Camp Nexus is the summer extension of the Camp Iqra learning journey, offering students an immersive environment where faith, learning, and mentorship come together through thematic exploration and experiential activities.
Camp Nexus brings mentees together in Suhba for a focused learning experience where knowledge is explored through discussion, sports, activities, reflection, and mentorship. Through engaging themes and interactive learning, students deepen their understanding of Islam while strengthening their connection to the community and to one another.
Camp IQRA and Camp Nexus Development Model
Camp Iqra and Camp Nexus primarily nurtures students in the stages of Tarbiyah (building habits, character, and behavior) and Tazkiyah (inner purification and spiritual grounding).
These stages build the framework of Islamic identity, character, and faith, enabling students to lead themselves and lead others on the straight path.
At these stages, students develop:
A stronger relationship with Allah
A deeper awareness of self and intention
Strong bonding with other Muslims
Deep sense of responsibility towards humanity and Allah’s creations.
Paid Mentorship Opportunity at Camp Nexus
Rooted in the theme “Beyond the Horizon: Character & Legacy,” mentors will play a key role in shaping campers’ experiences through Quran, mentorship, connection, tarbiyah, sports, and creative activities.
Responsibilities include leading small groups, supporting daily programming, building relationships with campers, and helping create a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Camp logistics:
Days and times: Mondays through Thursdays, 7/20 - 8/6/26, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Mandatory Training: Monday, 7/13/26 to Thursday, 7/16/26, 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Age Requirement: 14 years or older (by 7/12/26)
Location: Muslim Community Association (MCA)
