3 moments mention “Ramadan”:

  1. Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
  2. And welcome back to Tawasaw's institute Ramadan series for 1446. Before we move
  3. forward with our series, I'd like to lay the foundation for our relationship with
  4. Allah SWT, this foundation has three major points that have to be
  5. clear in the heart and mind of every believer before they build anything on
  6. the top of it. The first thing of these three things is at Tawheed, that you
  7. believe that Allah SWT is the One and only but there is much
  8. explanation to that point that we will explain today. Then we will talk about
  9. At-Taslim, the submission and surrender to Allah SWT. Then after
  10. that we will talk about Husnu Dhann in Allah, to think positively in Allah SWT
  11. at all times. Without these three things it's impossible to
  12. move forward and you will always be crippling and falling and unable to
  13. bring about a change in your life based on your belief. My dear brothers and
  14. sisters, when we see the word At-Tawheed usually it's translated to The Oneness
  15. of God, I don't like that translation because that makes the whole thing
  16. established on an adjective, based on a noun. If you believe that God is One
  17. you're done, you're a Muslim, you can move forward right now. No, Tawheed can also
  18. be used as a verb which means to unite. To unite all of your hopes in life
  19. in one hope. All of your fears in one fear. That that hope and fear lies first and
  20. foremost in Allah SWT. This is so essential, so fundamental that
  21. without the clarity in the impact of Tawheed on our hearts and minds and on
  22. our lives. Allah gives an example in The Noble Quran in which He says
  23. (Allah sets forth the parable)
  24. If we start using the word Tawheed as to
  25. unite we will always be called to action not just to stagnant belief and that's
  26. why Allah SWT tells us that the impact of believing in Allah as
  27. One and making that faith and belief active the impact of that on you is that
  28. you become one. What is the blessings and what's the biggest major impact of
  29. believing in Allah as one on our lives? Is that it saves us from being scattered
  30. I'm afraid of this and this and this and that and I have my hopes here and here
  31. and here and there and I rely on this one and that one and this one and that
  32. one and I'm hoping this one will benefit me and this one will benefit me and I'm
  33. gonna have to chase this one and I'm have to spoil this one because I want
  34. something from them and I'm afraid of this and this and that. That's when
  35. you become scattered but when you believe in Allah SWT that
  36. your God, your beneficiary is One and that's why Allah described in the Quran
  37. (Allah is the Guardian of the believers, He brings them out of darkness and into light)
  38. Allah is the guardian, the caretaker, the protector of the believers, He takes them
  39. out from darknesses to light. Notice how darknesses is plural and light is
  40. singular. The darkness of stress, the darkness of depression, the darkness of
  41. anxiety and fear, the darkness of panic attacks and going frantic and losing
  42. your mind and heart and soul and peace. So many darknesses in life
  43. The darkness of the way of the devil, the darkness of bad company, the darkness of
  44. losing hope in life and becoming helpless. So many things out there that
  45. can destroy us, Allah takes us from darknesses to light, why? Because we
  46. believe in Him as our "Walei" custodian and this "Walei" His name is Al-Wahid and Al-Ahad "The One and Sole God"
  47. They're both very unique names. The One, Al-Wahid, like the One because there's
  48. only one God so He is the One God. The second one is Al-Ahad, the Only One, the
  49. unique One, the different One, the One that no one else is like Him. As Allah said in the Quran
  50. (There is nothing like Him, for He ˹alone˺ is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing)
  51. and Allah in a short surah that every Muslim recites in their prayers
  52. (Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “He is Allah, One ˹and Indivisible˺; Allah, the Sustainer ˹needed by all˺)
  53. Say Allah is unique and different, Allah is special, Allah is the One and Only and
  54. He is self-sustaining that everyone needs Him and comes to Him for help and He
  55. doesn't need anyone else. This has a huge impact on our lives. When there is a
  56. place in your heart that you will only give to God Almighty only to Allah, why?
  57. Because He's the One and the Only. So just like He's the One and the Only
  58. there will be a place in your heart and in your mind and in the depth of your
  59. soul for the One and Only which means no one will share that space in that place
  60. with Allah SWT. That place is in your mind and heart and if
  61. anyone else starts sharing that space in your mind and heart then you are falling
  62. in Shirk, associating partners with Allah. Most people when they approach this
  63. topic of Tawheed, they're thinking Shirk happens somewhere else in the world like
  64. people are calling about you know they're worshipping trees or stones or the stars
  65. or the moon or the sun, whatever people worship or people even worship people
  66. The idea here is Shirk doesn't happen in the real world because in the real world
  67. there's only one God, that's a fact. Like people for thousands of years thought
  68. the earth was flat. It wasn't flat because it was a globe and that's a fact
  69. whether people say it, believe it or they don't, it doesn't make any difference
  70. My dear brothers and sisters, out there in the world there is only one God, then
  71. where does Shirk take place? It happens in your mind and heart and soul. So to
  72. establish a relationship with Allah SWT Allah has to look in
  73. your heart and soul and he does have that capacity and ability because He
  74. sees through you, He knows what you say to yourself
  75. (Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ created humankind and ˹fully˺ know what their souls whisper to them)
  76. We created the human and We know what he whispers to himself. Allah can see
  77. through you, scan your heart. If Allah sees in your heart that there is a
  78. special place for Him, that no one else shares that space, then Allah will accept
  79. you as a devotee, One of Allah's devotees. If Allah looks in
  80. your heart as He said in the Hadith, the Prophet PBUH said
  81. in the Hadith Al-Qudsi that whosoever does an action that he puts a partner
  82. with me, He does it for me and for someone else, I leave my part because I'm
  83. the richest of the partners, I'll leave my part to the other one and I will
  84. leave. I will not accept that deed. I will not be in that heart. If a person commits
  85. Shirk, the biggest effect and impact is on him or herself first because now
  86. you're gonna live scattered and you know the difference between living in one as
  87. one entity and one peace versus living scattered is the difference between
  88. peace and tranquility and between war and destruction. This all happens inside
  89. you so you have to really spend time with yourself. Every prayer, try at least
  90. once a day to sit down with yourself for five minutes and say
  91. There is no God but one God, oh Allah help me to unite all of my fears in one
  92. fear just only I am only worried about my relationship with You, I only have
  93. fear from you and I only put my hopes in You, oh Allah purify my heart and my soul
  94. so that there is no God but One God inside my heart, oh Allah show me how can
  95. I do that? Show me how can I accomplish that? This is the best prayer that you can
  96. make and especially in the month of Ramadan. You know Ramadan silences all
  97. the noises, food, water, mating, relationship, all the things that
  98. creates noise Ramadan silences it and it gives you that silence so that you can
  99. think and talk to yourself and engrave "There is no God but One God" in your heart so that
  100. Allah will become your "Walei" custodian so that Allah will become Al-Wahid Al-Ahad, the
  101. One and the Only in your heart and that will be very essential the first major
  102. step on your way to Allah SWT and in your relationship with Him
  103. May Allah the Mighty and Majestic make us in His eyes from those who really were able to
  104. purify themselves from Shirk and to practice Tawheed in their lives
  105. May Allah help us against all enemies that stand against this goal
  106. Ameen Ya Rabb Alameen
  107. May God’s blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions
