spent your nights
  885. praying for me and you spent your day
  886. suffering for me
  887. rasool allah
  888. i love you because you are a light a
  889. bright star bursting through pure glass
  890. devoting your whole life to saving mine
  891. rasulallah
  892. i love you because all it takes is your
  893. name to secure the delivery of my
  894. prayers to my lord
  895. maybe allah ridiculous
  896. i love you because even when i can't
  897. understand the feeling something in the
  898. cadence of your name makes my eyes swim
  899. and my lungs swell and i wish i had
  900. gotten to see your face hear your voice
  901. walk amongst your most righteous
  902. companions so that i might behold even
  903. the faintest glimpse of the blessing the
  904. immeasurable blessing of the air through
  905. which you walked
  906. yeah muhammad prophet of allah blessings
  907. and peace be upon you every moment of
  908. all eternity
  909. i love you because allah loves you
  910. i love you because you love me
  911. i mean wow what a powerful uh
  912. what do you think liver
  913. so mashallah
  914. and just passionate heartfelt from the
  915. bottom of our heart martial
  916. unbelievable
  917. uh masha'allah
  918. and
  919. next actually
  920. was in our program imam tahir
  921. and there is no
  922. serious event that will happen in the
  923. bay area that imam tahir is not part of
  924. alhamdulillah every event at tawas
  925. albeit
  926. like 12 to 4 a.m in ramadan twice he
  927. attended with us
  928. this is the third time that he was
  929. supposed to attend the competition with
  930. tawasa but subhanallah today he was
  931. flying back to the bay area his flight
  932. got delayed by american airlines and he
  933. is right now in flight so he could have
  934. not uh
  935. come with us and spoken with us
  936. alhamdulillah
  937. so uh in
  938. to he give us the permission sha allah
  939. to fill his spot with the speeches of
  940. our youth in sha allah i actually uh the
  941. one that was next after imam tahir was
  942. an elementary winner but i wanted to
  943. feature the middle school winner
  944. uh the the the second show of the middle
  945. school so sister sadia if you can show
  946. us the speech of uh brother amman
  947. hussain inshallah
  948. and today i just wanted to tell you
  949. why i
  950. love the prophet muhammad sallallahu
  951. alaihi wasallam
  952. and why you should too
  953. now i could go on for today
  954. speaking about
  955. why we should
  956. and we do
  957. love the prophet muhammad sallallahu
  958. alaihi wasallam
  959. but i'm just gonna highlight one which
  960. stands out to me the most
  961. he never gave up
  962. and it's not just saying like never give
  963. up in a sports game or something like
  964. that but
  965. just imagine yourself in the position of
  966. the prophet muhammad said
  967. when he went to
  968. which he says was the hardest day of his
  969. life
  970. and he was thrown out of the city
  971. and little kids
  972. were
  973. picking up stones
  974. and throwing it at the prophet muhammed
  975. little kids
  976. how humiliating would that be
  977. blood
  978. covered his sandals
  979. a layer on his handles
  980. it's it's just so hard for him
  981. so i think that we could all
  982. take a little bit of that just a little
  983. tiny itty bit
  984. and implement that into our lives
  985. when he got revelation it was also very
  986. hard for him whenever he got revelations
  987. from the quran
  988. he was in pain
  989. because it was intense and it was hard
  990. but he didn't just stop there or give up
  991. and there are so many times
  992. where
  993. i myself would probably give up
  994. because it's so incredibly hard
  995. but he never did the prophet muhammad
  996. didn't give up in the year of sadness
  997. when the closest people in his lives
  998. died
  999. he didn't give up
  1000. he pushed on
1001. and he was rewarded by
  1002. allah
  1003. by going in
  1004. that just shows
1005. that with perseverance and trust in
  1006. allah
1007. you will always get rewarded and always
  1008. get back something
1009. whether it's in this world
  1010. or the next
1011. that's why i love the prophet muhammad
1012. just in s you guys are wondering aman is
1013. the younger brother of our host
  1014. or hostess
  1015. sister laiba
1016. so masala may allah bless both of your
1017. parents who raise you make you pleasure
  1018. to their eyes
1019. and make you always adding to their
  1020. hasanat
  1021. very confident and
1022. beautiful and calm performance by your
  1023. young brother amman
  1024. masha allah i think
1025. we have actually you know
1026. uh a moonshed someone who does nasheed
  1027. and islamic um
1028. they call it in turkey ilahis like uh
  1029. divine songs
1030. allah in the quran said one of his signs
  1031. that he
1032. put a difference in their skin colors
  1033. and in your languages
1034. so imagine allah and his messengers
  1035. are being praised
  1036. in every language
1037. so just like we have tasted people who
1038. joined us life from kuala lumpur
1039. uh from malaysia our brothers and
1040. sisters the in team we have with us
  1041. brother murat uh bellet masha'allah he's
1042. actually joining us from istanbul turkey
1043. and he loves to sing for allah subhanahu
1044. ta'ala and for his messenger
1045. and he has couple songs that he will
  1046. share with us
  1047. so maybe he can
  1048. do the
1049. arabic one and then the turkish one
  1050. inshallah
1051. or in any order you like bismillah
  1052. [Music]
  1053. [Music]
  1054. [Music]

  1070. um
1071. next says sister i think we have a
  1072. sister uh amila al-amin masha'allah
1073. yes we are going to present our next
  1074. speaker inshallah amina al-amin is a
1075. board member of the lighthouse mosque in
1076. oakland where she resides she's the
  1077. co-founder of murray's and program
1078. director of their eating rights project
1079. amina has been combating food scarcity
1080. for over 25 years and for over 20 years
1081. she has been an active volunteer with
1082. various relief organizations such as
1083. ikna alice mohammed's no child goes to
1084. bed hungry program and support life
  1085. foundation listening
  1086. bismillah
1087. can you guys hear me
  1088. alhamdulillah
1089. so i want to first
  1090. thank
  1091. the
1092. thank team tawasa and i've been going
1093. back and forth with my daughter
1094. as whether or not it's supposed to be
1095. towassel but i keep telling her but it's
  1096. a w
  1097. it's not a it's not a lamb it's a wow
1098. and so alhamdulillah i want to um first
1099. thank you and i'm humbled and honored
1100. to uh have been invited to the program
1101. i want to say congratulations
  1102. to
1103. oh my i want to say congratulations to
1104. the contestants that are coming but also
1105. to the contestants that have already
1106. gone brother rasheed sister laba sister
  1107. miriam sister inara
  1108. and brother iman
1109. you guys have done wonderful
  1110. alhamdulillah very inspirational
1111. and you guys have really let me know
1112. that what i want to talk about
1113. is very important and it is a it is one
1114. of the reasons that we all love the
  1115. prophet muhammad
  1116. and
1117. for me as an african-american
1118. woman what i was thinking was
  1119. um
1120. why do i love the prophet
1121. alaihi wasallam and what is the greatest
1122. lesson that he has taught me
1123. and living in a country that has not
1124. always been kind to my people
  1125. and still
  1126. it's pretty unjust
  1127. to my people
  1128. the prophet sallallahu alaihi
1129. gave an example of how to be forgiving
1130. and so it would be easy
1131. for me as an african-american woman to
1132. encounter those who look like those who
1133. enslaved my ancestors and who still
  1134. oppress
1135. african-american black people in this
1136. country and have some type of
  1137. hatred toward them or
1138. disdain for them but my prophet
1139. salallahu alaihi wasallam our prophet
  1140. salallahu he
  1141. was very
  1142. intentional
  1143. in being forgiving
  1144. and
  1145. loving
1146. those even when they harmed them just
1147. like the people of tights
1148. the people of taif were harming him and
1149. trying to we're humiliating him and when
1150. the angels came and said to him
1151. we will do whatever you want as a
1152. punishment we've been given permission
1153. to do whatever you want as
1154. a punishment for them and what he wanted
  1155. was
1156. if if just their offsprings if some of
1157. their descendants were to become muslims
  1158. and as we know
1159. taif is one of the holiest places in the
  1160. world at this time
  1161. um
  1162. so
1163. when i was listening to our young
  1164. speakers masha allah
1165. and i was thinking about i was like well
1166. they're telling my story but i was
1167. thinking it's not my story it's our
1168. story and this evening is about them and
  1169. so again
1170. may the lesson that we all take away
  1171. from this is that
  1172. to have compassion
1173. for those our fellow man and and and for
  1174. mankind even
  1175. when
1176. they may not be being very
1177. compassionate and loving towards us to
1178. fight those who fight us so that's not
1179. we we're not to cow
  1180. but
1181. to not hold malice and to not hold
1182. hatred in our hearts that is the
1183. greatest lesson that the prophet
1184. muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam has
  1185. taught me
1186. and that is why i love him so much again
1187. i am so honored and grateful to have

1223. that's only on saturday on friday a
1224. similar operation in oakland that
1225. distributes food to the east bay and uh
1226. on sunday another location it's just

1247. so i know he's with us i think on the uh
  1248. on this brother oliver
1249. and if you are here you can unmute

1307. or i have them uh i'll tell you the name
1308. of the next contestant insha allah
  1309. they're uh
  1310. they're with us here
  1311. and
1312. i would like to hear from habiba ali
1313. where are you happy valley sister sadie
1314. if you can display her speech inshallah
  1315. assalamu alaikum
1316. assam alaikum my name is habiba ali and
1317. i am in fourth grade
1318. fourth today i'm going to be talking
1319. about why do we love our beloved prophet
  1320. muhammad
  1321. so let's start
  1322. allah says
1323. except as a mercy to the worlds
1324. there are some social reasons for loving
  1325. the last prophet muhammad
1326. the love will overflow by itself
1327. every virtue that the recommended can be
  1328. definitely found in him
1329. some people compared his beauty to the
1330. sun while other people compared his
1331. beauty to the moon but internally he had
1332. an achieved perfection like character
1333. like honesty generosity courage loyalty
  1334. empathy humility kindness patience
1335. integrity and so much more
1336. can you imagine how all these virtues
1337. blended into one person in such a
  1338. perfect way
1339. this is what the prophet sallallahu
  1340. alaihi wasallam had achieved
1341. let me tell you three facts fact number
  1342. one
1343. the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
1344. loved playing with children and
  1345. respected elders including women
1346. whenever some like older people pass by
1347. he put his head down out of humbleness
1348. he did not care how much sad he was but
1349. he respected people that too
1350. um like whenever someone was speaking
1351. with the prophet sallallahu alaihi
  1352. wasallam
1353. but the prophet of allah
1354. put his head towards the person towards
1355. that was like talking and the whole body
1356. fact three do you know the city of
1357. the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
1358. went there before he went his adopted
  1359. child said
  1360. who
  1361. and
  1362. when they arrived
1363. they were disrespected when the prophet
1364. sallallahu alaihi wasallam was like
1365. inviting them to islam they did not
  1366. accept it at all
1367. okay so a tife through big stone that
1368. the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
1369. and they tried to stop him
1370. like them and so um the prophet saw
1371. allah sacrificed and this is not a
1372. single fact how he sacrificed
1373. he did it for his ummah
1374. now let me tell you his last sermon
1375. all mankind is from adam and eve
1376. an arab has no superiority over a
  1377. non-arab nor does a non-rub or have any
1378. superiority over an arab a black has no
1379. superiority or a white nor does a white
1380. have none superiority over black
1381. no one have any superiority over another
1382. except by piety and good action
1383. like bad people and good people and good
1384. people are superior than the bad people
1385. so um in the day of judgment the prophet
1386. sallallahu alaihi wasallam is going to
1387. be waiting for us like to come to heaven
1388. if we pray in the mass but then today
1389. like prayed prayer five times a day and
  1390. rick
1391. um and so these are the deeds you should
1392. do to like go to jannah and he's gonna
1393. be waiting for us he's gonna request
1394. online he will like i think allah will
1395. send us to jannah inshallah so till next
1396. time it's me habiba ali and my blessings
1397. be peace be upon our beloved prophet
1398. muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam till
1399. next time it's me habiba ali and allah
1400. wow masha'allah that was uh
1401. amazing uh masha'allah sister libo what
  1402. do you think
1403. mashaallah our speakers just keep on
1404. getting better they're all so amazing
  1405. and confident
1406. uh so inshallah we have our next guest
1407. speaker a beloved person to me please go
  1408. ahead and introduce doctor
1409. mangura was born in sierra leone where
1410. he did his undergraduate studies and he
1411. has a phd in comparative literature he
1412. has taught courses at the university of
1413. san francisco for 23 years during this
1414. time he used opportunities he had to
1415. seek islamic knowledge and study arabic
  1416. in middle eastern countries
1417. in 1996 he founded and is still the
1418. chair of san foundation for west africa
  1419. which is a non-profit dedicated to
  1420. humanitarian work and community
  1421. empowerment
1422. now dedicates his time in retirement to
1423. uplifting communities in west africa
1424. writing and the exploration of
1425. understanding the arabic and the quran
  1426. through each other
1427. i feel very blessed to be uh in this
  1428. fellowship this evening
1429. actually when i listened to our young
  1430. daughters and sons
  1431. in this
1432. vika of muhammad sallam there's only one
1433. thing that comes to my mind
1434. i think of my aunt in african sierra
1435. leone she was totally illiterate
1436. and she used to say uh something i would
1437. never forget that is uh in timney and
  1438. dinah both
1439. which means that this deen is sweet
  1440. this dean is sweet
1441. and and and for her the deen of islam is
1442. is really something to be savored
1443. something to be tasted like food is
  1444. tasted
1445. uh and if one does not taste the
  1446. sweetness of this deen
1447. one has not tasted anything in one's
  1448. life
1449. and this is uh confirmed by my um
1450. participation this evening this blessed
1451. evening um in this victory of muhammad
  1452. sallam
1453. you know everything about us is a vicar
  1454. of muhammad saw everything
1455. that we will live our lives
  1456. our names are the
1457. there is a tribe in africa called the
  1458. hausa
1459. some people have five uh five boys they
1460. call them all muhammad sallallahu alaihi
  1461. sallam
  1462. muhammad
1463. muhammad and so on and so forth so
  1464. everything about about us
1465. is is a vicar of muhammad sallam and i'm
1466. reminded of a very touching moment for
1467. me in medina when one old man said um as
1468. he met me for the first time
1469. and he was crying uh
1470. he is his story is so overwhelming for
  1471. me
  1472. that
1473. you realize just how blessed this uh
  1474. human being muhammad
1475. is how much of his love is ingrained in
1476. the in the in the hearts of the most
1477. beautiful people in the world that they
1478. love him to cherish him and what i heard
1479. tonight is just a testament to that to
1480. that to that um a perpetual fact reality
  1481. i cannot really
1482. tell you one thing for for which i
1483. i feel so connected to the to muhammad
1484. with him is so is so intense and so
1485. varied uh uh but i'll just pick on just
1486. three things i want to focus on and that
1487. is his wisdom uh he's been very
1488. principled and and the special place he
1489. had in his heart for the young and the
1490. very special place muhammad salem had
  1491. for for young people
1492. i wanted to imagine uh
1493. one of the sisters i think she's in
1494. college she just spoke and she brought
  1495. me to tears
1496. imagine her in the comp in the comfort
1497. of muhammad salad alison imagine her
  1498. there
1499. and and imagine muhammad sallam asking
1500. her something asking her permission for
1501. something would she should she say no to
1502. that to that to that request of muhammad
1503. said i said would you say no would you
1504. have the power to say no
1505. well i want to take you today to a story
1506. that is carried by muslim and bukhari uh
1507. it's a very riveting story in which uh
1508. muhammad was in the comp it was in the
  1509. um company of
  1510. sahaba
1511. and and and a drink was brought to him
1512. and he drank of this milk very
1513. peacefully very calmly as you imagine
1514. uh but it so happened that on his right
  1515. hand side
1516. was a young man a very young person it
  1517. says
  1518. i'm probably around 10 or 15 years old
1519. that is a person who's right hand side
  1520. the only one there
1521. and to his left are the kibar the the
1522. older sahaba i don't know who they are
1523. it could be muhammad it could be
1524. and all of those great people
1525. so imagine this this situation which he
1526. drunk and everybody would love to try to
1527. drink after muhammad said i said
1528. everybody would like to be first to
  1529. drink from him
1530. and so he turns to this young man it
  1531. says
1532. would you permit me to
1533. would you permit me to give the drink to
1534. to the other people to the older people
  1535. that was a question
1536. now you first ask yourself how did he
  1537. manage to get there
1538. well he got there because he knew that
1539. mohamed salah had a very special place
1540. in his heart for young people he sought
1541. him he was there not only was he there
1542. he was very very close to him not only
1543. very close to him he was on his the
  1544. right
1545. his right hand side and not only that
  1546. muhammad
1547. sallallahu salaam turned to him
1548. just not to talk to him
1549. to ask of him almost a favor
1550. a permission to do something imagine
  1551. that
1552. muhammad said i said i'm turning to you
1553. to talk to you directly not only to talk
1554. to you to ask you for something that you
  1555. wanted to do
1556. what was it that you asked him to do may
1557. i give this string to these people
1558. may i give this drink to these people
1559. first before i give you
1560. now i want you to imagine that there are
1561. two principles here at stake and they're
  1562. all about etiquette
1563. there is the etiquette of
1564. the for the older people there's also
  1565. the etiquette of
  1566. giving
1567. precedence to the right hand
1568. what must be done here
  1569. what takes precedence
  1570. which principle is higher
  1571. the most
1572. amazing thing about all these brothers
1573. and sisters is that muhammad sallam did
  1574. not make that decision
1575. he did not decide what to do in this
1576. case he gave that to his
  1577. sought his permission
1578. to give the drink to the older people
  1579. first
1580. so he had to decide the young man had to
  1581. decide
1582. that is the honor that he had for this
1583. young man but there is also wisdom in
  1584. this move of his
1585. imagine if he had been the one to decide
1586. whether to give the drink to the young
1587. man or to give the drink to the older
1588. people this is a big topic i don't want
1589. to address that here now the fact is
1590. that he did not and the wisdom there is
  1591. so so sublime
  1592. and the boy's answer
1593. the young man's answer is
  1594. no i will not
1595. i will not give preference to anyone
  1596. over myself
1597. on this fortune coming from you
1598. i will not give preference to anyone
  1599. over myself
1600. on this fortune that has come from you
1601. and muhammad said i said let me turn to
  1602. him
1603. after he drank he gave him the cup the
1604. boy drank first and that was the end of
  1605. the story
  1606. so imagine
  1607. this scenario
1608. uh of this beautiful story of
1609. uh prophet muhammad bin with a young man
1610. and your older people and look at the
1611. respect he had for this young man and
1612. look at the love that this young man had
1613. first of all to find a place in the
1614. company of these old people
1615. and look at how much he desired
1616. to drink after muhammad sallallahu
1617. alaihi sallam before anybody else even
1618. at the expense of disobeying muhammad
1619. sallallahu imagine that situation and
  1620. yet muhammad said
1621. he gave him the cup to drink and that
  1622. was the end
  1623. of the story
1624. a great story of wisdom a great story of
1625. the place that young people had in the
1626. heart of muhammad sallam but also in the
1627. wisdom of the young people
1628. look at the answer of this young man he
1629. did not just say no i'm not going to do
1630. that he said i cannot i cannot do this i
1631. wish i were able to give this to these
1632. young old people i cannot do that i
1633. cannot give up this privilege this
  1634. fortune
  1635. that came to me
  1636. to anybody else
1637. so this is not saying i will not do this
1638. yeah yeah rasulullah i cannot do this i
  1639. cannot do this
1640. and so muhammad said i said he turned to
1641. him he gave him the cup he drank and
1642. that was the end of the story so this is
1643. what i wanted to share with you tonight
  1644. to see these moments
  1645. there are
1646. plenty of them the seerah they're very
1647. silent to don't talk about them
  1648. which
  1649. exhibit
  1650. bring to light
  1651. the
  1652. incredibly beautiful character and
1653. wisdom of muhammad sallallahu alaihi
1654. um and and of course the wisdom of our
1655. young man he could have been 10 15.
1656. could have been one of these people
1657. speaking here today and by hearing these
  1658. young men speak today
1659. i am confident i'm confident that the
1660. baton of tawaheed of the love of him has
1661. been passed on to them and what we heard
1662. will be with a heard will be heard by
1663. the one great great grandchildren shalom
1664. is it anywhere nick on you on the desk
  1665. next to you
1666. the old one but the new one is coming i
1667. prefer to eat for them you can hold the
1668. the old one i just wanted to people to
1669. know about the book that you've written
  1670. recently
  1671. masha'allah and now it's a new uh
  1672. refreshed uh
  1673. this masha allah
1674. exerts from the stories of the prophet
  1675. sallallahu alaihi wasallam
  1676. and brotherhood
1677. is masha'allah so mashallah oh there we
1678. go indelible footprints that's amazing
1679. so inshallah it's it's on amazon right
1680. if people uh search it
1681. yes yes masha allah may allah accept
  1682. from you
  1683. and your children
1684. so i think next we have a i think sister
1685. liver we have a um
1686. a middle school contestant a very uh
  1687. and uh
1688. he's very famous his name is sami
1689. youssef can you believe sami youssef is
  1690. on
1691. on our program masha allah
1692. but this is a a very beautiful young sam
1693. youssef and we would like to hear his
1694. speech before we hear our keynote
1695. speaker shaykh nasir janga inshallah go
  1696. ahead
1697. assalamu alaikum my name is samyasaf and
1698. i'll be reading to you why i love the
  1699. prophet sallallahu alaihi salaam
1700. why i love our prophet sallallahu alaihi
  1701. salam
  1702. muhammad sallallahu alaihi
1703. he is the greatest blessing he was sent
1704. down it to be a role model
1705. he's the most beloved he is there so we
1706. can emulate good things that he has done
1707. until the end of days
1708. allah said in the quran we have a
  1709. sentence
1710. mercy to all of humanity
1711. the name muhammad means the most and all
  1712. praiseworthy
1713. in the quran which is the light to
  1714. guidance
1715. a light sent to light up a dark world
1716. his demeanor was so pleasing to the eyes
1717. he was the most handsome out of all men
1718. he added the highest morals the
1719. compassion of the prophet muhammad
  1720. sallam
1721. said they'd always seen him with a smile
1722. and a never with a frown i love muhammad
1723. sallam because he taught us
1724. about allah he taught us about his life
  1725. and
1726. taught us about the afterlife he told us
1727. right from wrong he told us of how to
1728. live ethically upright with the moral
  1729. values
  1730. he era eradicate eradicated
1731. racism when it was the norm
1732. the prophetess muhammad sallam said
1733. there is no exaltation no virtue of an
  1734. arabic over a non-arab of a of a black
1735. over a white or a white over black every
1736. single one of them is the one and the
1737. same side of god the almighty and
1738. everyone came from adam i love him
1739. because he sacrificed everything for the
  1740. guidance of humanity
1741. i would like to end it with a few of the
1742. final thoughts we love adore and are in
1743. awe of our favorites sports athletes
1744. actor singer and so on we want to
1745. imitate to them be like them but there
  1746. is something missing
1747. when we cry for them
1748. would uh they cry for us too
1749. most probably not because for them they
1750. are like well what what makes you
1751. something special or deserving there is
1752. someone who will cry for you not that
1753. will cry will more for you
1754. even though he is far more special and
1755. worthy of adoration than anyone else
1756. would it be ever be
1757. the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaikum
1758. a man who would have stand up in the
1759. night until his skin would crack just
1760. praying that we would be here with him
  1761. when we pass away
1762. a man who would cry after the thought of
1763. having followers who would believe in
1764. him without having seen him
1765. every prophet was granted a guaranteed
1766. dua and he saved his and he saved his
  1767. for us
1768. a man who was loved as a leader
1769. a man and his companions would fight
1770. over the drops of water and that would
1771. have fall off his skin
1772. this is a man who would cry for you i
1773. asked myself is he not worthy of my
  1774. tears too
1775. i love my prophet muhammad sallallahu
  1776. alaihi sallam
  1777. peace be upon him
  1778. thank you for listening
  1779. and
1780. i would like to uh turn it to you sister

  1812. their work
1813. uh so masha'allah we have a lot of our

  1823. actually so masha'allah

1827. and the blessing of allah and i'll give
1828. it back to you sister libra
1829. inshallah so our keynote speaker
1830. um just a small bio he was born raised
1831. in dallas has completed an extensive
1832. study of the life of the prophet
  1833. sallallahu alaihi wasallam
1834. he studied the islamic sciences full
1835. time in karachi and he also attained a
1836. bachelor's and masters in arabic while
1837. completing a masters in islamic studies
1838. he taught arabic and islamic studies at
1839. the university of texas he worked with
1840. various islamic schools and served as
1841. the imam out of masjid in the dallas
1842. area and now he's the founder director
1843. and instructor at golam actually one of
  1844. my teachers
1845. alhamdulillah so without further ado
1846. it's a pleasure and an honor to be here
  1847. with you all today
1848. it's nice to uh see and hear from sister
  1849. live mashallah
  1850. and obviously it's always a pleasure
  1851. uh
1852. and just such a joy to see in here
1853. may allah preserve and protect you
  1854. um
1855. and this program the tawaso program
1856. uh mashallah every single year
1857. i was just listening to the speech being
  1858. presented by
1859. brother sami yusuf mashallah um and it's
  1860. just so riveting um
  1861. you know i i couldn't stop listening if
1862. he would have gone on for 30 minutes i
1863. would have been glued to the screen just
1864. listening to him to hear
  1865. a young
  1866. you know bright muslim
  1867. a believer 1400 years later halfway
  1868. across the world
1869. um speak about the prophet salallahu
  1870. from his heart
1871. and to express his love
1872. for the prophet sallallahu alaihi
  1873. wasallam just moves
  1874. you beyond beyond words
1875. so i find it really hard
  1876. to follow that
  1877. but
1878. insha allah in just a few moments in a
1879. few minutes here with you today i wanted
1880. to share a little bit about
1881. uh one thought one reflection i wanted
  1882. to share a perspective
1883. on why i love the prophet
1884. there is an expression in english in our
  1885. culture here
1886. um they say never meet your heroes
1887. and the expression basically what it
1888. means what it speaks to is that if you
  1889. idolize someone
1890. you look up to someone
  1891. you admire someone
  1892. and
  1893. from afar
  1894. you are extremely impressed
1895. and just blown away by the person
  1896. then there's that that's something very
1897. powerful that you have in your life
1898. you have something that you aspire to
1899. you have something that you look up to
1900. but if you meet that person
  1901. what you risk
  1902. is maybe losing
  1903. that
  1904. you know
1905. immensely inspirational force that you
  1906. have in your life
  1907. you know
  1908. um the
1909. you know brother uh brother sammy in his
  1910. uh presentation
1911. he talked about you know people who
1912. might look up to athletes or celebrities
1913. you know imagine if there's some kid
  1914. um
1915. you know and uh growing up
1916. this kid plays basketball all the time
1917. every chance every opportunity he gets
  1918. he's outside
1919. you know dribbling a basketball back and
1920. forth up and down you know if he finds a
1921. hoop then he's there shooting
1922. you know shot after shot
  1923. and there's a professional basketball
  1924. player
1925. a professional athlete that he looks up
1926. to that he admires that he models his
1927. game after he tries to imitate him he
1928. tries to mock him he tries to
  1929. emulate him
  1930. and
  1931. he
1932. thinks that he wants to be just like
  1933. that person
1934. and he looks up to that person so much
1935. and now imagine one day
  1936. you know he
  1937. goes to a game
  1938. all right um
  1939. it's not cheap
1940. you know uh he has to save up a lot of
  1941. money
1942. and he has to beg his parents please
1943. please take me to the game
1944. and they drive an hour two hours away
1945. and then you know park the car and walk
1946. all the way to the arena and then stand
1947. in line for an hour to get in and they
1948. finally get in and they get there like a
1949. couple of hours early so when the
1950. players come out onto the court to shoot
  1951. around and to practice
1952. you know he's lying he's amongst those
1953. early people who got there
  1954. um
  1955. awaiting their arrival
1956. and when they arrive the people who get
1957. there early they're standing in the
1958. front and he's standing there with like
1959. a piece of paper and a pen
  1960. for him to autograph
1961. you know give him his autograph
  1962. and
1963. the player walks by and he's asking for
1964. his autograph and the player looks at
1965. him makes eye contact with him and then
  1966. just keeps walking
1967. and now think about how devastated that
1968. boy is he met his hero
1969. and his hero let him down
  1970. so that's
  1971. situations like that
1972. is where we have this expression in our
  1973. culture this idea
1974. in our culture never meet your heroes
1975. but the prophet sallallahu alaihi
1976. wasallam is the opposite of that
1977. and how do we know that
1978. i haven't met the prophet salallahu in
1979. person you haven't met the prophet
1980. salallahu in person how do we know that
1981. well we know that because
1982. every single person in the life of the
  1983. prophet
1984. ev and not just every single person in
1985. the life of the prophet we heard many
1986. people mention these things today about
1987. how beautiful the prophet salallahu was
  1988. you know jabbing
1989. he says that i was sitting there looking
1990. at the prophet salallahu and i it was
1991. the night of the full moon
  1992. and
1993. laila it was a br like a really bright
1994. night the full moon was out full there
1995. were no clouds and it was just like a
  1996. radiant night
1997. and i looked at the full moon and i
  1998. looked at the prophet
  1999. at the salallahu
2000. moon then i looked at the prophet
2001. salallahu and he says he was more
2002. beautiful than the full moon
2003. and not just that the closer someone was
  2004. to the prophet salallahu
2005. the more they were in awe of him the
2006. closer they were to him
2007. the more closely they knew him
2008. the more they interacted with him the
  2009. more they loved him
2010. the more they admired him
2011. the more they respected him
  2012. the more they
  2013. were impressed by him
2014. the more they wanted to be like him
2015. the more they loved him
2016. and i have a couple of excerpts here
2017. very quick excerpts that i'll share with
2018. you to illustrate this point
  2019. there's a very famous compilation of
  2020. narrations
2021. about the prophet sallallahu alaihi
  2022. wasallam called
  2023. muhammad
  2024. the prophetic personality sallallahu
  2025. alaihi wasallam
2026. and this is a compilation
  2027. by imam
  2028. allah it has
  2029. 397 or 396 narrations almost 400
2030. narrations divided into 56 chapters
2031. and it beautifully describes intricately
2032. everything you you would want to know
  2033. about the prophet salallahu
2034. and in the very first chapter
  2035. a description about
2036. the features and the physical presence
2037. of the prophet sallallahu alaihi sallam
  2038. you have a narration
2039. from none other than ali bin abidalib
  2040. radhiallahu
2041. maybe knew the prophet salallahu just as
  2042. well as anyone
  2043. he
2044. by relation by blood he is the cousin of
2045. the prophet salallahu but he was a lot
  2046. younger than him
  2047. so his father
  2048. ali
2049. whose father abu talib the uncle of the
  2050. prophet salallahu salaam
2051. he was the man who had raised the
2052. prophet salallahu from the age of eight
2053. because his father passed his mother
  2054. passed his grandfather passed
2055. and so abu talib raised the prophet
  2056. salallahu salaam
  2057. now ali
2058. because he was so young abu thought it
  2059. was very elderly
2060. the prophet salallahu to help abu talib
  2061. he took in ali
2062. and raised him like one of his own
  2063. so ali
2064. who knows the prophet salallahu so well
2065. he grew up in his home
2066. he grew up like one of his children so
2067. he knew him since he was a child
2068. he knew him in the role of a guardian
  2069. a parent a legal guardian
2070. and not only that but then he would
2071. become muslim and accept islam
2072. in at the very onset of the mission
2073. so then he spent 23 years as a believer
2074. as a follower or as a student
2075. of the prophet salallahu not only that
2076. but then he was married to
2077. the daughter of the prophet sallallahu
  2078. alaihi wasallam
2079. so he knew the prophet salallahu as a
  2080. father-in-law
2081. so he knows him as a guardian
  2082. as a parental figure
2083. he knows him as a prophet he knows him
2084. as a teacher he knows him as the
  2085. messenger
2086. and he knows him as a father-in-law as
  2087. an in-law
  2088. and what does it
2089. say when he describes the prophet
  2090. sallallahu alaihi wasallam
  2091. he says
2092. the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
  2093. was the
  2094. most generous of people
2095. he was the most truthful and honest of
  2096. people
2097. that he was the gentlest
  2098. of people
  2099. in demeanor in behavior
2100. and he was the most noble
  2101. and respectful of people
2102. if someone saw him all of a sudden
2103. they would be impressed by him
  2104. womanhood
2105. and if somebody actually got the
2106. opportunity to interact with him
2107. they would fall in love with him
  2108. sallallahu
  2109. he says that
2110. i never saw anyone before him nor did i
2111. ever see anyone after him who was quite
  2112. like him
  2113. there's another excerpt
2114. where this individual is a fascinating
  2115. you know situation
  2116. his name is
  2117. the
  2118. son of khadijah
2119. our mother the mother of the believers
2120. she was married before she was married
2121. to the prophet sallallahu alaihi
2122. she had a son from that marriage
2123. his name he was a boy when she married
2124. the prophet salallahu and his name was
  2125. hind
2126. so he is the stepson of the prophet
  2127. salallahu
  2128. once again
2129. pardon my reference but we're all
2130. familiar right growing up about stories
2131. about step parents and step children
2132. right i hate to make such a terrible
2133. reference in such a beautiful gathering
  2134. but
2135. we all grew up knowing the story of
  2136. cinderella right
2137. and her evil stepmother and her
2138. stepsisters and so it's kind of a
  2139. a cliche
  2140. in our
  2141. culture
2142. about you know step children and step
2143. parents and the relationship there
  2144. in our culture
2145. it tells us that it's not supposed to be
  2146. really good
2147. this is the stepson of the prophet
  2148. salallahu
2149. and the prophet salallahu as his own
  2150. and
  2151. even
2152. hassan the grandson of the prophet
  2153. sallallahu alaihi
2154. s the family of the prophet
  2155. he says that
2156. i asked my uncle because he's the older
2157. half brother of his mother fatima
2158. to describe the prophet sallallahu
2159. alaihi wasallam and he says
2160. he was the most elaborate person when it
2161. came to describing the physical presence
  2162. of the prophet salallahu
  2163. and
2164. when he describes the prophet salallahu
  2165. he says
2166. the stepson of the prophet saw
  2167. he says
2168. he said the prophet sallallahu alaihi
  2169. wasallam
  2170. was very honorable
  2171. and respected
  2172. he was awe-inspiring
  2173. he was impressive
2174. he took your breath away
  2175. and he says
  2176. but
2177. he says that his face would shine and
2178. radiate his face would glow
2179. like the glow of the full moon
  2180. on a still night
  2181. and so
2182. the people who knew the prophet
  2183. salallahu best
2184. they forget about being diminished in
  2185. their appreciation of him
2186. forget about taking him for granted
  2187. they
2188. were the most impressed by him
2189. because that's the character of the
2190. prophet salallahu he loved everyone he
2191. respected everyone he honored everyone
2192. he looked at everyone he saw everyone
2193. he listened to everyone he spoke to
  2194. everyone
2195. he prayed for everyone he cried for
  2196. everyone and that
  2197. character
  2198. that
  2199. just
  2200. beauty
2201. is why i love the prophet salallahu
2202. thank you for always answering the call
2203. of the youth here at tawaso
2204. you saw them and masha'allah
  2205. we would love to
2206. as things getting better to host you
2207. here in person and you know let the
2208. people enjoy the sohbah and the
2209. companionship mashallah like you do
  2210. in dallas
  2211. and inshallah
2212. please everyone listening check the
2213. kalam institute they have classes online
2214. they have classes in person
2215. people actually move from all over the
2216. world to live in dallas next to their
2217. institution just to go through the
  2218. program
2219. as a matter of fact the children
2220. the sons of imam tahir actually are
  2221. regular attendees of institute
  2222. so
2223. and students masha allah including also
2224. our hostess here masha allah sister
2225. hussain so jazakum for answering our
2226. call and may allah reward you
2227. so uh we have uh we did nasheed
  2228. masha'allah
2229. in from malaysia in arabic we did
  2230. nasheed from turkey in
  2231. you know
  2232. turkish actually
2233. so i thought like maybe we need to do
  2234. some nasheed in english
2235. so uh we have someone who has a hobby to
  2236. give nasheed masha'allah
2237. and uh introducing to you

2240. insha'allah so go ahead malik
2241. so i'm going to be singing a song it's
2242. by maher zain and it's about
2243. the love to rasulullah so just

  2341. we have leibachan
  2342. and
  2343. rashid
  2344. sheikh
2345. they were both in the first place so
2346. they are double winners and the second
2347. place for elementary was habiba ali
2348. in the third place for elementary was
  2349. fatima muhammad

2472. lovers of the prophet saws they didn't

2498. the third winner mashaallah even though
2499. this competition is public speaking but
2500. she combined public speaking with poem
2501. in a very beautiful way so sister sadia
2502. please run her and then we conclude our
  2503. program jazakum baker
  2504. my name is
  2505. is
  2506. alhamdulillah so the technical
2507. difficulty happened sorry about that
2508. yeah it looks like it's something i
2509. think it has played two on two windows
2510. i'm sorry let me just try it inshallah
2511. the prophet muhammad was brave and bold
2512. yet he was the most kind
2513. he had a soft heart that shone like gold
2514. and he never left a friend behind
  2515. [Music]
2516. he went through agony yet stayed strong
2517. faith was his food and
2518. was his song he tried to convince
2519. pureish to take heed yet they were
2520. consumed by their very own greed
2521. when he spoke with them
2522. they would force a laugh
2523. they didn't even change when he split
2524. the moon in half his will was strong and
2525. he never stopped believing because he
2526. knew it was worth achieving
2527. so he strobed for his faith with
2528. radiance on his face his companions say
2529. that he continuously prayed and there
2530. was no human who smiled more than he he
  2531. always cared for humanity
2532. yet those close to him also relate that
2533. he did not have an easy fate
2534. he had to struggle through pain
2535. agony that could drive someone insane
2536. and there was no man who cried more than
2537. he as he strove for his community
2538. when the people of law if stoned him for
2539. miles sneering with nasty smiles the
2540. angel gave him the choice to crush his
2541. antagonists with a mountain or leave
  2542. them alive
2543. and in a calm voice
2544. he said to let them thrive
2545. for how could we know that their
2546. children wouldn't grow into dedicated
2547. slaves of their lord the prophet
2548. preferred peace to the sword
2549. yet he was mighty when battle raged he
2550. would fight allah's enemies like a lion
2551. uncaged with fierce companions by his
2552. side the fire of hope never died
2553. he gave to his loved ones more than
2554. required and allah's company was what he
2555. most desired even when riches were
2556. acquired he never gave in to greed or
2557. when he was wary and tired he still
2558. quenched others needs he planted the
2559. strongest seeds of friendship and honor
2560. and loyalty he never chose royalty he
  2561. always kept his dignity
2562. he never stopped striving for a better
2563. world and thanks to him the squirrel of
2564. islam was unfurled indeed muhammad
2565. sallallahu alaihi wasallam is the most
2566. worthy of praise may we remember him for
2567. the rest of our days his life was a
2568. light that reminds us all that in shadow
2569. of doom we should stand tall
2570. put our trust in a law and keep our
2571. faith with joy in our eyes and a smile
  2572. on our face
2573. jazakallahu for listening i hope you
  2574. enjoyed that poem
2575. and i hope that you will tell others
2576. about our amazing prophet and share your
  2577. love for him
2578. and inshallah i hope that you are
2579. encouraged to learn more about him and
  2580. his seerah assalamu alaikum
  2581. is
