The Vital Relationship | Your Relationship With Allah Ep.3 | Sh. Alauddin ElBakri | Ramadan Series
Shaykh Alauddin ElBakri
1 moment mention “Relationship with Allah”:
- Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
- Continuing with the theme that how Allah SWT sees us in the Quran
- and how He presents us in His word, in His book, in one Surah after another
- Glory be to Allah from the first five verses that were revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH
- you can see the value of the human
- What did Allah reveal?
- (Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created, created humans from a clinging clot)
- Read, recite, observe in the name of your Lord who created
- Created, open-ended, created everything
- What's the next verse?
- (created humans from a clinging clot)
- He created the human from a hanging clot
- The beginning of the pregnancy when the embryo clings itself to the womb
- Glory be to Allah
- and then the baby starts growing and growing and growing
- This word "Alaq" clinging clot has in it the word for relationship in Arabic
- In English, it's relationship
- In Arabic, it's "Alaqa" relationship
- and the word "Alaqa" relationship comes from "Ta'alluq" clinging
- and even the word "Ta'alluq" is used in Urdu and in Persian and other languages, in Turkish
- Which means to hang up, to be connected deeply, strongly to someone or to something
- So Allah said that we came in the beginning of this world clinging to something
- From this clinging comes the word, the relationship
- Glory be to Allah, we come to this world first and our mother's wombs clinging to the womb
- Then we are born, then we cling to our mothers
- Then we grow up, we cling to our fathers
- Then we grow up, we cling to our friends
- Then we grow up and we cling to our school and what we want to study
- Then we grow up and we cling to the job
- Then we grow up, then we cling to our wealth
- Now we have wealth and a house and a car
- Then we grow up and we cling to our spouses
- Then we grow up and we cling to our children
- And then at a certain point, it hits you
- When things go down that no one can be there for you
- Not even yourself
- When you go to the doctor and the doctor says
- Oh my God, you have a very dangerous, you know, cancer or something going on
- You can't even help yourself at that moment
- Even the doctor in front of you cannot help you
- They can do their best
- They can apply the latest and greatest in the world of science
- But they cannot heal you
- That's why Allah SWT will make you go through experiences in life
- Until you reach to the point that you should not cling to anyone
- Except Him, Allah SWT
- He's the only one who has been there for you before you were born
- Who has been there for you in your mother's womb
- Who has been there for you in your childhood
- Who has been protecting you from yourself
- Protecting you from your enemies
- Protecting you from the devil
- Protecting you from destiny that will destroy you
- and then you have not seen it
- You didn't see all of that until the light bulb goes in your head
- and you see, oh my God, Allah has been there for me all along
- Not only that, with the moment of death
- There will be no one there for you except Allah
- In your grave, there will be no one there for you except Allah
- On the Day of Judgment, there will be no one for you except Allah
- and the only reason why you will even enter heaven
- It's because of Allah
- That's why my dear brothers and sisters
- It's amazing how much we human beings spend energy trying to build friendships
- Connect to this person, connect to that person
- Oh my God, that guy is rich, let me connect with him
- Oh, that guy is connected, let me connect to him
- It's interesting how much do we spend time and energy and thoughts and plans
- and networks to reach to something temporary
- And how little we spend of energy and thought
- To connect the one who has the world in His own hands, Glory be to Allah
- My dear brothers and sisters
- It's very important to invest in the relationship with Allah SWT
- and to cling to Him
- He's the only one that can actually help you in any moment in your life
- In the darkest moment, in the lowest moment, in the hardest moment
- When you feel no one is there for you
- It's very important that you have that relationship
- and you reach out to Allah SWT
- Who wants to help you
- Who wants to be there for you
- Who has started the relationship with you on a positive note
- Created you as honorable being
- Wants honor for you
- and this is very important for us to realize
- Because, you know, our own thoughts of our own selves
- Our own evaluation of the world
- Like who can help me, who cannot
- Let me get connected to this person
- If I have this much money, I'll be fine and I don't need anyone
- We all know, no matter how young or old we are
- That money will not bring you happiness
- and money will not solve your problems
- Money will not heal you if you get sick
- Money will not make you happy if you fall in depression and sadness
- Money will not release your stress if you get stressed out
- and people cannot do that either
- You can't help yourself
- You can't completely rely on yourself and live life as if you are God
- You're not God
- So don't act like one
- Wake up and live and enjoy living as a human being
- Don't carry the world on your shoulders
- Do your part and leave the rest for Allah SWT
- Invest, invest, invest in that relationship
- May Allah SWT connect us to Him
- and may Allah make us see Him as the most important thing in our life
- Like the most important relationship
- Because if you get that relationship right, believe me
- Every other relationship will be right in your life
- This is Ramadan
- This is the time we build that strong bonding relationship
- Let's go into it with sincerity and do our best
- and may Allah accept from us
- Ameen ya Rabb Alameen
- Wa Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
